  3. it's fine to paint it if you have a defence to the VCRA (UKARA etc). It's a RIF with a silver slide and it will still be a RIF if you paint it black.

  13. Maple Leaf rubbers, yes. 60 or even 50 for 1.1J. Personally I'm not hugely sold on the omega nubs, but plenty of folk love them, and Gear Parts do a knock-off for a lot less. Prowin, nah, ZCI plastic rotary hops do a great job for a tenner. Sadly, some YouTube celeb bought up most of the UK stock a while back and they're still hard to find. Barrels, I've never spunked Prometheus money on one, I'm fine with ZCI and AOLS which perform well enough. I don't know how "precise" that CYMA is, but all airsoft QC is essentially random anyway. There's no right or wrong answer, or a magical way to get more than a few metres of effective range, it's all about what makes you feel good.

  17. ☝🏻This. Most LiPos are designed to retain optimal performance around 70-80%, when you store them at this level. Unless you want to decommission your battery, I suggest you keep some juice in it between games, and charge them fully before each game. This should give you the best compromise without consciously trying to “optimise my battery’s life at the cost of being constantly on edge.” Average lifespan of a lipo is about 3-4 years, depending on the storage conditions and number of cycles put through it. Some will start to puff a few charging cycles in (like shitty Nuprol ones) or it may last you 5 years when on good terms. I recently had to buy a spare one and realised my current mini-stick has been with me through 4 years and my charger shows me still about 85% capacity available. So yeah, don’t waste time on magic tricks and keep it simple. Unless you go through batteries like tea or coffee, then there’s no point in overkill. Also, invest in a really good charger. ISDT does marvellous gear for RC/Airsoft. Exactly. If you were to fork out £6k for a battery replacement (cheapest battery for Renault Zoe), or £12k (BMW i3), or just scrap your car because fuck paying £30k for a replacement (Tesla), you’d think about charging cycles. Paying £20 for a good RC battery once every few years is par for the course, so don’t sweat it.

    Motor Lead Repair

Them feels. The bend that we have to put in them does tend to weaken them. They're 2.8mm spade connectors if you need to ask or order. I'd avoid "fully insulated" ones as they tend to have a hard sleeve that you'll have to remove anyway and replace with heatshrink.

Can not go wrong with a g-shock. Highly recommend one with solar charging, never worry about the battery. And my batman too. But I don't think I'll go airsofting with that 😂

  21. Yep it's deliberate all right. 1) Certain elements of industry with unsustainable/unrealistic business models are unhappy that their support of endless cheap labour has been staved off. E.g. the haulage industry (driven by the likes of Hoyer). Therefore the present manufactured "crisis" has been weaponised in an attempt to force a change in policy. 2) Government fuck-ups in all areas of life due to genuine catastrophic bungling incompetence having a knock-on affect in... all areas of life. 3) China wants to rule the world. 4) The media craving to make news and policy rather than just report it.

  22. Has been this way for a while. Blame Covid (or rather, the way its been handled). Turns out shutting the world down for inordinate open ended periods has repercussions. Next shyttshow; lack of HGV drivers. Supply problems for food and now fuel. Of course there's plenty to go round, but the Daily Mail are now whooping up the population into panic buying as they're convinced we are repeating the 1970s again. Worrying about lack of cheap airsoft guns in stock may be the least of our worries.
