Two more for the collection. both made by jg and super cheap. Unfortunately this seems to be the only fal style rifle still available apart from the ares slr and ive heard horror stories about that one. Need to remove the stickers still and up the fps on the g3 but Im still super happy with both. Mag pouch recommendations are needed however XD.

I think this version has been discontinued too but I found a few still in stock at gunfire.pl here : https://gunfire.com/en/products/jg3000-carbine-replica-1152199199.html Its reduced to clear and they only have a couple left. Mags are also very hard to find though you can still get classic army ones on ebay for stupid prices. 
 
no worries about the bandolier. Its not like I can go out anywhere to use it XD. 

This is the second I have owned. the first was an sg1 with the big mp5 style handguard. That one creaked a bunch and didnt feel great. This one the foregrip is the same thickness of plastic but much slimmer. makes it really nice and solid for a mostly plastic gun. Body is pretty good, fire selector is very nice and clicky. The grip isnt great but thats probably just me. overall feels pretty good for the price and looks the part. I would not recommend hk slapping it though. thats gonna break the charging handle pretty quick. Also its currently £90 on taiwan gun

Its a bit rough but its its a first attempt and it works just fine. also my first 100% sucessful attempt at a molle mountable leather holster. 

 

A small selection of some  of the stuff I make. I also do metal work but breastplates and chainmaille arent really relevant here though I do intend to make some aluminium sci fi body armour at some point.

after a lot of trimming the gearbox is sitting ok. going to use epoxy putty to  seat it properly. cross bolt safety is a lost cause as the top of the mag goes straight through it. going to cut it in half and just glue the buttons in to fill the holes so it looks right. 

So this looks like a pretty damn good fit. next up is making it select fire and either making room for the safety and possibly making it functional. not sure yet. think its gonna need a new mag release too. also going to rewire it to have a battery compartment in the stock.

cx4 has more in common than the m9 than the px4 really. Uses m9 mags. 

Unscrews from the other side and comes apart in two pieces. Classic cheap springer or nerf gun style

So I picked up two very old springers for a couple of pounds and the bodies actually seem quite solid. I think im gonna try and do something with an aep gearbox unless anyone else has any ideas.
