Hi guys, just to let you know there's a new moody scam attempt going on, appearing to target sellers & purporting to be from the forum itself, telling sellers their item has sold & to click on a link within the message to complete the sale. Seems to be originating from Russia, not sure what happens if the link is clicked, probably a trojan horse type virus to mine your info. Don't fall for it, obviously if you get one let us know so we can ban them immediately, here's a screenshot of the kind of text you'll receive:5 points

Hi guys, We're trying to organise a GBB only event at The Gaol Events. It is truly an amazing site. Minimum players required 30, We're trying to get as many players we can. Provisional date is the 21st June. This is a private event only and will require a password to book on. Details will be ironed out as we gather numbers. 👌🏻👍🏻 Feel free to pm me https://discord.gg/dwnQNxVZdb https://chat.whatsapp.com/Hd9rwKMEDQaGSUyGTnvfoE Rules for the events. GBB and NBB only (gas shotguns and MK23s) Extended mags are fine but no drum mags HPA tapped mags are ok, as long as they are the standard capacity for the mag Additionally HPA tapped rifles (such as the VFC M249) will be allowed NO HPA ADAPTORS (just the mags intended for the gun) Spring shotgun allowed as back up. Snipers allowed gas preferred but spring allowed. (Site dependant) To keep to the spirit and nature of owning a GBB were trying to keep this a somewhat tactical game day, so please no speedsoft. Keep in mind if you turn up with nothing but an AEG or any other rif that does not conform to the rules. You will be turned away. If you have any questions feel free to message me.2 points

Making a Hi-Capa Snappier.
MistakenMexican reacted to Chev Chelios for a topic
I would start by shimming the guide rod so the slide has less to travel. If this improves the snappiness remove the shims, chuck a heaver recoil spring in and up the PSI of the gas to something like 220 (Vorsk V12 is nice and dry) and should be gravy.1 point -

It is for sale for a mere £900. https://prefired.co.uk/ads/arc-1-hpa-rifle/1 point -
Tried sixmm.. they wouldn't ever send an order out until being e-mailed multiple times after already waiting 10 days+. Gave up on them, saw some stuff on Shooters Combat Gear that wasn't available elsewhere, order sat unmoving for a week, e-mail, 'it'll dispatch tomorrow', that was a week ago. I'm sticking with WGC in future I reckon.1 point

MAGPUL FURNITURE

As an STR stock enjoyer, you won't fit any half decent battery in the "storage" parts of the stock. As mentioned above you'll be limited to something that fits in the stock tube, additionally, they're like rocking horse poop in the airsoft realm unless you spunk the cash on a real one. The pistol grip...there are some half decent ones by E&C if you can find them in stock, the old PTS Magpul kit is in the realms of scouring ebay as they are LOOONG out of production. The PTS EPG grips are sort of reminiscent of them but they're not really that close. Decent grips though.1 point -
Avoiding a lifestyle that attracts a police raid helps too I had a lot of mine at a mates for sometime (locked up), and the local bobby was warned off to be aware in case an AK47 hit the streets as a result of a burglary I have once had a police stop and opened with telling them what was in my car boot - which turned into an interested positive chat1 point

Tbh my 27yo son has his guns in a locker under his bed, but batteries/gas/BBs are under lock & key in the garage, which in itself has extra security due to my bikes/tools etc being in there. Don't think you can ever be too careful.1 point

VFC LAR / FAL + 8 Mags
KermitTheFud reacted to Kortx for an advert
This advert is COMPLETED!

So I'm selling my Rhodie style FAL as I'm unfortunately getting out of the sport. This has been my main gun for the past few years but has never had any issues running and has alway been serviced after a couple games. All the mags are gas tight and good to go and the gun happily shoots about 60-70 meters on 0.30g bbs. It also has a NPAS installed so you can very the FPS depending on the time of year. But with this being my main gun it has suffed some wear and tear over time the 2 issues it has are - the charging handle has snapped making it a bit harder to cock and the roll pin gor the selector has come our so I'd you try to put the gun in to full auto the detent comes out. I have run the gun with these problems gor about a while now and it has no real affect on the function of the gun. All the parts needed to replace this can ve found on WGC shop but I've never got round to ordering them. I'm looking for about 650 for the gun which I know is less than what these guns normally go for but the lower price reflects the cost of getting the replacement parts. If the buyer cover the PP fees I'm happy to ship for free.£650

