Maybe a bit peripheral, but might be of interest: In that middle bit of Lidl where they stick all the weird random stuff that doesn't 'fit' anywhere else, I found yesterday 500ml rattle cans of what they call 'satin matte' or 'chalkboard' spray paint at £4.99 a pop. Pretty reasonable when you consider, for example, Humbrol acrylic spray costs more than that for half as much paint. Just how 'matt' these are I can't say - but it certainly isn't gloss paint! Various colours available; probably of most interest to folk on here is the olive green. Though looks more like a mid camouflage green rather than olive (which I'd say should properly be more on the brown side of green) to me. Anyway, might come in handy for any camo paint projects that people have got on the go - just thought I'd flag it.

Ladies & Gents, as it has been suggested by several people and requested several times recently, I have decided to create a new Quick Questions thread. We have two threads previously like this, but I've decided to make a new one with a little more structure. When you ask a question please do so using red writing that way, it's easy for people scrolling down to find a question. When you answer a question, please quote (this will make sure the person gets a notification and they can click on it to open your answer straight away and it also lets people answer questions from a while ago if there have been new questions since then) the question and reply in blue writing so we know it's an answer. If you feel a question simply cannot be answered in one brief post, or is open for a lot of debate, create a thread to discuss it, and link the thread in your answer so everyone can find it. This should keep it clear what's what. Thread will be periodically preened and cleaned, and I may, if the whim takes me, create a section in this post with all the questions and the best answers in expandable boxes so everyone can see them forever and ever and ever. If your question or answer don't follow the requested template, I will either fix them if I like you, or delete them if I don't because no-one should have any difficulty getting it right after the first couple of attempts. Alright, the kit is complete: Weighs in at 2288g which is decent. 2530g with the red dot and riser though, which is rather alarming at how heavy optics are. I'll probably remove the silencer and fit a shorter noveske kx3 style comp or something to reduce the length. Few issues though: The trigger is very mushy and hard to spam next shot quickly. The trigger works by a very long bar that goes all the way to the back. I'll need to shim it with tape to make it crisper as there's a lot of play. Stock internals, it is deafening. I'm not going to use something that'll destroy my right ear; I still value my 21kHz hearing range. There are definitely solutions and I'll look them up. Hopefully the lower fps and rogueworx solution will solve it. If not, I genuinely might have to look at another kit.
