First impressions... yowzers!   Plugged in a 7.4v 25C lipo via the supplied Tamiya connector and it's shooting very nicely.  Will look forward to trying an 11.1 in there.
I've just pinged a few shots into my garden so no real idea on accuracy / range / hop etc but all good things, eh?
The main thing is it just feels great, so pleased!

I must admit i fall into the finding NGRS "recoil" gimmicky faction but i cannot deny its out of the box performance!
The two things that i am surprised/disappointed by are the lack of guiselle markings on the rail system and the lack of resistance on the bolt release.
 
The Detonics is actually surprisingly good for the first few shots given its diminutive barrel length but after the first 5/6 rounds that quickly drops off due to the tiny magazines miniscule gas capacity but its good fun none the less and lets face it this isnt a RIF that you purchase for its effectiveness in a skirmish.
 
These are my first modern TM purchases and i must say I'm impressed, they perform excellently out of the box and feel great in the hand.
The plastics are excellent and nothing like the cheap rattly plastics of old.

Ak 101. 
although early model 74 look strikingly similar to the akm, in that they both have fixed stock and wooden furniture; apart from chambering different rounds, the main visual ‘tell’ is the gas block: Ak47 have a distinctive curve whereas the 74 has more of a vertical stature. 
this being the pmc akm, I would quite easily see someone buying this and selling the five 74 mags and the furniture and gas tube for say £275.  And setting it back in pic mode, leaving them with a perfectly respectably upgrade rif for £325.

The walnut Turkish furniture I ordered arrived… the Mrs was disappointed but I wasn’t. Just need to decide which lovely Czech lady gets it?

Made the rail cover now as well, going try making a scope cover but that be little bit harder to do.

New belt arrived just in time this week, ready for testing at Gunman descent this weekend. really comfortable and a nice improvement over my old FRV belt as the pouches are much more stable.

Start of a Multicam loadout, which I always said I wouldn't do, but hey ho.

Ferro Concepts Slingster, BFG QD loops and Esstac KYWI triple 5.56 panel, single 5.56 and single pistol pouch from Tactical Kit, and an AATV t-shirt because it helps a brother out and, well, why not?
Still waiting on the FRV shooters belt (hope they've sorted their deliveries out as only read the thread after I ordered, and a TMC 354DO holster. 
 

I run different things depending on the type of site I'm playing on.
 
If it's CQB or I'm feeling particularly fit, I'll run the JPC and shooters belt.  
 
For longer games, or on hot or wet days I'm really favouring a Virtus belt and Jayjays yoke. Loads of space for mags, water, BBs & gas, spare kit and snickers.

I'm just gonna stop hoping to stock nuprol guns, I cannot in good conscience sell this thing to someone when it can't hop a 0.2 out the box. Looks lovely externally, slide is nice and smooth, action is nice and smooth, but the hop is just... wafer thin as stock. Decided write this one off and buy it myself. Shimmed (read: put tape under) the hop arm until I can get something more permanent sorted out. At least it hops 0.25s now even with a drop in power. We'll see how it handles the field this weekend. 
 
On the other hand, Swiss arms adaptx holster, really, really happy with it. I didn't think a universal quick release holster was really doable but this is quite nice. And it's ambidextrous! I've fitted it to the R226 and my WE EU17 Gen 4, and it can fit both no worries. Takes some adjustment, some parts are a bit fiddly, but overall a fairly simple process. Again, field testing this weekend. 

No better feeling than when someone does a quick spin to look for you before they shout hit and clearly don't have a scooby where you are!

My first ever leather project. I wanted old fashioned flap holster for my shadow 2 with torch. Couldn't find one so I designed and made it been using it in few games already and is still in one piece. I call that a success

Does this count as 'making something'?

Magnetized the grip rubber because it uses two very long screws which take forever to get out for swapping battery etc. Worked out better than expected. Gonna chop some bolt heads off and glue them to the back so it looks like they're in.

Upper reciever basically done. will be starting on the lower soon. The v3 gearbox fits perfectly though I will need a little extension for the hop up 3d printed to make it work with m4 mags. 

"Buy a TM recoil because it's got the best parts, then replace them all with bester parts." has a familiar ring to it. Where have I heard that before? 😕

Op the best out of the box gun is the one where you spend 2mins removing the upper and swapping out the hop rubber for a maple leaf 50 or 60 and the matching omega nub. 

This can be done by the most noobie of noobies and requires literally no skill or knowledge of AEG's to achieve. 

Remove two bolts, lugs. Gently pull upper forwards. Remove hop from barrel, bish bash bosh. You have the most accurate AEG achievable. 

Personally I would avoid recoils like the plague, they are piss poor power out the box and a whore to work on compared to every other AEG on the market.

I got one of these second hand an upgrade the hop and spring in under 5mins. It is as good as my 1k Recoil that I sold because they keep breaking after you up the power and ROF. 

Really any AEG with the hop upgraded is going to more accurate than any out of the box AEG and it is sooooo simple to do. 

SO SIMPLE!
