No flare and low enough to be below the optic. Only issue is backsplash from the 1200lm!

There is a lens holder on it and I have red, blue and green filters to cut down the glare (and protect the lens of the light!)

I just need some dark CQB games to see which works best for dazzling the target and IDing them quickly

Couldn't resist!  Some fantastic reviews.  Should have thought about extra mags though, not many people seem to keep/have!?

i would take any advice from someone who's trying to sell you something with a big heap of salt.

at least here the advice your getting is impartial, we recieve no benefit from you choosing a tm, WE or an SSP

of course tm guns aren't perfect, nothing is, i have no doubt that there are first shot failures from time to time it's just the nature of manufacturing.

however they have a reputation for a reason, my hicapa is the oldest gun i own by far and it still shoots just fine despite years of abuse running high pressure gas and heavy bb's.

that said, these days i primarily run a WE makarov as a sidearm, and i love it to bits. sure the hi-capa is the objectively better gun but i preferr the makarov. liking something is as valid a reason to own it as any.

no Plastic is not weak.  TM guns are designed to work with plastic slides they don't need high powered gas. people break plastic guns because they run them on gas that is significantly more powerful than design specs. This goes to show how good the the TM designs are as they can run for a significant time on over pressured gas. I  have a friend that loves 5-7s hes on his 8th in 10 years because he runs them on propylene and none of them have broke the slide they just prematurely wore out the internals.  Now the The metal used in airsoft pistols is cheap pot metal it's overly heavy and not that strong which means more gas is need to cycle the gun and is more like to have flaws in the metal which will cause the slide to break.

😂 reading that in his voice.  Been stuck on camp basically.  Legally I've always been allowed to travel between home and the block but my dad's very old and been super ill (to put it lightly) until not too long ago so I sat in the block losing my mind gradually until the numbers of cases dropped right back down.

Yeah I got sick of having a giant stack of specific kydex holsters and never having the right gun/light/colour combo I wanted.  They were all very nice and gucci but at the time I bought them there weren't any companies who built kydex around the specific models of airsoft guns (especially Glocks) so fitment often wasn't *quite* right.  Having a generic CB coloured one for no-light mounting that works with pretty much all outdoor loadouts and a grey lighted one for anything indoors takes up a ton less space.  I've not liked BH as a company for many years, went off SERPAs long ago, but I think they've turned things around a little.  My expectations quality wise were very low but they're fairly solid as it turns out.  Wouldn't take one to war because the mech looks like it'll jam with sand/mud/stones same as SERPAs do but for bb wars where it's fun to own a range of different models (and financially viable to do so) they sure fit the bill, even better than the offerings from SureFire and S&S actually.

Brit tac events run some that are a little more relaxed. They usually manage 2 events at copehill down a year.
Well run, you get the odd Geardo but it's a great weekend.

Also theres some half decent hotels nearby if you fancy milsimming as the raf.

I've done a few & to be fair, I've seen just as many geardos on walk-on days as I have on 48hr milsims, & at least on a milsim your justified in carrying a bit more kit that would be classed as essential, whereas even on a daytime walk-on there'll be plums with taclites etc fitted on their rifles & every inch of molle filled with unnecessary kit.
Same goes for the mindset, again just as many walk-on days feature players that behave like they're "operators", & spit their dummies out when a rental in a hoodie takes them out lol.
It's prob unfair to critique an organiser for running a milsim in a serious fashion, after all isn't that what people are paying for ?.
As @Spatch has pointed out, before you book check out the firm behind it, research previous games etc, so you know what your potentially letting yourself in for.
& Research kit lists, turn up for a Weekender in with one spare t-shirt & no snivel kit & you might be in for a miserable time.

It depends massively on the company that organises the event, I have done many and can say that yes, there are some great events, enjoyable for all and there are also companies and players who take it far too seriously, believe they are things and doing things that are not, spend ridiculous amounts of money on gear and kit and yes, will make people feel inferior in the process, research the organiser and their previous events before booking on because there is still some serious milsim snobs out there and don’t expect 48 hours of gun battles, I’ve spent many an hour sitting in a hole doing sod all
I have however had some amazing weekends and made some great friends over the years

General preference seems to be for .209's as they are still highly effective while being far more cost effective. In addition to this the overwhelming majority of sites are perfectly happy with .209's but usage of 9mm can be very hit in miss in terms of sites allowing them and even fewer sites allow mag flash's. Mag flash's appear to be rarely seen outside of dedicated events such as milsim events.

A lot of this is down to health and safety restrictions and insurance restrictions.

While these grenades aren't banned it simply falls down to demand which is invariably effected by any limitations in place. Dynatex are by far the easiest to obtain and they have the ability to use all the blanks previously mentioned, when used with the appropriate adapter. There is also the Alpha Tec Hex but I'm not sure what size blanks this uses. As far as I know the TRMR is no longer in production.

I’ve had a bunch of adverts pop up on Facebook recently for scopes and stuff. Obviously Chinese knockoffs and the adverts show real steel stuff, but I’ve decided to take a punt on the below Acog I’ve just seen advertised. More out of curiosity than anything else.

Spinning off from threads with the UKPSF update on reopening sites under COVID ....

What representation is there for Airsoft?

The ABA, UKARA & UKASGB worked on the campaign regarding the VCR Bill and established the skirmisher defence.
Another that I'm aware of is the UKAPU

Who else is out there?  What do they do for you and airsoft?
Is there an overriding representation for airsoft, or a number of interest groups?

And 2nd parcel arrive now. Because what's better than having 1 sidearm? Having 2! The 1911 works in winter, but due to its tiny gas reservoir it can struggle. This should have no such issues. Also, the real steel version is nice. Love the working de-cocking lever >:D
