The akimbo near the start was pretty cool :D

  2. I've used Eotech, red dot, c-more reflex, T1 and iron sights. Out of all, my favourite to use is the C-More reflex sight. It has great eye relief, very low profile, enables you to aim with both eyes open and looks great. Got mine from JD airsoft, Cannock, Staffs: https://jdairsoft.net/element-seemore-railway-reflex-red-dot-black Not sure how one would look on a HK, I have used mine on my Scar-L and Honey Badger - both looked great! In all honesty though, with sights, it all comes down to personal preference. I don't have 2 of the same optic - I have 6 guns with optics on, all of which are different! Something I would advise against however, is a flip to side scope unless you have a DMR, as it can just get in the way if you are running an aeg.
  3. Anyone know where I can get a spring from the blowback unit for a tm 5-7 from? Mines died!

If all else fails and you are really stuck you can buy a pack of small mixed springs on fleabay for a few quid - bound to be something you can cut to size/fit

  4. +1 for Asg/Kwa MP9 Tiny and compact, great range, plenty of customisation options, nice amount of ammo per mag. Small enough to be a sidearm and good enough to be a cqb primary...I've even used mine as a primary during woodland before and maneged to get a nice amount of kills.

I dont know, i think hitting some one in the back of the head when they are not looking is wrong in every occasion

  6. Just got a TM Recoil Scar-H! Need ask a question: Standard barrel length is 300mm...will adding a 6.03 tbb at 363mm affect volume and cause issues in the gearbox? Last thing I want to do is kill my new Marui!

      CES_williamson

no point a standard marui is good, if you open it up and start messing it can make it worse. Oh and be careful with the stock they are weak on the scar's its the connector from the stock to the main body.

Already have great hop up and hop rubber so yeah...don't bother. Performance is very good stock.

As long as the volume of the barrel doesn't exceed the volume of the cylinder then you'll be fine. 363 is a pretty standard/average inner barrel length and i doubt the cylinder in this TM will be small enough that it's 300 is close enough to capacity for a 20% increase to cross this line.

the TM inner barrels are very good, and the only real effect you'll get is a slight increase in fps

in summary should be fine mate. just be careful when swapping it, wat...

  7. Hey guys. looking for sightscope...i'm after one that has reticle like that of the elcan spectre. dont want to shell out that much though. the sight will be going on scar-h

  8. Hiya mate, I own to 5-7's, both Marui. I have used Abbey Ultra in both and had no issue. I have also used WE green gas however it doesn't respond as well to it asit doesn't feed into the mags that well. In the cold, they have struggled. I have tried the Nurpol red (3.0) and that dried out the o rings inside...but it does work in the cold. As a plastic slided weapon, it is advised to use red or some lower green gases due to the lower strength in the pastic...however I know a guy from Anzio that has ran propane in his plastic framed TM G17 for 2 years with no issue! My personal preference is Abbey Ultra - struggles in the cold atm but in the Summer it is very crisp and powerful blowback. Hope this helps
  9. FFS JD airsoft.....chrono'd my scar at 365 fps after stating I needed the fps under 340 max....

maybe their own chrono is f*cked

or they are just not listening to customers requirements

(deaf as well as daft then)

  10. Might sound like a daft question; does anyone have any issues sourcing o-rings for moscarts? Bought a 419 set and not one fits the internal valvue inside! I have 3 'Big Dragon' shells and 4 SHS/AGM shells...cannot find anything that will fit inside!!!

  11. Putting in a tightbore barrel will help if you want accuracy and groupings. It may also increase fps slightly. What exactly are you trying to acheive? It sounds like you already have a good setup!
  12. Ran the honey badger at Anzio yesterday and Squad assault today...have to say I'm impressed. Snappy trigger, decent range and grouping. Will be adding some gameplay links to the review channel once I get time to finish the videos.

  13. Using my Birthday as an excuse to get a Marui G26....anyone had any experience with these? Know if they're any good?

  14. Where did you get extended 5-7 mags?!?!
  15. Does it make me an airsoft failure because I dropped my gun off at a techies today? Couldn't figure it out myself :( Haha

you had a go so kudos for that

but wise enough to think let somebody else sort it. It will soon be running sweeter than "out of box" so nothing to fear there - besides I still ain't got a f**king clue what I'm doing

      Airsoft failure ???

Naaaahhh you should see just how bad I suck at this shooting malarky

  16. Unfortunately, I have thrown the towel in Whilst trying to further diagnose, the connectors to the stock have gone and another wire has split. It has been dropped off for a techie to fix at JD Airsoft. Feel like an idiot cus I couldn't fix my own gun
  17. You may have found the issue!!! On full auto, the air nozzle does come back! So cut off lever is my issue then?
  18. Thanks for the replies guys. I've tried moving the tappet plate in the gearbox it moves fine with both the spring installed and absent. I have put back together and cleaned it and tried it again. It is still having issues. What I have noticed is that the air nozzle is staying back after pulling the trigger the first time. It is stuck back; there is no play and you cant push it backwards with a finger, nor can you pull it forward. I have shone a torch in the geabox without disturbing it and can see that the tappet plate is in fact not beinding; it is in its rails and in line perfectly. This leads me to believe that the tappet plate is being blocked so that it won't return? When I fire it, the nozzle stays back. Then, when the trigger is pulled again, the nozzle shoots forward and then returns back.
  19. Right; done some work since the last post. Having recharged the battery completely and tried one or two other batteries, I have concluded that the issue was the battery connectors in the stock. However, having had it firing again, I have encountered another(!) problem. The issue now is that the tappet plate is bending upwards when the gun is fired. This is stopping the air nozzle from shooting back forward. I have tried it with a delayer chip installed and without. Both give the same results. Does anyone know a remedy to this?
  20. Tried that but they are both the same....getting really confused here as to what the problem is?!
  21. Right, I've tried the 16:1 and I'm having the same issue... The piston is staying at the rear of the gearbox. It is being held there by the last few teeth of the gear. Never had this issue before. I've also tried it with the original gears but the same is happening! Only thing different is the piston. The cylinder head is the stock head. What is the best way to remedy this? I've read a few threads online that say its poor motors...surely its not this as its got a brand new lonex a2 in there!
  22. Rather than starting a new topic, I'm bumping this one. I'm going to turn this thread into my SCAR project. I've stumbled on another issue now and the whole revamp of the scar is just annoying me. I tried to add a new piston to the scar when the stock piston stripped due to premature engagement but when I pulled the trigger it only cycled partly. When opening the gearbox, I found that the piston had been pulled back but not released....the spring was still compressed back and the piston was stuck on the last tooth of the gear (13:1 gear set). I have since tried a 16:1 gear set in the gearbox but of course, as I tried to test it, the wires to the motor snapped and now I have to sort that out...fuming! In theory, should the gearbox be able to cycle with the 16:1 set in? I probably should mention that I have also taken the bearing off the spring guide to help allow the cycle.

Once you check it take a picture just incase you ever want to sell it because you can only do it once. Just to prove that it is real.

Buttons are also flatter / recessed...can't think of the word but basically don't stick out as much (on the genuine one)

Thanks ft links Qlimax, I'll probably end up getting it from Cool Components.
