Like with my theory, auto would work because it's free to cycle, in semi the semi auto cut off lever would jump the trolley back over the trigger and get stuck2 points -

Currently those cases are on offer for £52 which means they’re about £67 after taxes are added. Which is a great price 😁 just consider, IF they were to sell them at full price for £90 (plus taxes), there’s a British shop that sells pre-cut pistol hard cases for £85. The case shop do MAX cases with pre cut foam for £85 and I think shipping is free (?) at least it was when I bought one2 points -

ARCHWICK L119A2 MWS GBBR A superbly built CNC replica of the L119A2. The monolithic upper is made from CNC 6061 T6 Billet aluminium and the lower from 7075 CNC T7 Aluminium. Full details of this RIF can be seen on the factory site at: https://www.arch-wick.com/gbbr-colt-canada-l119a2 These cost between £1750 and £1800 for the basic rifle in the UK. It comes with Guns Modify internals - trigger box, buffer, bolt carrier and an upgraded nozzle for green gas as standard, and the barrel is a stainless steel 6.03mm 270mm tight bore. Intenal upgrades are: Laylax hop unit, PSIONC hop rubber from Eagle 6 (very good), Omega nub. A Guns Modify fine tune adjustment wheel for the hop adjuster - precise no movement hopping. It has a RATECH NPAS with adjusting tool. It comes with a barrel nut tool. Two magazines. Original instructions. A hard case internally cut for the rifle and two mags. It has had the selector modified for semi auto only as I used this as a DMR or for CQB - so always semi. An extra full auto selector is included (non ambi). External upgrades are: Magpul CTR stock with extended buttpad, Magpul AFG, Angry Gun 3-prong flash hider with trade marks, and Angry Gun suppressor. The orginal 3-prong flash hider is included. This rifle is very accurate, and easily hops 0.45s to a great distance. Well looked after with light use. I am only selling as I have big collection which needs to get smaller. Having bought an HAO MWS 416, this rifle has been rarely used, and needs a new home. The chrono picture shows it shooting at 1.8J on 0.40s at 13 degrees C on green gas. You are welcome to test fire on my 25m range at home, or it can be shipped insured via Parcel Force.£1,200

Your all laughing, but spare a thought for my old manager at FedEx, his parents saddled him with the moniker Dick Swallow, that's some straight up evil/naive shit 🤣1 point

It's still the stock one! It was purely down to the standard JG hop unit being 0.5mm off spec.1 point

Ding ding ding, we have a winner That's the joy of mechanical trigger contacts and no "controller" in the gearbox that has optical sensors for the sector gear. Controllers, optical sensors, and "cycle control" make life so much easier.1 point -

Look at the cut off lever and fire selector plate. These together with the trigger trolley allow single fire. Otherwise you'd get auto all the time. The receiver can pinch both the fire selector plate and the cut off lever. Is the fire selector controller installed with the receiver?1 point -

Case is applying pressure to the trigger unit casing it to not function, the trigger might still feel like it's doing something because it's using the tension from the trigger spring itself but not actually pushing the trolley in1 point -

I was in the Z1 showroom a couple of months ago (i'm relatively local) - midday on a Saturday. And I was the only customer. Spent 45min in the shop chatting with Alex - no one else came in during that time. I also noticed that they were also renting out parts of their unit (downstairs) to another company. Never a good sign as that was part of their huge warehouse. I think that people forget that Z1 was one of the very first UK online Airsoft retailers. I remember looking at their website as far back as 1999/2000 on the college PCs wishing I had the money to buy to put together a metal body TM build from parts. They had some cool shit in stock back in those days. Sad to see the retail side of things go - but such is life.1 point -
It's a shame to see any retailer go that's been around for as long as they have, but they chose to invest a hefty chunk in a new showroom at just the wrong time. Add to that the location not being cheap and airsoft being rather a luxury, the current economic climate was sure to have an effect sooner or later. To be perfectly honest I was more upset when ProAirsoft shut down.1 point

Yep, business rates/rents etc are crippling most walk in stores, irrespective of the products they sell, add to that the rising stock costs means most businesses are walking a tightrope in fear of the next setback, I wonder how many heard the gloom predictions regarding the next budget & are literally thinking "should I jump before I'm pushed ?". The other big issue is t'internet, we're now the generation to learn about the must have airsoft stuff via it, we then scour it for availability & best prices, & if a retailer wants us to buy from them, their having to virtually shoot themselves in the foot financially to get the sales. It's a sorry state of affairs🙁1 point

Oh how I hate cases as I have been through a number of them trying to find the right combination, Cinderella had it easy! Would highly recommend the nuprol line if cases, nice value and quality and eggshell foam as it's just more versatile though doesn't look as good. I like to use a couple of 2" velcro strips to secure the foam into the cases. Not had it come away before and allows you to remove as needed (I store cleaning rods behind mine). For pnp foam I would suggest a can of plasti dip to toughen it up. The shadow foam is pretty neat, a bit more tricky to get set up but will be nicer than pnp foam. The base fitted nuprol case perfectly but the lid was off and eventually just chucked it and kept eggshell for that bit. If you want a custom style case & still want the ability to change it now and again then you really need to go with the magpul daka system, either in a pelican vault or magpul daka case. Let's you play around with it and reconfigure it in a few minutes. Downside is the sheer cost of it, essentially looking at £500 per case, but allows you to store and travel with changing load outs. I did have a look at retrofitting it into a nuprol case but would require silly levels if modification and unlikely to fit well-just need a company to mimic it 🙄 The Shadow foam in nuprol case, completed layout (top foam removed in the end) Pelican vault with Daka insert (this pic was taken after I got it and not finished at time of picture)1 point -
