This advert is COMPLETED!
- For sale
- As new
An almost new magnifier that was bought by accident (wrong colour). They're really solidly built and pretty good lenses too. Hold up fine on a GBBR. This unit has never even been mounted on a rif. Only had the box opened. Looking for around £25 including fees and shipping.£25

This advert is COMPLETED!
- For sale
- Used
For sale is a 45L daysack that can also be halved in size and the rocket pouches removed to make it lower profile. It has had light use but never been particularly heavily laden however one of the fastex clips did crack and I have replaced it with a 5.11 clip which is solid. A nice comfortable pack Also includes the rocket pouches and helmet cradle which are both removable and in good condition. Price is £75 including PayPal fees and shipping. If you have any questions just send me a message.£75

there is that too.... although that kinda comes with the territory of real wood stocks i think. actually for an Ares that is definitely a gamble at that price.

I live in hope.... i guess we'll have to wait and see. the sad bit is the mag is wrong on the L42A1 but thats a minor detail.

Chest rigs used by Royal commandos/SAS
Crazy_Crystal replied to David Mijo's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Chest rigs are a bit less common these days but still used occasionally for specific roles. I suspect that belt kit will always be king in the light infantry role for a while anyway. The Royal marines will be issued a C2R chest rig soon though (although this is probably British military "soon") Alternatively uksf use a few different variations including C2Rfast, mayflower and Platatac being seen. There will be others out there too I'm sure. (It's mostly private purchase stuff for the most part though.) -
my thoughts exactly... but you never know. it looks suspiciously conventional based upon what can be seen of the cylinder anyway. actually scratch that... it looks like the sear goes in the side ... 🙄

I saw this pop up on the Ares facebook page and since i have such as soft spot for the T variant I had to share it; Wood and metal... i just hope that the hop up is built a little better than the glued S&T No 3....

Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread
Crazy_Crystal replied to Mack's topic in General Discussion
There is a limit, but that's a maximum number of adverts listed in a week if I remember correctly. -

Tbf it would also remove a lot of the spam that needs to be manually filtered out and removed too. -

I definitely agree, a minimum 10 posts or a time period would be a nice addition and make life easier to filter through. -

That's a good spot... I'd never have even noticed that 😂 -

By the looks of it they make gelblasters... So I assume it's not Airsoft at all... -
Yeah, I'm in much the same position. And the talk of a target price actually gives me a hint of hope. Time will tell if the reps are right I guess.

On the topic of MoA I managed to get a few details from someone who is there and has been talking to the VFC reps. Current thinking is a release sometime around July (I have little faith in that bit unfortunately) the price has also been aimed at 19800 TWD which is around £530 plus tax at current exchange rates. Materials wise it sounds like it's mostly steel, including the bolt however, interestingly they've chosen not to apply the full trademarks to keep costs down. All in all it sounds fairly promising and definitely a rif that I'll be trying to get my hands on when they do come out 😏

Crazy_Crystal replied to Rogerborg's topic in Single Action Guns
Yeah, It definitely is not at all light tbf and also not at all small either but then It is based upon a .50 cal. Just another option really. sadly i like niche and awkward guns it turns out 😂 -

I've heard that the Silverback HTI has a really nice bolt pull due to the stupidly large cylinder volume. It's certainly one of those rifles that i'd really like to own one day and it seems to perform pretty well by all accounts. -
I know they mentioned Q3 last year. so I suspect they found another issue or something came up in production. At least it proves that they haven't given up on it. I'm still really hoping it arrives soon though. would be even nicer to have one in wood or even better an L1A1, but I'd take any FAL/SLR at this point...

And in other news the UK Defence Journal have been very busy...

Since it's April fools Day, I thought I'd make a thread so we can share whatever silliness happens. Our first submission is from AirTac, I mean *geltac* (No affiliation here) "Introducing GELTAC. At Airtac, our finger is firmly on the pulse of modern combat simulation games. Its no secret that Airsoft as a *sport* is dying, and we truly believe the growing move towards gel ball is something we must all embrace. We've decided to scrap our BFG, Hi-Capa split mag, and all other HPA related projects going forward, in order to focus on creating innovative and synergic gel ball products. I would encourage all Airsoft sites to allow gel-blasters at regular events, as part of a transition to gel-only gameplay. I look forward to what the future holds. Stay Jelly, James "

The 'What have you just bought' Thread
Crazy_Crystal replied to Cameron364's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Finally got myself some AOR2. A US surplus field shirt and more interestingly a beyond clothing set of prototype trousers that were made for NSWDG at some point, really nice bits of kit that go for very low prices for some reason. 😎 -

I can confirm now that it's definitely TM timing now....so probably some time this decade if we're lucky? I was also hoping for a quick release, but i'm guessing that they have been selling out of stuff quicker than they forecast and they have a few development tweaks they're having to make with the G19/G17 which will be tying up resources too. plus materials shortages is definitely not helping anything either. -
Tbh I'm of the opinion that unless they're shot before the pyro is struck then it's much the same as two people shooting each other at the same time... I.e both people should probably take their hit. We are talking about a window of around a second between striking the pyro and throwing it which isn't actually that long to make a decision. Obviously it's down to site rules and if you can make it safe again then you probably should as well, if only for the sake of sportsmanship. At the end of the day you do need to get rid of the explody thing or it's gonna hurt.

Definitely this... it really does make such a difference and are a relatively cheap thing that makes your life more comfortable. even decent quality merino wool socks can be had very affordably from places like mountain warehouse etc. As far as boots go i love my salomon's but mine are nearly a decade old and the newer stuff sounds like its not made quite as well. whatever you do it's 100% worth getting to a shop and trying some one...it's the two things in airsoft not worth saving money on (The other of course is eyepro)
