  1. The mag won't stop the gun from cycling though.
  2. Simple things to check - is there a fuse in the wire from the battery? If so that might be blown. Also worth checking the wires just after the fuse holder before they go into the receiver - sometimes they have a tiny little crimp connector in both wires that just loves to fall apart! Check the wires haven't come off of the motor too (you'll need to take the stock off to do that - pull out the pin at the top rear of the receiver and the whole thing should swing down. As far as the trigger goes, the usual problem is that the contacts weld together so it wold actually not stop firing which is the complete opposite to what you have! M249s are actually pretty easy to work on so don't panic!
  3. If they're LiPo batteries it can be just as problematic to post them. For the money they cost I'd just buy new ones over here.
  4. Sorry - when you say you get "nothing" does the gun not cycle or does the mag just not feed?
  5. I have the A5 version at home at the minute - if you can wait a bit I'll measure the pin for you. Most places seem to stock the handguard pin but I'm pretty sure the stock pin is larger and longer. If it's the same as a real steel one you can get them pretty cheap from here: http://www.hkparts.net/shop/pc/HK-German-Butt-Stock-Push-Pin-83p76.htm but I'm not exactly sure on size right now.
  6. Do it properly and use a decent rubber and you might get a bit of an increase. Be a bit cack handed and it will most likely drop.
  7. You don't need a new gun, you need to fix the one you've got. A G&G CM in good condition should perform far better than that. Chances are the hop rubber needs replacing and possibly the nozzle. Both cheap and relatively easy to do.

Let's be honest - it's pretty hard to justify anything we buy in this hobby. Other than use of the phrase "BUT IT'S SO COOOOOOOL!" :)

  9. Do you keep anything for more than six weeks? Interested in your opinion on the Lonex M4 though. Quite tempted myself....
  10. http://full-ops.com/index.php/equipment-tactique/holstres/accessoires/blackhawk-molle-platform.html
  11. The only airsoft one I can find is the KWC which is a springer. Parts will be hard to find but best bet would probably be ehobbyasia.com
  12. ^^^^^^^^ This. A thousand times.
  13. Excess of political correctness or indeed an excellent level of restraint. Personally I think he should have been arrested for being a dick at the very least.
  14. If it tastes of oil it's probably an M110. Or an M90 that's been dipped in oil. Tricky business see.... Generally springs do fall into a range denominated by the number in metres per second so an M100 should give a muzzle velocity around 100m/s (or 328FPS). BUT - there is a difference between manufacturers as ably demonstrated in this chart: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/SpringChart.php (note that that is from Airsoft Canada and doesn't include many of the brands that are easily purchased here). Muzzle velocity is also HIGHLY dependant on a number of other factors (Cylinder volume to barrel volume ratio, quality of airseal etc) so the spring strength should only ever be a rough guide. I have personally had issues with M90 springs resulting in guns with 350+fps (when combined with double seal cylinder head, high quality piston head, o-ring airseal nozzle and a decent hop rubber).
  15. Look at this thread: http://forums.zeroin.co.uk/showthread.php?61336-Resident-evil-loadouts-An-ongoing-guide/page2 Find post number 55 (where the picture I posted comes from) and it explains what the kit is. SAAV = South African Assault Vest (a type of chest rig with fixed pouches) here's a black one for less than £30 http://www.military1st.co.uk/10711002-mil-tec-south-african-assault-vest-black.html
  16. I jest of course. Unfortunately there isn't an easy way to tell what power a spring is without putting it in a gun and chronoing it. That's why I always try and label any I take out of my guns with a bit of tape....
  17. Lick it. If it tastes like apples then it's an M90.
  18. You'll need a second hand one that somebody else has already upgraded then.
  19. Despite being on *cough*zeroin*cough* this seems to be a pretty decent thread on the loadout. Look for the post on Page 2 that has the above photo as it details the rig and mods it's had done to it. Starts out as a bog stock SAAV rig though which you can get pretty much anywhere for not much money.
  20. It looks like standard tiger stripe that's been overdyed with black to me.
  21. The MK20 SSR is basically a long ass SCAR H so no, the mags won't fit into M4 pouches, you'll need 7.62 pouches (my recommendation is pretty much always UK Tactical for that). No idea on where to find mags though, sorry.
  22. Can you be a bit more specific? I assume by RE you mean Resident Evil?
  23. OK then. I had a pretty good trawl myself and it seems the general response is "get the G&G suppressor" as it's about the only on that fits
