Brilliant, nice one Stotty.... Ordered.  :)

  2. Well today I used one of few remaining leave days. So was intent on having a great time, which it was...right up to about 1hr into the afternoon game. Hit a spikey tree stump, my left knee went one way and the rest of me went the other way...hit the floor like a sack of shit. Marshall was gonna call the game, but I told him not to....didn't want to ruin the flow of the game as we were winning. After about 20mins of trying to see if it would be ok, I decided to continue playing, but only by hobbling everywhere...determined not to waste the day. Just got home and I have a massive lump (The size of a tennis ball) on the side of my kneecap...a little worried as the swelling is enormous. Will see what it's like tomorrow. It was a great day, weather was beautiful and gameplay and sportsmanship was pretty good. Even got given a AK74 GBBR with x3 leaky gas mags as a gift from a mate, who I helped out getting him a few rifs.
  3. Helikon training mini-rig from Bullseye Country Sport. Gotta love Woodland gear....and should be nice & light. (4 Mags, 4 Pistol mags and lots of space in both pouches for skittles)
  4. Thanks for the link, just bought one as well...always room for more bang on the battle belt.
  5. M249/Mk46 users.. FYI.  Just bought a boxmag from BULLGEAR, which is their upgraded one with metal internals.  I was holding off as it shows you have to wire the mag into the mechbox..but if you drop them a message on FB, they will send you the "new" version with a battery inside it. :) (My 4th shitty plastic chienese piece of expensive crap box mag died on Sunday..no more messing around)  £138 inc shipping for the Bullgear box mag. (And A&K plastic box mags retail for £99.99..lol)

  6. Ok, x3 guns with Luke @ Negative Airsoft.  I'm starting to think about HPA, as I'm getting fed up with broken AEG's.  Might sell the lot (Apart from my TM Recoil) and go for a Wolverine MTW...

Thanks for the comments chaps, will be seriously thinking about it over the next couple of months.

@proffrinkwhich is why I prefer using Marui recoils... The haptic feedback from the recoil is just fun... and when the bolt stop goes during a bb-fight you just shout fcuk loudly slap in a mag and hit the bolt stop and there you go....

I will consider a MWS too, but am waiting for the Mk18 to be released whenever that will be.....

I have been thinking long and hard about HPA. Its the only platform I have not tried and there no guns I want, so I think my next airsoft investment will be a HPA system and get into that side of it. I see more and more HPA users on sites, it is certainly a growing trend and I think it could end up the norm at some point.

I would be keen to try some tapped mags and a tippman before I truely went down any other route but could happily convert my current guns over.

Although if i ever run a hicappa with a tapped M4 hicap you all have persmission to NEVER talk to me again.

  7. Any good recommendations on where to buy 0.3 Bio BB's from chaps?  Just found out next weekend event is BIO only. :(  Looking at all the usual online retailers..just wanted to find out who best to buy from?

+1 for geoffs, good price and good ammo!!

      Steveocee

Normally I'd peg for O&T as well but only paid attention to these guys pricing last night https://www.ammodrop.co.uk/ammo/bio-bbs very well priced and open blasters are "the" ASG bb's to get.

  8. ParcelFarce48 fail again...  BB's for the weekend dispatched on Wednesday, due Friday...still stuck at National Hub on Friday, not even in my county....I'm away all weekend from tomorrow...Guess i'll have to buy some more BB's from a local retailer.  (Bought x3 bags of Valkyrie 0.32 bbs btw)   Pissed... :(

      Rogerborg

Absolutely bloody shower, and they're not even a "universal carrier" any more. The only airsoft thing they do unambiguously agree to carry is BBs, see:

      https://www.parcelforce.com/help-and-advice/sending/prohibitions-and-restrictions

And note carefully the distinction between "air rifles, air guns and air pistols" (which they'll take) and "imitations and antiques; paint-ball or toy guns" which they won't (because why?)

I know all couriers are equally bad, but at least MyHermes will charge you less for flinging your parcel in a bush or flogging it at auction.

    2. sjhirst

      sjhirst

The company i work for gave up with parcelforce- every parcel was late, so bad feedback from customers.

Every other courier has been spot on for us!

  9. I'm in love with my 5.11 SOMS 3.0 Deployment bag, it carries everything I need, plate carrier & chestrig, with tons of room still left in it, all my mags (20) and ammo & gas...and still had unused pockets and room to spare.  Handles everywhere and being wheeled makes life dragging it a breeze.  Also broke in my Lowa GTX Zephyr Mid boots today..my god impressive booties, super grippy and nice ankle support.  X2 best purchases this year, bag & boots. :)

I like 5.11 and have a range of their clothing and kit items. Always found it hard wearing and good value.

