  1. Wore it for 14 hours a day with a 16kg load all last weekend, back felt fine on Monday and I hardly felt the weight while it was on. Worth every penny!
  2. SM50 lube is for direct application to the working parts of the gun, don't try and mix it in with your gas! If you want to 'lube' your propane (I don't bother) then the adapter should come with a little bottle of super lightweight silicone oil that you put a couple of drops of in the propane nozzle.
  3. Courier can't help with border force. As long as it's got your UKARA details on the box in big letters it should sail through... otherwise you'll have a nice letter waiting for you when you get home.
  4. don't use that lube, you want something really light for airsoft guns, abbey gunlube SM50 or froglube CLP are my recommendations... less is more! As for gas, with a bolt the size of the one in the VFC 417 you're gonna need something with a bit of grunt, abbey predator won't cut it, try propane or nuprol 2.0 / 3.0.
  5. cold and first shot won't have made any difference, more likely to be the hop.
  6. Daytime setup for Stirling's OP Grandstand this weekend (night time I'll be reverting to the M4, cold is bad for gas and I don't have the best laser on the MP7). Crye CPC (medium/medium) ** Toysoldier crye-style SR25 mag pouch - holds timed BFG First Spear speed reload double pistol High Ground Gear double adjustable 40mm - holds 2x impact BFG Mayflower R&C quad MP7 shingle Blue force gear small utility on the right kidney Crye zip-on molle backpanel - contains source bladder ** TRI AN/PRC152 radio ** Emerson AN/PRC152 dummy - want to replace with PRC148 ASAP 2x Nexus U94 PTT - one for the TRI 152, one to a little PMR446 radio hidden away in the right side plate pocket Buck folding knife - cheap, but it only gets used for snipping paracord and filling a pouch S&S precision shiv - because shoe dagger Dummy CAT, med shears, glow sticks etc for flavour.
  7. with 125 bangs and a bright torch he might not! especially if he can squeeze a couple more out of the speedloader when chronoing... might end up with 15 BBs!
  8. You didn't have to, you chose to. My stock TM glock has been running on propane since the day I got it. Stripped it down to component parts this morning and the only part with any wear is the magazine valve striker, which would wear exactly the same if I were filling the magazines with harsh language!
  9. The difference is when that Mk7 has a little arrow stamped on it somewhere... I expect about 99% of the Mk7s in public circulation are knocked off MoD property, same for osprey plates.
  10. Pistol pouch would be lower profile I expect.
  11. Yeah, that's a different type of magazine, PTS used to have the license to produce proper PMAGs for airsoft but magpul pulled all licensing after a few dodgy chinese clones ended up on real guns. Revoking all the licenses as a simple solution to the problem for them, anything magpul shaped or branded being imported to the USA is an unlicensed clone and should be destroyed by customs. The EPM was developed by PTS after the magpul license was revoked as an option that was close, but not identical.
  12. for the smaller ones, I'd say a pistol magazine pouch with velcro on the back would be ideal, if you want to just get something off the shelf that'll fit, the OSOE NSW helmet ballast (or a copy of it, since the real one is quite pricey) will fit perfectly on one side, you can put an MS2000 strobe on the other side.
  13. that one will hold a paperback book if you need it to, they're HUGE
  14. " use only with a certain power and certain level of emission; " That bit is kinda pivotal here! PMR446 is technically limited to 0.5W of output power, I can't think of any way you could be caught using a 5W radio though unless someone from OFCOM actually took the radio off you and tested it.
  15. ahh fair enough, in that case velcro is your friend!
  16. as Col. Kurtz said, pretty sure you can't charge the GoPro while the clear case is on. That bigger charger with a 9000mAh battery in it is probably huge, I reckon with that on the back of your head you'd end up with neck ache The smaller ones though, they'll definitely fit in a normal counterweight pouch, although maybe not in the one you linked as it'll curve to conform to the helmet. Best bet for suitability would be to find a pouch of a suitable size, cut the molle straps off the back and put some hook velcro on there. Or get down to halfords and buy some industrial stick on velcro and just put it directly onto the battery packs.
  17. I think people whining about HPA guns hurting more or whatever are either being fannies (highly likely) or they're buyin into what they've been told which is that HPA guns hurt more and so their brains are telling them it hurt more. Once a BB leaves the barrel it doesn't make a jot of difference what propelled it, if it's got 1j of energy at the muzzle it could be fired by a rail gun and it'll still hurt the same amount as one from an AEG. The only reason HPA is becoming more popular is consistency, when you can guarantee that ALL of your shots will be within a 2fps margin you can get great 'accuracy' (I've said before there's no such thing as an accurate airsoft gun, only consistent ones) from your gun. Joule creep notwithstanding, there's no difference in the ballistics of a BB from an HPA gun to that of an AEG. NONE.
  18. At least USE it before you start having someone take it to bits! You might (and probably will) find that even with 300fps the range and accuracy on the gun are better than most others at your site anyway. Airsoft 'upgrades' in my experience very rarely are, nowhere is this truer than with a real sword gun where the parts quality is already very, very good.
  19. Try and break it, bet you can't without resorting to scissors!