I have the HDR50 (and HDR68) It is (they are) fun - I do like revolvers and due to there having been only a couple of old school retail and custom revolvers so when a 3D printed kit came out I converted an airgun to paintball. Then an original old school paintball revolver became available so I bought that too ….. and then Umarex brought out the HDR50 - a non standards paintball calibre and I’d have preferred a 68 version but as there wasn’t I had to have it ….. and then they brought out the HDR68 ….. I do like revolvers and I’ve got quite a few The Umarexs are not adjustable, and as originally produced for ‘Home defence’ they pretty much run as the CO2 12 gram will let them. Two (or three) editions are available in most of the Umarex HDR ranges - the mid or lower power rated ones are the maximum for the UK If used as paintball pistols with frangible paintballs then (under current Home Office guidelines) then they are UK legal up to 12ft lbs If used as air pistols with any other projectiles (rubber balls etc) then they need to be within 6ft lbs My HDR 68 shoots hot on a fresh 12 gram (330fps - which could be within the legal energy limit depending on paintball weight, but well in excess of playable velocity, and dropped to 115fps before drastically falling as it empties) Its not trustworthy enough to be playable (280fps or 280fps would be playable velocity limits), and if loaded with rubber balls etc well exceeds the airpistol limit of 6ft lbs) The HDR50 would be paintball playable depending on site rules, (the lower mass meaning less energy per FPS, but rules are likely to still be 250-280fps) I haven’t noted down my test velocities to be able to say where it would be as an airpistol (Note that the full design standard for paintball goggles not only covers lens impact but also sets that any part of the goggle/any direction of impact is up to 300fps - site insurance will require adhesion to standards, therefore a site that allows lower calibres to use a higher velocity may not be paying attention) @TackleI know that you won’t need to be told, but for the record and any others who read this …… Never have a paintball type gun in an accessible manner with solid projectiles and/or CO2, and especially not in bedside drawers. The police get excited when they find those1 point

Morning. No, not normal. Scam. This site (and prefired, usedairsoft, airsofthub etc) don't have an escrow service so always pay/get paid by the buyer or seller directly.1 point

Thanks mate. Think I may have explained this wrong. So, the gun actually fires. The problem is the bb’s are not feeding in and so they’re not firing out. My son says after inserting the magazine the gun fired one, maybe two bb’s then none. Im thinking it’s something to do with the part I’ve pictured that is at an angle. But need this confirmed if possible.1 point

So he mouthed off big time about how he was a good seller then sent a damaged rif to a buyer? Oh dear. He’s looking great now isn’t he? Glad he refunded.1 point -

Very gas efficient. I went through 8 "Oreos" of BBs and it ran out of CO2 on the 9th. I was able to lift 0.28g BBs on a 20m range when I tweaked the hop-up. Apparently with Gen 1, you will struggle to lift more than 0.25g to the same distance.1 point

MAGPUL FURNITURE
Galvatron reacted to JimFromHorsham for a topic
Battery will need to go in the stock tube with whatever Magpul stock you decide on , unless you get creative and start modifying things . a standard MOE grip will not fit , due to the motor arrangement and fixing points , you’d be better off with an AEG specific PTS grip .1 point -
Even if it wasn't damaged prior to shipping, the seller has a contract with whoever he shipped it with, it's his responsibility to initiate a claim with them. In turn, you need to start a dispute with PayPal to get your money back, or an agreed partial refund. So you may need to return it, but whatever happens never stop the dispute until it's completely resolved & the moneys in your bank.1 point

Another set of non compliant goggles / eye protection identified by site staff I know that I’m preaching to the converted, but keep your eyes out for new players with their ‘nice cheap’ Temu/AliExpress/eBay goggles Observant site staff noted these ones https://www.facebook.com/share/12CBYwpEZa8/?mibextid=WC7FNe1 point

Looking for thoughts from people.. Purchased Glock 17 gen 5 from forum. It’s arrived and it’s damaged (see pictures)seller is saying it wasn’t damaged prior to sending so refusing to refund. cant check the original add as its been taken down and owner said he doesn’t have the pictures he took for the advert. anyway this can be reviewed by an admin as there will be a lot of all posts with pictures etc. should seller refund or is this now my risk as he’s saying I could of dropped it? kept sellers name out for now as only fair. he did say I could return it but now saying he won’t.
