  1. Taiwangun are great. They used to do free shipping on pretty much everything but the 11euros they charge now hardly breaks the bank. Make sure you put your UKARA number in the order comments and they'll write it on the shipping label to avoid any customs hassle. I bought a Cyma EBR from them a few weeks ago. No problems and it arrived in about 4 days.
  2. Obvious troll is obvious.
  3. Gears need grease (a little - not loads) I'd recommend Abbey LT2 gun grease. Piston will need a little grease on the runners, again either Abbey LT2 or Abbey silicone gun grease. I have used 3-in-1 Lithium spray grease with good effect when I put a gearbox back together having forgotten to re-lube the gears. Bit messy but it seems to have done the job.
  4. The gun is very front heavy, I tend to hold it around where the AFG is. Any angled grip puts a lot of strain on my wrist so I'm thinking a more vertical style will be easier for me (carpal tunnel release operations have left me with reduced strength in my wrists unfortunately). I'll be running it at the Malls Sunday week so I'll decide then. This is the mount I was trying to get by the way:
  5. I did find a place that was doing a Sage DCSB style scope mount which looked the absolute mutts nuts but they wouldn't take a UK payment card and then they wouldn't ship outside of the US so it was all getting a bit ridiculous. Plus I had an attack of common sense - $100 is a lot for 4" of rail just because it looks cool...
  6. Apologies for the mess, but here she is. AFG might get changed for an RVG or a Tango Down grip but other than that, pretty happy with how she looks.
  7. I'd try it first. You may not find that you need to do anything to it. Many people make the mistake of assuming that just because their gun is 20-30FPS below their site limit they HAVE to upgrade. It's only worth doing if you can't hit what you expect to be able to (which is often as much to do with the user as it is the gun).
  8. Fitting a lower power spring is often referred to as "downgrading".
  9. You'll need to provide some sort of defence against the VCRA. Not having UKARA registration (it's not a licence before everyone else starts shouting about it) isn't the end of the world but it's the easiest way of proving why you're allowed to have a RIF. Secondly you'll need to contact the airline and clear it with them. It'll most likely have to be in your checked luggage so you'll need to include any supporting documentation in the case with it for when it gets opened. Not sure how much of the advice here is relevant because it comes from the TSA but: http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/topic/77390-so-you-want-to-travel-on-an-airplane-with-your-airsoft-gun/ worth a look.
  10. Looked at the VK one but this scored on a few pointers, it's a 30mm objective lens (VK is only 26mm), it has a chevron and range indicator type reticle as opposed to the dot and T style (personal preference more than practicality to be honest) and for the same price as the VK alone it comes with the mount included.
  11. Definitely correct the AoE. It's an easy job and cheap on parts. The sorbo pad will protect your bearbox and getting it right will extend the life of your piston/gears. More worthwhile than a couple of extra inches on your barrel length that's for sure. Be aware that it will drop your FPS by up to 10fps ish so take that into account when choosing your spring.
  12. Yep. Nail, head. Of course if you get the CYMA anything beyond a new (lower power) spring will still cost less than the difference to a new TM leaving more spare money to spend on magazines/pouches/tactical frippery.
  13. Not worth the cost/hassle. I'd suggest you get the gun, try it and upgrade what actually NEEDS upgrading rather than just what some bloke who says he's an expert on the internet says (voice of experience by the way, I've spent so much on things that other people have said would make a huge difference but when it came to it made sod all difference at all) It's actually a pretty accurate gun straight out of the box.
  14. Why do you think you need to extend the barrel anyway? It's plenty long enough as it is.
  15. Didn't think the recon rigs were out yet. How is it?
  16. Yep. He's massive. Makes him an easy target mind you... Lovely bloke though.
  17. Same problem I'm having! Not only is the G&P one expensive it's also out of stock everywhere and I believe they've actually stopped making them. I know from a couple of real steel shooting websites that a Madbull Gemtech Halo type will work but again, pricey and hard to find!
  18. If you try to go longer on the barrel you'll need a suppressor to hide it.
  19. Errrmmm...maybe. I don't honestly know. Depends where you want to get to. I assume you've had a look at this: http://www.airsoftsniperforum.com/43-longrange-aegs/892-holy-grail-building-your-dmr-aeg.html
  20. Yes and no. With a spring upgrade then definitely. Mine was chrono'd at 350 with zero hop (dropped about 10fps with the hop on). It's a clone of the TM design so parts are readily available.
  21. You should try the malls at reading. Cqb but great fun.
  22. I recently bought that very gun from tg. Is nice, I like.
  23. I'm friends with him on fb, he doesn't get to play all that much. He is hitting the gym again though. Apparently his wife thought he'd lost too much bulk!
