  1. Likewise mate. I stopped myself rubbing my eye when some aggregate blew into my eye at work. Bloody hard. I have to take serious painkillers to do airsoft. Worst injury was probably tearing more cartilage in my foot during a milsim. If I'd taken the muscle relaxants I may have got away with it, but being out of my routine I forgot. I did have some tit deciding that I wasn't calling my hits and throwing himself round a barrier and full autoing me in the face at a few feet. Much blood from eyebrows, bridge of nose and forehead. Soon healed though, unlike foot...
  2. Have you got a mate with UKARA who could import it for you?
  3. I'm mates with a Japanese gun journo. He's really into G&G M4s and speedsoft, stalking with a .223 (including big Sikas), and wildfowling with a an old Browning A5 and Cerakoted Remmy 870. Japanese gun culture is different for sure.
  4. Jesus wept!

My thighs ache like fuck.  I can hardly keep my eyes open, and I feel fantastic.

Great day at Tuddenham with Gunman today.  Perhaps going for a long run yesterday to warm up was not such a good idea...

After lunch my painful back was feeling much better and my shoulders and neck were much looser.  Airsoft is great physio.  Hot shower and a walk of a couple of miles to warm down.

I'll do some bag work tomorrow, and a couple of rounds with the lad if he's not too tired after college.

      Yep, I can imagine.

I found myself not so much steadying myself against the trees but positively using them for support.

One of the reasons I love this so much is that you simply push yourself into physical action for so long.  I don't mind squash etc, but you'd never play that for four or five hours, let alone a full weekend!

that was me at the end!! although changed tappet spring out right near the end as had been getting stressed with the gun all day lol

haha totally was 6hrs total gameplay pretty much never use to push myself that hard skating lol

  5. DPM is a development of the Dennison smock hand brushed camo patterns IIRC. Designed, as mentioned above, for Northern Europe; and painted by hand. Times move on.
  6. For an gnu that rare, with that perfect Halford's Own paintjob, and, unless God allows my eyes to be deceived, set of wondrous extras; the chap obviously states collection only. I can only hope that Securicor or Group 4 are insured well enough to carry such an article. There's fuck all chance of anyone driving halfway across the country for it, that's for sure.
  7. I've seen attempts to produce blue lizard from dyeing tigerstripe with blue dye. Looked awful TBH, as described above it was a weird aqua greenish.
  8. I've tried a hot sniper rifle and impacts from a small ball peen hammer. I was testing an old pair with a baggy strap for amusement/learning rather than actually playing. I did test them running/standing etc. I did get a hole to fracture at the edge slightly, I think from an uneven/rough countersunk bevel. The holes were drilled at differing distances to see how proximity effected strength. The sniper actually dented the plastic, or an external coating to the extent that it effected optical quality, but the damage was cumulative. You may catch a 550fps at 2" once in game, but the damage took about three magazines. If I find them up, I'll stick them on here. Obviously we don't abuse our eyepro, so doing just that was informative to observe. It was a pair of Uvex Ultrasonic. They are great as log as you don't leave them full of water overnight, as the antifog coating if destroyed. I discovered this getting pissed at a Namsoft weekend...
  9. If you describe someone at an airsoft game as 'wearing mtp and has an M4,' you will be describing about 50% of the players at some games. Best stick a carnation in your buttonhole...
  10. I tried a pair of sealed glasses type Bolles. They fogged too badly to get the car out of the driveway... Ski type goggles are not as bad but still fog. With special coating and Cat Crap they are slightly better. Homemade extraction fans, a row of double countersunk 0.5mm holes around the edge of the goggles, anti-fog coating and Cat Crap still fogs at times. (Tested these with a point blank shot from a 40Mike) Ignore advice from bikers, I rode in all weathers for a living and never had the issues that airsoft gives. If you sweat enough the moisture gets to dew point and fogs the lens. I gave up and used mesh. When riding bikes for a living, I did get one numpty to try rubbing his visor with a raw onion as an anti-fog agent...
  11. I'm doing the Sunday 18th at Tuddenham just down the road. I usually go with a couple of mates and my lad.
  12. So... having moaned about the barrel support on G&G M4s, I did the obvious thing and bought another one (thanks to Shooting Aces!).

I have fitted a very curvy sculpted grip and a similar sculpted magwell grip.  I really fancy a chunky round profile stock to complement them both and the big fat round forend.   Something shaped like a flat bottomed tick that doesn't alter the standard cheek weld would be favourite.

    Any ideas?

P.S. each pay day I'm buying stuff to fit to this.   So far I have a load of marked shims, new bushings, SHS 12:1 gears, hi-torque motor, Perun mosfet, 16AWG wiring, lightweight piston and new cylinder/nozzle, ZCI barrel and hop unit etc.

Sounds about right ! When you come down to it I think most of us are just Pavlov’s dog in clothes ? 😳

      Yep.  Spot bargain rifle?

Proceed to chuck several of the externals and most of the internals away straight away for a tiny incremental benefit.

      Repeat...

  13. Exactly this!!! The safety brief for a real steel site takes about 5 mins; why? The safety brief is NRA standard. The same could happen in airsoft. If we really got our act together we could link up with BASC and add our membership of however many to their 130K members and get real clout. They have media trained spokespersons, ex-parliamentarians, and professional PR people to hand. If we don't regulate ourselves, some other fucker will, and they may do so with some high profile media event behind them.
  14. There are several governing bodies for shooting sports. I imagine that it would not be a stupendous job to modify a set of existing rules for airsoft sites. Muzzle energy limits and eye pro specs are read out at ranges up and down the country. I don't like regulation, bit I expect that if we don't regulate ourselves, some clueless knee jerk legislation may follow some incident or other.
  15. BP shooters use silver rizla king skins. Make the cartridge skin around a dowel, then pour in the BBS. Fold the ends over to seal.
  16. The lad has a blow back G&G. It's been reliable for a couple of years, but... he dropped it and the front fell off. The G&G 'fet is crap.
  17. Thanks fellas. I'll get that JG part Loozart and a spare too I think. You are right Speedbird, in airsoft just because it should, doesn't mean that it will...
  18. There are some interesting looking games in Poland. There is a weekender milsim that takes place in the Tatra mountains in winter that I fancied doing a while back. Get a couple of mates, do the game and pick up some pews on the return.
  19. Those police riot squad knee pads look daft but work very well. They can't fall down and allow you to run through sodden undergrowth without getting soaked. They do different leg lengths and can be painted (thankfully). I can see me sewing a few pairs of strides over the weekend mind, looking at the belt loop idea. Cheers!
  20. I do the equivalent to a marathon every few days. I put a snickers in my lunchbox... Joking aside, I'm waiting for my back to heal so its no more running and free weights. Just physio, and gentle bag work to get some cardio.
  21. Anyone have an clue if the Tokyo Marui G3 SELECTOR LEVER SWITCH part G-14 would fit a JG? The tiny machine screw that sits in the shaft of the pin that the selector lever sits on has snapped off, and I have nothing small enough to remove it. I'd need about a 0.75 mm screw extractor to have a chance I think. Smallest I can find is 2.5mm. I don't think that I even have a tap that small. Drilling the broken screw out and helicoiling seems a bit damn much too, if they are available in that size.
