  1. it was a gunman filmsim, and I got through about half my rounds over two 3 hour games. clearly I am just more stingy than I thought ? but I only use semi auto and maybe I was being a bit sneaky. I probably will use more when I go to the next normal skirmish, but I'll have to get back to you on that. let us know how you get on, I'm sure that you'll be able to out shoot most people on the field.
  2. yep, I just had to drop the power ever so slightly using the NPAS valve. I should probably add that my sites limits are 1.14 J too so it's currently set to about 1.1J with 0.36 to be on the safe side. it's stock apart from NPAS a modify tan bucking and one of daves brass nubs. the previous owner had already installed these but it doesn't look like he ever actually skirmished the rifle so otherwise it was pretty much new. @sonofsammo that is starting to sound like a bit of a beast. you'll have to let us know how you get on... but I mean 350 rounds!!!!! I only normally carry 280 on me and that lasted me for a day ?
  3. I had my first game with mine last Saturday and needless to say they perform incredibly well. If you can get on with the real cap mags I doubt that you will be disappointed. the range and accuracy with 0.36g BB's was impressive despite some very heavy wind ?
  4. hi @Daanios welcome to the forum, and the mws is a great choice in either the CQBR or m4a1 form, it's just whatever look you prefer. most of us are based in the UK, and it should be noted that the maximum muzzle energy for any full auto or burst fire Airsoft guns is 1.3 joules regardless of BB weight. personally I think that the easiest way to adjust the energy is with an NPAS which is fitted in the nozzle. this is easily adjusted at crono on the day which is helpful. although multiple upper receivers or bolts is another option, but I am not so familiar with the aftermarket bolts. I'm sure that someone else can fill in the details on that front.
  5. cheers, that's very true, I probably should have mentioned that I have npas fitted along with a brass nub, and I will be adjusting against joule creep too (the site I play at only measure in joules not FPS)
  6. so I have my first skirmish with the mws coming this Saturday which I'm looking forward to. however I need to get some new ammo before then, normally I would just get some 0.32 geoffs super precision but I can only find 0.3 or 0.36 in the UK at the moment. so the question is what weight of BB do you use for a 1.1J build? cheers
  7. @camden I follow the reptile house, and yet I completely missed that. I am definitely looking forward to that. I have just bought my first mws, having had an aeg in L119a2 form. I am currently transfering some of the parts over and I'll take some photos once my order from Brownells comes in ? I seriously love the short A2 form, it is as close to perfect for cqb that a 10 inch rifle can get, but that's just my opinion. I might be a bit of a fan ? but I am definitely looking forward to seeing how that iur will turn out. ?
  8. so I've finally bought my first GBBR and joined the TM can club all in one shot... it's a TM mws CQBR ? it also turns out that recoil on a rifle is quite entertaining, who knew ?
  9. that was exactly the thought that just went through my head... dodgey is an understatement... it pretty much reeks actually you're right. I didn't spot that, I still don't understand why they have done that though...
  10. first order from flecktarn.co.uk arrived yesterday. never used them before but Comms were ok, and it all arrived on time. I ordered a viper rigging belt, an osprey MK4 smoke grenade pouch and a bulle drop leg dump pouch. and I have to say the dump pouch is surprisingly good quality for the price, better than viper or condor almost on a par with WAS but not quite.
  11. that's a good shout on getting elasticated mag pouches. viper do some extended pistol mag pouches in the hsgi style. alternatively TMC make some SMG pouches which you can get from somewhere like weapon762. if you have the budget for real steel then blue force gear ten speed mp7 pouches are worth looking at along with hsgi if you prefer that style.
  12. at that price, I would say negligible. but you never know... ?
  13. @Slamz I put it together from the individual parts on skirmshop UK. if you use the code HAWK you get a few % off and that means it's only a little more expensive than the out of stock bundle... not ideal, but it's in stock at least ?
  14. so the postman delivered this today. hopefully the maple leaf hop unit and crazy jet barrel will extend the range a bit further. ?
  15. I would suggest having a look at the range of gunman Airsoft events, including their range of milsims; http://www.gunmanairsoft.co.uk
  16. haha, indeed... although I'm unlikely to keep these under the floor
  17. so I picked this up yesterday, cheers @Whomite I've wanted one of these for years
  18. I personally use luke warm soapy water to clean the lenses on my revision bullet ant goggles. I then follow this with fairy washing up liquid on its own to prevent fogging. This approach doesn't seem to damage them, or at least it hasn't so far. I haven't had any experience with any specific lens cleaning solutions. that's my 2p worth anyway, I hope that helps.
