  1. TM - short for Tokyo Marui, manufacturer of high quality (and price) airsoft weaponry (among other things) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_Marui WE - another manufacturer of airsoft weaponry. Quite a name in the gas blowback market but making significant inroads in the electric market too http://www.weairsoft.com/ DMR - Designated Marksman Rifle basically the weapon of a soldier fulfilling a role partway between sniper and infantryman http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Designated_marksman_rifle "they take 100% TM parts" - Tokyo Marui were the first to design a number of parts for airsoft (the hop up unit for example) so many other manufacturers have copied them This means that many airsoft weapons being based on Tokyo Marui designs will take Tokyo Marui parts which can be better than the manufacturers parts as the copies are usually produced to a lower cost. Often a phrase applied to sniper rifles based on the Tokyo Marui VSR10.
  2. SanDisk would be my recommendation too. I use them in my camcorder (HD Sony jobber) and they're great if a little more pricey. Pixmania usually have the best prices.
  3. Welcome! You could try here: http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/12854-new-player-guides-info/ What sort of things are you looking for? Any terms you've already seen and need to know?
  4. Airlab order just arrived, bits for the AK and a Hunter Seeker AR clip - no more V2 anti reversal woes for me!
  5. If you want to get stuff 3D printed without all the tedious faffing about of buying a decent 3D printer, try www.shapeways.com Cheaper than buying your own printer and probably better quality than anything you could do yourself with a cheap printer anyway.
  6. Jesus mate, calm down! That kind of wild spending will crash the markets!!!
  7. Yep http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/24456-tm-1911-meu-plus-mags-and-serpa/
  8. My TM MEU has always emptied ok but doesn't always lock back the slide. It's for sale if you're interested...
  9. Yeah I'm pretty sure I read about these a while back on a US forum. A guy was using then in some ess fan goggles. Pretty much fog proof apparently...
  10. Blimey! You must be as old as me then
  11. Blimey....how old are you?!?!! Nice Joe Pineapples avatar pic by the way
  12. There is a VFC torch specifically for the 1911 but I'm not sure who would still have one in stock. It mounts without needing a rail (attaches via the slide release) if you want something "correct" otherwise you're looking at an aftermarket rail that attaches as per PT247's post or changing the frame to one with a rail moulded in.
  13. Couple of new torches from ApexTac on the bay of E. Pretty quick postage, no customs charges, sent in a nice box. Definitely use them again!
  14. I think the issue is in separating feelings of anger and grief from knee jerk anti Islamic rhetoric.
  15. I can feel an Airlab order coming on...
  16. I had a quick google and apparently that picture is of a LRRP unit in the central highlands. Pretty interesting actually - most likely (considering the role and the area) to have been a member of the 1st Air Cav that were moved into the LRRP role at the time who coincidentally were one of the first units to get the M16. By "tapered grip" do you mean the foregrip? As I've personally only ever seen 60's/70's era ones with the tapered, triangular style. There is suggestion that civilian spec AR15s were supplied to SF units (presumably to try and keep up with supply requirements) so it's perfectly possible I just couldn't make out enough detail in the picture.
  17. Interesting picture, where did you find it? Incidentally the guy on the left is wearing US Woodland not Tiger Stripe. Could you explain how you identified the rifle in the background as an AR-15 and not an M16?
  18. ^^^^^ what he said. Also bear in mind the whole "square peg round hole" issue. If you have a tube with a 10mm ID a battery that is 10mm wide WON'T FIT.
  19. If it's gone from your bank account then surely it's Paypals problem?
  20. There's no shame in it. At least you tried.
  21. Little from column A, little from column B. Both issues are something I'd like to address but one thing at a time....
  22. No, not really. No site will ever be 100% attended every day it's open but the Mall is almost always sold out on a Sunday. Exceptions tend to be particularly hot days or the week or two mid December (the last one before Xmas is always full).
