I think it's more of an issue with footfall in bricks and mortar stores, people generally having less expendable income etc. Plus I'm sure in the case of A2 at least, business rates are probably horrific being in Reading!

This is the main reason why RAF Wittering is still around, AFAIK there is a term in the original lease that the land has to be returned to its original state. Which is kinda hard given the munitions buried on site after the war.....A lot of ex military bases are like this.

I've bought from them a few times and they've been so good to deal with. I sent an e-mail about ticking the wrong box on the order and they said it was fine, no mention about pricing or anything. Very happy now. It's been swapped to front wired and put a folding stock on it. Tomorrow i'll fit the new barrel and hop rubber. 7 new guns have arrived this week, so Sunday's game is gonna have many choices!

In addition to Lozart's points about the lack of footfall in bricks & mortar stores and business rates, leasing costs can become prohibitively expensive, which has crippled much of the retail industry. It's also worth taking into consideration the factor of showrooming people where may actually go in store to handle the RIFs or accessories in person but then buy online from a web-only retailer who undercuts the store they visited.
