  1. That. Airsoft - it's all about looking cool
  2. I used to run only mids but then I started running mids with normal ammo and a hicap with tracer (just because that's what I had spare) which led to me just using the high cap full of tracer. I now have Incentive Designs tracer mags for both M4 and AK so I may go back to mix and matching.
  3. Been there, done that, got the tinnitus to prove it. One of my first trips to the Mall I was coming up a set of stairs into the back of one of the shops. There was a small (6'x8') room at the top where there would have been a couple of doors originally. In the ensuing melee, three BFGs and two Mk5s came into the room and went off near simultaneously. That was fun.
  4. Not sure to be honest. I know the one for the Vector pushes over 340 from a gun firing around 280-290 as it makes my friends one go over the site limit at the Malls.
  5. Or you could just buy one... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HALF-COVER-AIRSOFT-BB-GUN-COSTUME-DEMON-SAMURAI-HANNYA-KABUKI-MASK-black-MA124-/281561944531
  6. Only if the barrel extends through the silencer. So no, probably not.

  8. Ah, gotcha see what you mean now. I must say I don't know why they haven't made a version of the short handguard Honey Badger (which I think looks better anyway).
  9. That's the thing with aesthetics though, isn't it. Very subjective. I quite like honey badgers but don't like the AW 338. Takes all sorts.
  10. It's not his gun, he just photoshops paint jobs onto pictures.
  11. They're not too bad but you are at the mercy of customs.
  12. Nothing wrong with the ics gear but spending a bit more and getting a g&g will get you a better gun. It's especially true in airsoft that you get what you pay for.
  13. Having a defence against prosecution is not the same as not having committed an offence. Not being prosecuted for an offence does not make it any less illegal to commit that offence just that you will not be punished for that offence.
  14. Print out the attached file at 100% (no scaling) and put your hand on the guide. That'll tell you how big a pair of gloves you'll need (from Mechanix at least). Their gloves range a bit in price but if you go with the Fast Fit ones they run about £15 on Military 1st http://www.military1st.co.uk/combat-gear-gloves/?catid=371657&cfSearch1=brand&cfvalue1=mechanix%20wear Glove-Sizing-Guide-wScale.pdf
  15. Friend of mine is considering doing his Pathfinders selection (ex 3 Para, currently 4 Para) or going into SFSG. Hence the question.
  16. These are made with Hocks Noise Brakers http://www.hocksproducts.com/hocks_noise_braker%C2%AE so they claim to reduce high SPL sounds while still allowing normal hearing of speech. We'll see. If that doesn't pan out I'll be looking at the Peltor electronic 6S ear defenders which I know work well having used some for shooting.
  17. Must be thinking of a different gun then, all the BO stuff I've seen was more in the £700 range... Just checked, I've only seen the BO Dynamics Proline stuff up until now. Didn't realise they did cheaper ones! My bad.
  18. When you say "handspan" what are you measuring? Gloves are usually sized by the width of your palm across the knuckles with your fingers together. 7.5" seems pretty huge for a pair of gloves!
  19. That's weird - what you posted and what I quote are different! Spooky.
  20. Correct me if I'm wrong but I didn't think that Pathfinders came under UKSF?
  21. Is there any particular type of rifle you like the look of or particularly dislike the look of before we start making recommendations for M4s only to find out you actually wanted an AK47?
  22. Yeah, sorry that was a little facetious of me. Top right corner of the forum is a little envelope. Click on that and it'll show you your inbox. Click on the title of a conversation and you'll see the messages, that's where you'll be able to reply. The green tick thingy is like a "like", yes. Like "like" on Facebook, like.
