Best Tavor is either the Elite Force CTAR which isn't sold outside the US (made by S&T) Or the S&T tavor professional in the UK.
The Umarex is just a rebadged S&T Explorer Tavor.
Ares have released a new Tavor which has the Amoeba gearbox but its very expensive and I haven't heard anything about them myself. The Ares externals are better then the S&T but have more proprietary internal parts.

Also the allergy was reported on reddit. But it was unlikely caused by the rifle alone. If it really was the rifle then they would have technically been allergic to their own body fat. I get rashes when I am very sweaty and it's a hot day rubbing against plastic.

Umarex Tavor Sportline. Yeah, its the non blowback, short barreled, ABS receiver rather then the Fibre one. But it has the metal gearbox and only cost 75 quid shipped!
If you want a Tavor and dont want to spend much then this is the one.

So my search for a cheap as chips Tavor has ended. Unfortunately it had to be a Umarex branded one with the plastic fantastic receiver and metal gearbox rather then an S&T Nylon fibre pro jobbie.
However this was very cheap at 90 euros shipped from France!
Damn cheap! Thats now all of the currently released bullpup rifles I have been looking for! (Until MDR comes out!)

The TM DOR came in this morning.
Mike at ESC had it all lubed for me ready to shoot. 302 fps out of the box with ASG ultraair 😮
It's such a snappy pistol. Feels really solid and with a nice kick! For 99 quid you really cant go wrong!

Got myself some new tactical vests from the gunfire sale.
Flectarn chest rig. This is for when I run my G36s or for use as a sniper rig underneath my ghillie. Not the best made but for 5 quid you cant go wrong! Can fit two extra double pistol mag pouches too.
MBSS lasercut tac vest in coyote/tan. I dont have any tan stuff so it's best to get started! Only 9 quid and I got all this quality! Feels fantastic, will likely use this in the SVU loadout or M16. Also grabbed the dump bag for 2 quid.
