  1. Hi mate; Stokie here. I play at Anzio Camp in Leek; great site, classed as fibua (fighting in built up areas) and includes both cqb and open areas. Awesome place. A new cqb site has opened in Burslem recently too; will be heading there soon to try it out. UKARA pretty much only applies to the purchasing of a weapon. So if you sell or buy a rif (realistic imitation firearm), then UKARA will apply to comply with the V.C.R.A (Violent Crime Reduction Act). It doesn't apply to owning, using or borrowing a weapon. 350 FPS are then general limits on most UK sites for full auto weapons, snipers tend to be around 500 fps and dmr's are usually between 400 and 450. Hope it helped and hope to see you around on the field
  2. FN 5-7's are great pistols to run. I've got 2 marui 5-7's and they are the best pistols I've owned. They hit awesome ranges for pistols and they look pretty smexy! Will also vouch for p90's. I used to run one as my backup before I got into cqb and it was incredible for corners and tight spaces....and they look cooooooooool!
  3. Anyone going to Anzio on Saturday? Scoutthedoggie is going to be there!

I agree with the captain on this one, when his videos are 10mins+ they need some kind of commentary or anything thats more entertaining than watching a camera being pointed in someones face

We all know Ed is the best airsoft-video-man - his dulcet Northern tones make him sound like a white Barry White.

I do like scouts cqb videos but not the forest ones

  4. +1 for Scar-CQC I run a vfc scar-l cqc with an EGLM for cqb and it's great! Took a few games to get used to the weight of the launcher but it's awesome!
  5. Haha I can only imagine! I've ordered some abbey oil in a dropper as well as a moscart repair kit.....as well as 3 new moscarts! Can't you tell it was payday!
  6. Fair enough! I'm using madbull and some ACM ones (fairly new ones). I'll probably just get some new o-ring sets then. Thanks
  7. A friend of mine bought the TM MP7 as his first gbbr. Used it about 5 times as his pirmary and he's in love with it. No issues as of yet, easy to maintain, crisp recoil and noise and is and all around performer. In fact....it's seeing his in action that makes me want a gbbr next...
  8. Hi guys; Quick question, what type of silicon oil or other lubricant would you recommend for hydrating the o-rings in moscart shells? I've used some abbey silicon oil spray but it isn't that good. Thanks
  9. Anyone interested in some tan m4 armallite style mags?. Got 9, maybe ten I'll be putting up for sale soon - £25 posted?

  12. It's about 1 hr and 15 mins to Leek from where you are, according to google, which is where Anzio camp is. Highly recommended! Fibua enviroment, so it's built up areas, indoor cqb parts and some open fields too.
  13. Serpa/blackhawk/retention holsters on the chest are definitely the way forward! Easy to use, very ergonomic and look cool
  14. I'm genuinely interested in this! I have the spring A&K SVD and I was looking at possibly making a semi auto version. I'd be limited to 400 fps though.
  15. Sorry, I forgot to mention that the DMR wouldn't be going to cqb sites. It may travel with me to anzio camp which is fibua and allows dmrs (400fps or lower). I've already got cqb loadouts sorted Got a scar-l cqc as one and a ump as the other. Was working on a kac pdw but it's now for sale as I don't have the time to finish it. Thanks for the quick replies btw
  16. Are nicknames/quotes engraved onto guns tacky and daft? I sort of like the idea of but can't decide!

  17. Hi guys, I currently own the spring A&K SVD. I've had it for 2 years by xmas and I've loved it! It has been the first gun that I have disassembled, upgraded, cherished. I have, however, grown a bit bored of the actual sniper role. I have scored some incredibly satisfying kills and I absolutely adore my SVD, but I prefer things a bit closer up. I tend to play fibua and cqb more now, so I rarely use the SVD. The other thing is that now that I am a little more experienced as a player, I am looking into authenticity a little more. I don't have particular loadout inspirations etc and it's not anything strict but with the real steel Dragunov being a semi auto dmr, pulling the charging handle every time to take a shot (which is very stiff and causes bruising on my shoulder!) sometimes makes it feel a little strange. I was going to sell up my SVD, and use the money to put towards the semi-only DMR version; mostly due to liking the SVD as a gun in general and I have some of the upgrades already in my current SVD. Now; to the point. I was wondering; what is the difference in play style like? I've never played DMR, only sniper and rifleman. I was wondering if the style of play is a drastic change or if it's the same thing? I'm essentially trying to decide whether or not to give up sniping and focus in cqb/fibua loadouts. Also, does anyone know of the A&K SVD gearbox would drop into the spring version? This would save me a bit of cash and time! Thanks for reading, Andy TL:DR Should I get the semi auto SVD instead of my spring one and will I enjoy DMR'ing over sniping?
  18. Predicament: Do I get another 5-7 and run an 'akimbo' loadout.....or get an mp9 gbb or a kac pdw gbb for a fibua loadout...decisions.....

  19. Has anyone used/know about Laylax/Prommy Delta strike barrels? Considering one for my scar...

  20. Righto; just asked as tightbores can increase fps....in some cases significantly although in the SVD it shouldn't be too much. Mine increased by 25 fps with the madbull barrel and by 10 with the A&k tightbore. I had a UMP increase from 320 to 380 because of a tightbore installation!
  21. It looks like it...could just be a re-brand. Glad you are happy with the performance! Out of curiosity, have you chrono'd since the upgrades? Andy
  22. What RR01 said! I put a 650mm madbull 6.03 in mine as well as the advanced hop unit and it went from being a good sniper rifle to an incredibly pin-point accurate rifle that out shot everything else that it came against. Unfortunately, my inner barrel broke as one of the grub screws was tightened too far and it ruined the barrel so now I'm running a 6.03 A&K 650mm barrel. It's good...but it's not the same as the madbull! If you're thinking of upgrades, have a look at the SVD section on airsoftpro...some of the things they sell are exclusive and really do make a difference

    Moscart issue

Hi all, I've got an issue with one of my moscart shells (ACM 120 rounder) When I try to put the gas into the valve, it makes a lovely 'farting noise' and nothing goes in. It is a self, resetting shell so I shouldn't have to reset it. I''ve checked the bearings and the o-rings, all are present and pristine (the shell itself has been fired only twice). Can't find a the solution, anybody else had this issue? Thanks, Andy
  24. KAC PDW's are really nice little guns, but the only aeg's are dboys (£150ish if you shop around but they don't have the best reputation) and VFC (Awesome reputation but £350+ price tag). They are compact, lightweight, take stanag mags, look awesome and can be upgraded easily. I personally own the dboys one which I am currently working on. Not used it yet but it feels awesome and I may use it as a secondary to my own Dragunov sometime.