      My mate is a 5.11 whore...and I'm slowly turning into him.  :)

  10. £226. Steep, but it's quality and will last for years. It's a deployment bag, but only place i'd be deploying it to the airsoft field and maybe a holiday somewhere.
  11. Fed up carrying multiple bags to events, so decided to take up the 20% Summer sale from Tactree and stop messing about and buy a decent bag to carry all my shit.
  12. I have a condor chestrig & hydro back panel as well...a godsend during hot hot hot skrims..
  13. Bought a pair of Lowa Zephyr Gtx mid boots, as my Altberg Defenders are a bit heavy and cumbersome for summer. Plus some weather protection to throw up by my car. (Some events I've gone to now with COVID restictions, have u setting up in a carpark..no cover! This solves that one..)
  14. 3rd weekend of Airsoft under the belt...one more to go!  Today was up to me crotch in a stream flanking the enemy...nice and cool on a hot hot day! :)

Played at my local site yesterday and they had super strict rules in place..and even split the 60 players into two groups of 15 each.  Made for slow boring games. :(  Still had fun wading through streams and getting my sneak on.  Played @ NPF 3 weeks ago.. 150+ players, not restrictions on players in the field, but social distancing was enforced at car park (Not allowed to use safe zone) - Going to a "new" site this weekend and will see what their COVID restrictions will be like.

Might need to try NPF again, I remember it being good for sniping.

  15. Looking forward to seeing what these can do on Sunday....
  16. Just got back from NPF Bassetts Pole..God I ache. :)  Rebuilt G&G ran great..TM SopMod ran great and Bolt M16A4 recoil was insane and lots of fun....

Best place Ive been to in the West Midlands. Hilly terrain so legs can ache a bit after a 3 month break.

I still need to try Stormforce.

I've been to NPF once at the start of the year, was good for sniping.

  17. Gun back from Luke @ Negative Airsoft (G&G Tr4-18) New cylinder New shell (Was cracked) New gears & shimmed (Replacement gears were already worn) New rotary hop unit (Still got my prommie flathop in it) + few other bits & bobs he's done to get it running sweet again. Basically it's a new gun. Looking forward to playing with it this Saturday. (Mainly my CQB gun, but still wanna run it outside)
  18. As a Gear whore, I have a WARRIOR DCS plate carrier, a replica CIRAS plate carrier, a CONDOR chest rig and a full molle Tac-vest. Mainly I decide what I'm going to run for the day and usually tailor each carrier to the gun and how I want to play. In hot weather the chest rig is king..it's light weight and comfy, same as the Tac-vest. The plate carriers I use the WARRIOR for CQB mainly and i've yet to run the CIRAS due to COVID. With the plate carrier's & chest rig I also run x2 different warbelt setups. (One a WARRIOR another a Repo) Belt setups are very handy and comfy if you buy a good one.
  19. Things i've purchased over the last few weeks of COVID19 lockdown. Replica CIRAS Woodland plate carrier & mag pouches etc.. Travail 4.5kg training plates Tru-Spec M81 combat top (All the way from America) One-Tigris warbelt + bits & bobs added to it. (I already have a Multicam WARRIOR belt as well) Amazon special Red dot sight (for my Vortex Strike Eagle) **Just gotta cure the mag problem with the ICS (Won't feed bb's from full mags) + BOLT M16A4 with replica ACOG + Bayonet for giggles..
  20. Just bought some Travail training plates...  Gonna play dress up next week. :)

G&G...was running @ 34fps, then 260fps something not right with it.  Took it apart, cleaned, regreased, new spring..got up to 300fps, but still running rough.  New parts (Bushings etc ordered but still rough and noticed stripped piston teeth)  So rather than take it all apart again, off it goes to get a proper look at)

  22. Screw in pistolgrip of rifle rounded off.. Grrr!  Need to figure out how to get it out.  (Tried glue/rubber band)  Hard to dremel as recessed in pistol grip.  :(

I used Gorilla glue and let it sit for 24hrs...But didnt' work.  I think I may need to get physical and bring some brute force to it.  Good thing I bought a new gun the other week. :)

I have to admit I must have spent over a grand this week on a new dmr loadout, and the mrs hasn't said a thing, I think it might be a test ha

  24. Ordered a top from America, hoping to get away with customs charge... Nope, email from Royal Mail. Customs charge will be applied.... Why when I buy from China, i've never paid anything ever in customs charge?

I think I can count on one hand the times something from the US has come through without a charge.  Always assume there will be a charge with stuff from the US.

Yep, was hoping this time would be different...lol (Probably charge me same what I paid for the item) :)
