I've been tempted to put a Russian kit together myself, because EMR + smersh (also in EMR) is a vibe. Don't have many Russian weapons though (I don't like AEGs or HPA that isn't fully self-contained, and I'm not shelling out on a WE SVD) so I would probably need to modernise my AKM, without totally changing the structure so I can return to old-fashioned if I need to. But I have to be really tight with money at the moment (want to buy a car ideally before Christmas and also max out my lifetime ISA limit for this financial year before April), but I've been browsing HK stores for TM AKM GBBR modernisation parts. I did resist the temptation to spend a couple hundred on a stock, picatinny handguard and a front grip. I swear, browsing those shops is a dangerous thing...

While we're on the subject of aks. i recently picked up this £100 arcturus pp-19 from the classifieds which now bring my ruskie weapons count to 9 🤣

Old config of my LV-119. Hasn't changed that much, just moved the pouches up to the front and re-arranged that cummerbund itself to be more like the new Reactive 'bund for the LV-120.

Guys, as per the other just-cos thread, gonna lock this one too, the general consensus on the forum is that just-cos is a piss poor defence with very little legal substance, & most of those members that support it are not committed airsofters, which is fine for them i guess, but when the poop hits the fan due to misuse of a rif, bought using just-cos, its the legitimate airsofters that will suffer long term. So promoting it in any form, or listing retailers that now accept it, won't be shown here, for the reasons ive mentioned.

+1 for real ammo tins. I have two real ammo tins, one for sniper/DMR ammo, one for rifle/pistol ammo. I chuck a few silicon packs in each to make sure there's no moisture that will degrade my BBs Plus, it's immersive.

Funnily enough... I'm not an AK fanboi but I bought one so I had 'an' AK in my collection... I now have 9ish** **if you count the dragunov, SVU & the AKM Masada. yeah kinda spurious but the point is it's more than 1

it's a slippery slope, before you know it you will be making 4 AK74's with wooden furniture with the 4 different wood types issued over the years or making sure the AIMS side folder has the correct lever or button to fold depending on which version you want to model.

My local site runs a 1.3J limit for AEGs, which is a bit higher than most places I’ve been to. Doesn’t really change anything meaningful id say, but I have noticed that when people get overshot while already dead, tempers seem to flare a bit quicker. Personally I don’t see any point in upping the limits beyond that as 1.3J feels already on the limit of what id want to play (most of my stuff is at 1.13 so i can use it everywhere.) It just seems people want to up the limit to get their rifs to fire straighter/quicker time to target and with less bb deviation but as anyone who has used a stock TM will tell you fps isn't drastically going to change that. I would be very interested to play a game in Japan to see how different it really is at a lower limit and if it makes the games more/less enjoyable.

No I wouldn't. I really don't know if it's sadism but i don't get the more power lot in airsoft!. I have seen people get their teeth shot out, i have had to dig BBs out my arm, still got a mark on my collar over a month after i got shot. All at UK limits most from long range shots. It's been proved time again you don't need power to get range and personally think airsoft would better with out snipers.

@MSSNAFUif you do make any more EM2s I'd be absolutely desperate to grab one from you! I'm a gas blowback man myself, but if it means getting an EM2 I can stomach AEG or HPA 🥺

It's kind of irrelevant given that "yeah I play Airsoft and this is an Airsoft gun" is a legal defence.

Not directly bought, but £10 worth of raffle tickets secured this. The plan is to throw them all at the Lad next time we play together.

Just to clarify, rep handguards fit perfectly on the VFC MP5 - I’ve tested it with both the early skinny handguard, as well as the aftermarket surefire one (pictured as proof!). Additionally, VFC is also compatible with all (that I’ve tested so far) real optics and optics rails too, and I’ve tested quite a niche range. Side note- if anyone is after the burst lower, I’ve got the original one off my MP5 that I’d be willing to dig out and part with.

I don't assume anything, by your own admission researching a seller is extra effort & you'd rather go to a retailer, a as I previously said, your money, your choice. The point being discussed, that many don't agree with, understandably, is the defence of cosplay has little bearing on airsoft, open to abuse by non airsofters, which in turn puts everything at risk for the genuine players. I sympathise with your situation, I too provide 24/7 care, literally day & night, to a relative, unpaid I should add, who is disabled & has dementia. Add to that I've been receiving cancer treatment since 2021, & severe orthopaedic issues mean I currently can't climb or descend a flight of stairs unaided, so I know exactly how hard it can be to attend games, or even cope with getting around some sites. (I'm determined to not let the health crap force me to quit) Cosplay would have been piss easy for me to use to buy rifs, but I don't agree with it for Airsoft rifs for all the reasons previously mentioned, maybe cosplayers and reenactors should have been made to go down the route of deacts or similar, in order to not "muddy the waters" for airsofters. & as has been mentioned, maybe people like you & I, who find themselves in difficult personal situations should have more flexible options for attaining a ukara defence. I'll put this out there as a general question, for example has anyone ever approached a site where they've started playing, but for whatever reason have had a protracted break between games, & asked the site to honour the previous games & make an allowance for the time away ?, allowing players get ukara approval.

I bought the King Arms wood conversion kit for my Thompson from patrol base. it got delivered today. In the packet was a mock Cyma suppressor, m870 gas tank and a battle belt. 😭😭😭 Straight on the phone tomorrow morning! Meh
