Just thought I’d let everyone know that it did indeed end up being a scam, so stay away from this buyer. But I was able to get my money back from PayPal after about 2 weeks. I decided to just buy a new CM048 off of BBguns4less.3 points -

Welcome. Don't write off your old kit as being useless, none of my AEGs have mosfets and all my gbb guns are completely stock but I don't feel I'm ever really at a disadvantage3 points -

Ahoy and welcome back. Lipo is great, quick change springs are a treat, and fire control systems have started to show up even in low end guns in the last year or so But the BBs don't care: a properly hopped 1.1J BB is going to go as far as it ever did. My regular gun is just a basic M4 in a fancy shell, and I'm having as much fun as anyone else.2 points -

I've started a Instagram @callsign_temps a follow would be appreciated. I can't believe how much Airsoft has advanced in the last 10 years to the point of all my kit is outdated gen 2 aeg and my GBBR l85. Anyway guys hope to meet and speak to some of you.1 point

Much like my airsoft guns, I just grab whatever cheap disposable Chinese-made tat comes to hand first in the morning. Actually true, I like buying Chinese standard movement watches from AliExpress, sometimes to disassemble. One day I'll manage to re-assemble one. And my MP5K. And my AEP.1 point -

The rules and details are far too much to me. A hardcore fan of the game could be interested in that level, but you’ve then got a very niche within a niche for the customer base If you manage to build a regular crowd then things could build. I’d recommend either themed gaming which lightened down the elements into mission stages , or ‘actor’ led experiences with a very much toned down rule set. The app sends me major alarm bells with just the first mention of needing your own device then the battery issue on top. But then add on that it must be Android (I do understand about other issues of just getting an iOS app up let alone cross platform issues), but having to have the right specifications, possibly certain models etc means quite an expense, and then needing to uninstall / reinstall for a return visit You should be providing these - or even better having less reliance on them per person with an actor led experience and those being the ones carrying the app1 point -

I have not worn a watch this century, and probably not since the late 80s I would wear watches on the inside of my left wrist, but not for the reason @Basersaid - which does make sense. When I was motorcycling the inside left was convenient to look at my watch by moving my wrist and the display would appear from under my glove. (My real reason though was because as a kid I saw someone in a film wear theirs like that so decided it was cool) Since changing to car from bike there would be a clock in the car and whenever I needed to know the time there was a clock around somewhere - (no need to have a thing attached to my wrist - until trying a magnetic band with old age) Nowadays my watch/clock is my phone (I have also used my phone in game) On occasion I’ve had mini watch sized clock faces stuck on a piece of equipment for a timer etc A good old basic watch or a chunky like G Shocks would survive the general vigour of a game1 point

How much gas do i need for a gbbr
Enid_Puceflange reacted to SSPKali for a topic
MWS mags without the “mod” will fire 120 rounds easy. That is normally a 12-14g fill of gas, easy to work out vs the weight of gas in the can. One can will be plenty for a days play, maybe take two if you are worried. Cutting the silver tube down to cram more liquid propane in is a DUMB idea. Pushing o-rings into the fill valve to prevent the “gas leaking out when filling” is a DUMB idea. The Marui engineers are not dumb.1 point -

Meet out first NPC The Trader! The Trader is someone you can interact with for quests and buying or selling items. While almost all friendly and neutral characters can be traded with, a Trader is defined as a character who has items independent of his own inventory. Traders reside in safe areas and can be easily accessed by all STALKERS. A full trader will usually buy and sell a large selection of goods such as Water, Food and Ammunition. Speak to the Trader if you have radiation poisoning. Vodka can heal up to 25% of radiation absorbed.1 point

The spring is there to make sure the nozzle seats against the hop rubber properly, that's all. You can definitely use O-rings but they're less forgiving of any magazine misalignment.1 point

Welcome back! I was away from airsoft for a long time before returning to it. The use of LiPo batteries and MOSFETs was part of the culture shock of returning but I haven't used anything other than LiPos in my AEGs in the past couple of years.1 point

https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/38913-dpd-aeg-bundle That has to be the most expensive Nuprol AEG I've seen. The case won't push the price up that much and the bargain bin mags most certainly won't either.1 point -
You absolutely can run an 11.1v, the aster will take care of the majority of it.1 point
-
11.1v is going to put more strain on the gun and potentially make it break faster. If you want the best trigger response: 11.1V If you want to try to prolong the life of your RIF: 7.4V You've put a fair amount of upgrades into it, and its your only RIF so I would say go for 7.4v. Or potentially buy another RIF as a backup for when you need to repair your primary.1 point

https://specnaarms.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/HAL1_manual_EN-PL.pdf HAL comes shipped in safe mode out of the box, connect the battery with the RIF in safe then wait for 3 seconds (for the beep) and hold the trigger for 5 seconds What did you do to the gearbox exactly? And which model RIF is it?1 point

Yup, it's a common issue. Airsoft "STANAG" mags can have significant differences in dimensions, particularly the location of the feed. For example, one of my Specna mags vs the 'Nam style shortie mags that I use when I'm DMRing. Knowing this, I determined that I needed to add 1mm on the front of the shortie mag with tape/velcro, and as a consequence, shave 0.5mm off the back. Notice that the Specna also has a conical feed lip, while the shortie has a vertical one, so I also gave mine a slight bevel with a dremel. Observe, measure, and modify.1 point

Legit tactic or...
Airsoftt reacted to Cannonfodder for a topic
Imo lobbing something that's not a grenade is a legitimate tactic, however I do agree that he should've used something else rather than your grenade. Pretty much every cqb site I've been to has a rule that you don't pick up other people's grenades. That being said from your post the guy does sound like he's a bit of a bellend1 point -
two problems: a) y'all should give up on the "grenade kills the whole room" or mercy/knife kills altogether. b) whenever those rules are in play, there needs to be a ref/marshal INSIDE the room the pyro is thrown in, otherwise it's the wild west.1 point

The tube exists so you don't overfill it. The better process is to extend the fill valve with 4mm polyurethane tubing (stuff used for pneumatic purposes) and leave the silver tube alone.1 point
