  3. Hey guys, came across this thread when I asked an airsoft WhatsApp group I was in what they thought about Xtreme Tactical as I was about to place a pre-order and heard some worrying comments then was eventually directed to this thread. I'm here to speak in defence of Xtreme Tactical with no affiliation to them, but simply a customer of theirs since they were Rifle Optics UK on eBay and more recently Xtreme Tactical in their own store. 2016 July: Elcan Spectre FDE for 7.62 from Rifle Optics UK on eBay. 2016 November: Eotech branded handheld thermal sight X320 from Rifle Optics UK on eBay. 2024 June: Holosun 509T in FDE from Xtreme Tactical from their site 2024 July: SIG Romeo X Pro FDE (Released a month ago, which the owner listed on their site within a few days at my request, received just under 2 weeks later) I have had nothing but good experience, these optics are all difficult to source even with other sites which I buy from often, such as TacticalKit or Uttings. Prices have been within market range and they are also VAT registered for those this is relevant to. I can't speak for the way the owner behaved or how it "got personal" given none of the exchange were made public by either party, if you are a legitimate shop that deals in genuine optics and accessories, which in my experience Rifle Optics / Xtreme Tactical proved to be, being called out by someone who isn't a customer of yours that you are a fraud is understandably frustrating to say the least, especially when the accusation seems mostly from observing screenshots and markings, which any collector of real optics can tell you, markings can change even for the same model between batches, and just because something is real and costs a lot, does not make them immune to bad QC (I've had to exchange the Trijicon SRO with Beechwood due to visible glue residue in the diode lens reflecting through the sight picture, every one of my Eotech has delaminated and I own Surefire(s) with at least three different type of markings). I can however speak to my experience as a customer, every one of these purchases have been dealt with swiftly, shipped within the stated time windows, there were no troubles with customs as they were shipped from the UK, and the products were as advertised (i.e. genuine). I'm going out of my way to do this because it felt like the dogpile was unfair, as an optics and accessories collector in the UK and a happy customer, the service Xtreme Tactical offers is rare, hate to see the attacks against them go unchallenged.

  4. Your first sentence is pretty much why putting a list together as the second sentence is impracticable. A ranking system can age like milk as new models at a given price range enter the market. Especially today when what were considered premium feature sets such as programmable MOSFETs/ETUs, 6.02mm (for argument's sake) inner barrels etc, can be seen in the sub-200 GBP price range now, rankings can quickly become skewed or outdated.

  5. cheers and good info , im also well versed in sales , I don’t sell to anyone and everyone , the item was only just over £20 including the shipping , was a signed for service and to someone with a lot of forum activity . just one of those things , I’m quite lucky in that I don’t sell for any other reason other than to clear space and free up funds for more shite I don’t need ? At the end of last month I went to an airsoft carboot , nice and easy , you see it you buy it , I hand it over . That for me will be the bulk of my airsoft sales moving forward .

Haha, yes I'm well versed in this, learnt the hard way...Just some tips here: - Always use the RM service that covers the value. Tracked 24 is £150, Signed For £50, Normal 1st/2nd £20 - If you can use their new Tracked 24/48 service as it's given priority and only a few pence more. Signed For is an old product. Tracked 24 will let you know which depot its been to etc. - Never refund unless the 10 business days are up (or it's a low value etc) - worth explaining to the buyer that's their policy before agreeing sale. - Take photo of contents and package before shipping - In the event of a claim always keep all correspondence and proof of the value of the item (this can be hard.) - Order online via RM website and they'll pickup for free and provide label if needed.

I think it's a lesson in not penny pinching. The only times I use Evri is if it's a service provided by a seller for returns (like Amazon). Pay the extra 50p. As far as refunds go, pay up and claim it back. It's your responsibility until the customer receives it.

  10. Dodgy delivery is the seller's problem, refund the buyer first and then handle your business if you know that the package is lost

  11. They're German para boots. You're right that it could've been on there before getting to the shop but the ink looked quite fresh. Luckily the hand sanitiser has done the job after a few more tries

  13. Don't worry, I've got plenty of that stuff. The trouble is that sometimes the ink can still be visible through the polish so it really needs to be removed. I tried a wet cloth but that did nothing so tried alcohol based hand sanitiser and that started to take it off very slowly. Yes this is only a minor issue that can be sorted relatively easily, but what annoyed me is that it didn't need to happen at all if the shop staff had used a little common sense.

  14. A new pair of boots from Militarymart. Unfortunately some absolute muppet decided the best way to mark the size of said boots is to write it on the top of the toe in white marker pen.

  15. Only ever had sales problems with airsofters tbh , I think the shithead - good guy ratio is massively unbalanced . I’ve been buying and selling for well over 20yrs now , Arnies , UKAZ , Zeroin , here , as well as eBay , Airgun forums , knife forums and Instagram . It’s always airsoft related stuff that crops up . last one was on here fairly recently , sent an item RM signed for , no updates to it , buyer waits , which I was thankful for .after a week I just issue a refund and say if it arrives just let me know. Nothing . two weeks later I just randomly checked the parcel status , signed for and collected at depot … buyer ? Wasnt me mate ?.

  16. Welcome Fafor, To be honest, your probably better off buying in the cheaper ranges, but that doesn't mean it'll be rubbish, far from it in fact, brands like cyma & JG have great reputations, big ranges to choose from, & luckily for you some excellent retailers virtually on your doorstep. With your budget why not buy 2, everyone needs a back up, & don't be thinking about upgrades yet, most brands are more than adequate straight out of the box, if fps/range/accuracy is fair to good, then what more do you need, maybe then only think about upgrades if something breaks. Next choice is what models to choose, I always that think 2 with magazine compatibility should be considered, makes life much easier if you find yourself dashing back to the safezone mid game to swap guns, but if AK's are your thing you might feel a little bit limited, to me they all look alike lol, so maybe consider a long model & a short model, gives better options for cqb sites etc. Alternatively consider an armalite model, m4 derivative of which there are hundreds (or so it would seem), but being stanag mags you could get another m4 model, or maybe consider a bullpup such as an L85, a tavor, an fn2000/fn2010, an fnc, a G36 with a maxwell conversion, probably even more that I've forgotten about, the choices are endless. Good luck with what you choose.

  17. 100% this ^^^ If you are penny pinching by sending by Evri etc, and it goes missing, cough up a refund to the buyer. Ive only had one slight issue using RM where the barcode sticker came off the parcel whilst being handled through their system Buyer was patient as I had to collect the item from the depot and re send it I ALWAYS put my details on the back of a parcel to make sure somebody gets it eventually ?

  18. This. Iirc under UK distance selling laws the seller is responsible for the parcel right up till it's in the buyer's hands. If a seller is holding on to someone's money and delaying giving a refund then any negative feedback is deserved
