      @Skara - Yeah I don't really get what the supply chain issue is. Even if you pre-ordered yonks ago you won't have one in your hands for another four months.

      Speculation in the SniperWorks discord says that this delay is because he's making them on order (from what I've seen they actually machine the uppers in house).

      Although pre-ordering seems to be the standard now for new guns/gear/everything.

      @Skara - That's one way to ensure healthy cash flow!.....also I may have accidentally ordered one but thinking of cancelling it in hindsight. I've just ordered another SSX23 and that shoots about as far as I would need it to. Plus, really struggling to compute having only 24 rounds in my primary magazine (plus those MK23/SSX23/SSX303 mags are a bitch to load).

    I have a pair. I recommend enlarging the ventilation slits because they're tiny and the goggles end up fogging quick, despite the dual pane lens.

    If I were you, I'd stick with the plastic handguard. Makes the rifle so much lighter and much less tiring. Also, what Version of the Raider do you have? 1.0 or 2.0?

    €10 postage from skirmshop.nl I paid €77 or something for the lot, including postage. Buying it from airsoft world (or whatever website you mentioned the other day) would've probably set me back around the €100 mark.

    oh well. Only two people in my club run recoils, and yes they run them stock. Solely because they're expensive as shit (in the €650 region).

I genuinely didn't know which was the correct word (and yes, 'muricans fucked your language up pretty bad) Tricky. If I were to run a mk23 carbine, it'd be a replacement for my sniper rifle. In that case I wouldn't run a MK23 as a sidearm, because 1J limit, zero MED meaning I can use it at point blank anyway. So I'd run another secondary (AAP-01, compact AEG, regular GBB) and use all the MK23 mags for the carbine. I've seen people running carbines AND mk23s though, makes it easier to pick spare mags but yes, can lead to those "oh shit" moments when you realized you've spent all your ammo in the carbine and you're left with 3 bbs in your sidearm.

    Yes, I do want one. No, I haven't preordered because I want to know the final price first. Preferably at a discount from some disappointed kid that "OmG sHiT gNu". Apart from Foundry Airsoft's kits, the rest is just 3d printed shit that bends if you look at it funny. Also, big false advertisement from Nov, he states the SSX-303 is a complete standalone gun, when in reality it's a carbine kit with a bog standard SSX-23 inside. Nonetheless, it seems to be decently designed (apart from that stupid outer barrel that goes 16CW to 14CCW because raisins, fuck inverted threads really) and being made of aluminum (or aluminium? Please enlighten me on which one is the british term) makes it a bit sturdier than the rest.

    I've been told that the FCU automatically shuts down the gun when something goes wrong. One thing could be you setting the battery protection to 11.1s but actually use 7.4s, I've done it by mistake once and the gun did a whopping 50 bbs before shutting down. Now, the motor getting extremely hot is because of the stupid "fixed" active brake, especially in semi auto. I, being a full auto wanker, managed to have the grip so hot it was actually painful to hold, but the gun kept working as normal. OR, if you installed a high speed motor, it's quite normal as they draw a fuckton of amps and get really fucking hot as standard. Also check the shimming and check the integrity on the bushings (if you haven't already), the stock bushings are made of butter and ovalize rather quickly, this causes misalignment in gears and might result in putting a lot of unnecessary stress on the motor, that has now to overcome the spring AND the attrition between gears.

    Today was fun. As per my status update, my M4 decided to be a cunt and jam bbs, so I ended up playing with a teammate's backup gun. Which didn't like Lonex flash mags. But heh. At least it somehow worked. But anyway, short session today as the weather was crap, I went with a slightly lighter loadout (more speedsofty, my belt + a chest rig with just 3 single mag pouches) which worked really well. We had a new player who was at his first game, he quickly gained the nickname "fisherman's friend" because he literally showed up dressed like a fisherman (rubber boots, weird blue boonie and a green pvc parka). Wore mesh goggles because glasses kept steaming up, not a smart idea considering that I took a bb shard to the eye. Luckily it didn't do any damage but for half a second I got scared as I've witnessed some nasty shit with cheap bbs and mesh goggles. Oh, and it was probably the last game for a while, the expected rise in new rona cases during the autumn/winter season somehow caught our government by surprise, so we are most likely shutting down sports tomorrow (but not parties, silly country).

    Barrel diametre doesn't affect consistency as much as you'd think. First make sure the air seal is spot on (from the piston down to the hop rubber). As for the wobble, either what Adolf said or you can glue a thin rubber pad directly onto the stock/receiver.
