Well guys, it's been a while. So, some of you may remember that I have been working on something for the past 5 years: First one version Second version Third version Fourth version And now, I have finally completed it, the MOSQUITO MK1. If you didn't know already, the MOSQUITO is a 3D printed airsoft design, purposefully made to compete against other rifles in terms of looks, size, weight, and customisability. If you break a part, oh well! Just print another one! It uses a traditional V3 AEG gearbox and the usual AEG hop and barrel. However, you won't need a hop chamber. That's right, the hop chamber is 3D printed and proven to be very reliable on the field. Saves you from buying a new one. It has been designed to be as easy to print and source parts for as possible, using standard metric components. This final MK1 release vastly improves on the previous version in almost every way possible: New handguard design New mock bolt design New folding iron sights Refined grip design Refined folding stock Hope you guys enjoy it. I have a GE shotgun picked up second hand for a bargain Does it replace any other RIFs for a filmsim or proper day out? No Does it bring a smile to my face in CQB? Yes Do I feel like a badass cocking it and putting three in the chest of a good friend as he rounds the corner? Absolutely!! Man I can't imagine plugging away at a replica for five years I'm ngl. I had an A&&K SVD and managed to get it to like, minimum BASR level of usefulness. Sold it after a year or so because it was so awkward to handle and just not that well built. There's aftermarket for basically every part of it from AirsoftPro in Czechia but after totting up the cost to make it theoretically shoot pure lasers mate no lies 200m flat I just sold it and built an ARBA gas sniper instead.

"Better" is hugely subjective and depends on environmental factors. Did you "hear" VFC is better from a staunch VFC user or somebody with an axe to grind with TM? I don't think you can go wrong with either platform, certainly with VFC made in the last few years. VFC has more recoil out of the box generally and I'd say they feel more substantial. They also lift heavier BBs over a greater distance out of the box but swapping hop buckings and nubs is a simple enough job on the MWS platform so that benefit is negated quickly. Cold resistance is relative. There are ways to combat it that make VFC vs MWS a much more nuanced discussion. You can use lighter bolts/BCGs along with using red or even black gas and both will still cycle reliably when it's near or below freezing.

Hey, I got a Cyma CM355 abs version this morning. It is a cheap spring shotgun but it is a nice (not so) little thing! Doesn't have the hassle of gas and shoots FAR. Mind you I live in Italy where the limit for any airsoft replica is 0.99j, but this thing shoots as far as an AEG

I run a couple of grab bags (1 black, 1 OD), not the issue type, small bucket bags with molle on both sides & the ends, larger taco's on one side, smg taco's on the other, twin pistol on one end & twin 40mm on the other (which handily takes a bfg & small gas reservoir can). Main compartment takes nalgene water, chocky, spare goggs & battery, what more do you need ?. Perfect 👌 (Obviously I own about a million other rigs that invariably never get used lol) 😱

Well I just joined the hundreds/thousands of middle aged blokes & pre-ordered one.

Joined the club this week. Feedback using green gas is surprisingly crisp. Legitimately tempted to pick up another box and not worry about HPAing it. Very light, almost uncomfortably so, especially compared to my EBR, might pick up some dNA parts eventually. only plan to slap an EOtech and a railed hand guard and call it a day. overall though, love it so far.

Your post wasn't deleted, it was hidden & locked, there's a difference. While I appreciate you were trying to give people a heads up, anything to do with airguns, sales or discussions, isn't permitted here. There must be better suited forums for airgun discussion, Facebook pages, or even YouTube reviews you could post. Just not here. & no, its not a cult, just an airsoft community, many projects are discussed here, loads of advice given, but there are some specific rules, which clearly you're not following. Its not rocket science🤔 PS your other posts, the ones you claim to be ignored on, are all pertaining to the same cheap rifle/upgrade you were having issues with. Could it be that no one here has tried to do the same "upgrade" with the same kit, & therefore didnt feel qualified to confidently advise you on the best course of action ?. Four posts on one subject (IN 6 YEARS😏) isn't a great example of you trying to "engage" with the forum, in fact it just shows that you expect the hive mind to be here for you, as & when you need them, & clearly not the other way round. Maybe you're right to give up, although I don't know how we'll manage without your input 🤣

I think this is worth mentioning when it comes up; what @Anonymoose said I would very much echo. I can recall seeing a laser used once ever at a game, which was at a woodland site and it just perfectly highlighted where the person trying to shoot me was crouching. They can potentially have some utility in IR form if you have proper night vision to see it and play a game where that combo is allowed/relevant, but we're getting in to small niches at that point. Obviously if someone wants to deck out their shooter with a PEQ or whatever for looks then go for it, they are important devices for the real firearms we're replicating, but airsoft utility is slim to none. A simple white light that's got an ergonomic momentary activation switch can be useful very often (again depending where you play) and apart from anything is great for.. you know just seeing where the heck you're walking and not tripping over and breaking yourself. I'd wager the most common airsoft injuries beyond little bb welts are probably the results of trips, slips, falls, collisions etc.

I have many, and have successfully used them zero times. Lights, on the other hand, are very useful. Every time i've used one, someone on the other team has shot me. A 100% success rate. Also, it seems to me that red lasers are only good for indoor CQB/night games, and green lasers are only good for outdoor day games. I have an ally NGAL on my 416, which is really nice despite being really for decoration. My SD has a Surefire clone on it.
