As I said, I will be willing to split or take a good offer, just not offering 300gbp for the whole package something like that. And we’ll I’m just testing the market price really, am in no hurry to sell. I know sig Romeo’s are a good sight, I also love my holosuns, but the Aimpoint is a rare find nowadays and only seeing if someone that genuinely wants the old school vibes as a collection piece and that is 100% skirmish-able. True I agree 1800 is over the top and I am thinking of lowering it or splitting, thanks for the advice chaps

I have got to the bottom of what’s occurring and thought I would share so anyone having the same issue might have a chance of setting it right.

So the hop assembly is perfect. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. The bucking itself is in perfect condition with zero wear and everything else is exactly how it should be.

the anomaly I found was on the nozzle guide.
I noticed some abnormal wear along the edge where the hop dial goes over when the BCG is in its forward position. It looks like the nozzle guide plastic is ever so slightly warped towards the front end. There is a slight increment/curve upwards in the plastic which from what I can gather is causing it to catch on the hop dial (there was a slight knick out the dial in the spot I would have my hop set and wear/burs along the edge of the guide). As the dial is click forward to turn off it stands to reason that with every shot fired, as the carrier is returning to its forward position it is catching on the dial and turning it off with a few clicks every shot you take. This all rings true to the symptoms so I believe I have my culprit.

the nozzle guide is very malleable so I have bent it a little, flattening out the curve and I have also shaved a mm of the plastic away along the edge in question incase it rides back up again. Inevitably I will order the AG Nozzle Guide as it’s made of a harder plastic and less likely for this to happen again but in the mean time the temp fix seems to be working as intended.

I hope this information helps people experiencing the same issue now or in the future. From looking around it doesn’t appear to be a common issue so it’s nice to have an actual cause and solution.

RobHedley got a reaction from Rogerborg in I have been playing......
It all started when I decided to turn an outbuilding into an indoor range for Airsoft. It was originally going to be some knock down targets and some paper targets with some form of BB catcher. This quickly turned into 'It would be good to have a system where I can have targets appear'. So I pulled out my Raspberry Pi that I had originally bought years ago to develop an LCD Dash for my Race Simulator. I ended up being gifted a working one from a company that made them so it was put back in its box and into a cupboard. After a bit of research, as I have never developed anything on the Pi, I ordered some vibration sensors from Amazon and grabbed some micro servos from the workshop.

Now the idea I had was a small hit plate held on a base that would when 'off' would sit side on to the shooter. When 'on' it would rotate 90 degrees. The vibration sensor would then register any hits whilst it was rotated and score them. I fired up Fusion 360 and started designing the hit plate and base that would house the Servo. Onto the 3d Printer and many hours later I had both of the main components (I still need to design and print the arm the servo will connect to but I will do that when I have the hit plate mounted so I can work out the perfect position).

I then fired up the Raspberry Pi and started coding (after a bit of youTube research!). Below is a video of the initial tests. To explain the parts you can see in the video, the big white plate is the hit plate and you are looking at the back of it. The small circuit with the 2 green LEDs is the vibration sensor. The big black block is the base where you can see the servo mounted within it. You can also see the Raspberry Pi with the signal wires plugged in. The white breadboard is being used to supply 5v to the servo and 3.3v to the sensor.

After I run the code, which is a very early test, the User Interface is displayed (which will eventually show the mode selection, the timer, the results etc etc). Click go, it counts down from 3 and then moves the servo 90 degrees. Once this is connected to the hit plate once it is mounted, this will rotate the plate to face the shooter. I then tap the hit plate to simulate a BB hitting the plate, the vibration sensor recognises this a fires off the correct function in the code. Once the plate it it, you see the servo do a little wiggle (signifying a hit) and then returns to its original position which would turn the hit plate side on to the shooter.

This initial test is for a speed mode where all the targets (I am thinking 6) turn to face the shooter at the same time, the shooter has to hit each one as quickly as possible and is timed until the last one turns back.

Any other ideas that I can add to this? Any idea on other modes I can code in to this? Once this is done I will share all the code and stl files if someone else wants to make it as well. let me know what you think gents.

Jeez relax SBoardley. You might break your keyboard mate. I wasn’t having a go at you. We’re all just here chatting about toy guns.

First of all, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a “fan boy”. I don’t know why folks get a hard on by using that phrase as an insult.
    I love TM. And what.

Secondly. I bought it with my own money. Even if I was gifted an item, I thoroughly test said products and reveal all and any issues surrounding that particular unit. If you happened to have caught any of my videos where I was given free items you’d know that. Reviewers aren’t all alike you know.

Thirdly. One of my AK mags struggled to take on enough gas to produce results which I was expecting.
My other mags seem to have a better appetite and produce the performance I was looking for. This is a prime opportunity to test out varying levels of the Green Gas Mod to get the best out of that troubled magazine.

Also remember that’s not a review. Overview containing my opening impressions on it. I’m still building experience with their latest AKM, and I’ll be making the review once I’ve grasped a good understanding of it. It’s a constantly evolving process that never ends.
Reason why I’ve revisited the M4 MWS a few times over the years with its progress.

Well after a long sabbatical from the sport I am now back and I finally got round to finishing of the Taran Tactical TR1 John Wick. It uses the Angry Gun TTI TR1 John Wick kit. Before a few of you tell me about the evil of Angry Gun parts, all the internals are all MWS apart from a tan bucking and a longer 6.05 inner barrel. Also I didn't pay the absurdly expensive price of £900 or whatever it was. I got it off a former member on here that bought it just to get an upper he had broken. I got eh whole thing including a near full MWS for a bargain price.

Regarding the quality of the kit, I did have to do a little bit of light engineering to get the trigger mechanism to fit in the lower but everything else in the kit fitted quite nicely. I also fitted a new BCG with a built in NPAS ( I can't remember the name as I bought it over 2 years ago and never fitted it.

I gave it a test fire and with the NPAS wound all the way in (max power) this thing is bloody powerful. I will run it through the Chrono tomorrow to see what it is coming out as then adjust accordingly.

The second photo also shows my original Block 1 MWS for size comparison which is totally standard and totally bullet proof!

I have finally joined the club when I picked up my MWS yesterday!!!

I went for the CQBR version and I am blown away by it!! I gassed up a magazine when I got home and wow. Absolutely love it!!

i picked up some more magazines and I received 2 super nubs from Six Gunsmith (Thanks for the 1 day turnaround Dave!). Just waiting for the Modify Tan buckings to turn up. I have yet to do the green gas mod but my other half is out tonight getting her lips done (!!) so will tackle it then.

just wanted to thank everyone for the amazing information and help and I am pleased to be a member of Club MWS 😁

All fitted and looking low profile. Took no time at all but make sure you have some very small punches to pop the pins bout of the foresight.

I co-witnessed the holosight before removing the front and rear iron sights so it should be pretty close to sighted. Off the the UCAP Bunker in Portsmouth tonight so it will be the first skirmish with the MWS!! Exciting!

**Op, the following advice is simply that and has no basis in LAW or any form of actually legality but is based on over 20 years of Airsoft experience**

Do what you want with your guns. Spray them, stick bits on, take bits off, call them Suzanne.

Do not sell them to kids.
Do not take them out in public and keep them out of the sight of the general public while traveling.
Do not do it in front of a cop or film yourself doing it and then publish it online.
Do not do anything with them that would be classed as "twattish"

    Avoid doing that.

Keep your guns safe at home. Use them either on private land away from public eyes or at a skirmish site.

Follow these simple rules and no one in the world is going to give a single *expletive* about you and your RIFs.

    And she is complete!

My MWS Taran Tactical TR1 / John Wick DMR Build.  Not an exact copy as the real steel stuff as supplied on the original TR-1 is sooooo expensive. The scope mount itself is about £300 (from memory) so
I have found the closest I can. Internally it has a Prometheus 6.03 370mm inner barrel, Modify Tan Bucking and the essential SixG Nub (props to Dave).

A trip to Dave’s Custom Airsoft on the way home tonight where I picked up the scope as well as a Chrono so I will be testing the output tomorrow. My initial first shots were very impressive with .3 gram BB’s. Must have flown 60m straight without me touching the hop up.

    What do we think guys?

I once got stopped by the Police as the complete left hand side rear lights on my Land Rover had just stopped working. When they came to the window I explained what I had in the boot to quite a bemused Officer. He called his mate from the Patrol Car who luckily had heard of Airsoft and asked to see them. As I was moving a large part of my collection from my old house to my new one I had 5 Rifles and 3 Pistols in the back as well as full combat gear.

Upon opening the boot and pulling back the blanket (very gangster style!) the first officer took a step back but fortunately the the one that had heard of Airsoft just smiled. I did say I was going to step forwards and prove to them they were Airsoft and picked up one of the MWS GBBR. Which in hindsight wasn't the best idea as to the uninitiated they look and operate very similar to real steel. In my panic I field stripped it to get the bolt carrier group out to show them the air nozzle, hop up etc which must have looked like it was real steel!!! Luckily the second officer thought it was cool.

"So do they all fire?" said the second officer.
"Err yes....... but the Magazines are stored separately" I replied, shitting myself in case I was about to have an armed response team come down.
"Can we go some where and try them?" replied the Officer

So that was it. I spent the next hour with 2 Police Officers, next to a gate firing a number of Rifles and Pistols into some random field (is was empty). Even the grumpy Cop relaxed and fired quite a few rounds off. The even got a traffic cone out of their boot to use as a Target!! Totally bizarre!!

They thanked me for making a boring shift less so and then headed off. The 'Airsoft' aware Officer even said he was going to look into getting into Airsoft so if he is on this forum, say Hi.

When we got burgled and I lost a few RIFs the Surrey Police officer who came round the next day to have a chat about security and future prevention was a semi regular from EAG Dorking, obviously very cool about it and sympathetic to the kit i'd lost - Showed him the 11.1 high-speed(ish) kit with a strobe i'd put together for home defense and asked if it would be legal for those purposes (to absolutely hose down an intruder - and potentially cause bodily harm in defense), his reply was categorically 'yes', on your own property, some one breaking and entering, let um have it. I think he even mentioned that he might go home and setup something similar for the same purpose.
