.22 Pistol NRA/BASC supported PETITION!
rexfan10 reacted to Henry Wisdom for a topic
Hi guy's https://submissions.epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/62588 Please take a look at this petition. At the end of the day we are all 'shooters' and all have an interest in guns. Whether you shoot real steel or not, please don't repeat our past and not support other shooters out there because it doesn't affect you. After all, we own the very existence of Airsoft to 'real steel' so please continue to support it's existence in civilian life and fun pass times. An example for why I am signing... Even though I am soon to bunk off to the Channel Islands, to take up disciplines I am deprived of on the mainland. Whether this petition passes or fails is irrelevant to me come a few weeks from now. I won't just be shooting .22 pistol, but centrefire calibres in both Handguns and semi-automatic rifles. I am still wanting to support my fellow Brits persisting with their shooting on the mainland however. This is a petition to legalise .22 pistols. It has received the backing of big shooting organisations such as BASC and the UK NRA. This petition was started by Firearms UK. Firearms UK have bought a tonne of posters advertising this petition. If you would like any and have suitable locations to pin them up that will attract attention, please contact Erika Sykes (member of Firearms UK) and state how many you would like and where you would like them posted to. Posters and postage are free. Erika Sykes email: [email protected] Firearms UK Website Address: http://firearmsuk.org/ Petition: https://submissions.epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/625881 point -

Yeah I'd say that's reasonable, the screws are quite easy to get hold of for buyers too. Yeah about £140 seems fair1 point -
What bbs?
Airsoft_Mr B reacted to Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies for a topic
Blaster .30gs. Very consistant BBs. I am a bit concerned for some visible mold lines but according to a micrometer they are very consistant,Most around 5.95-5.98mm range, which, although not as good as Devil .28s which I've averaged at round 5.95-5.96 is decent enough. Not a single air bubble to be seen and the casting looks very good. I'm making very tight groupings at 35m,about 14x15cm,hitting a man size target easily at 50m and able to git a cherry tomato at 15m. Note, this is after washing them thoroughly. When comparing washed to unwashed they feel noticeably more greasy, and reek of mold release agent. Recommend washing them. Blaster Devil .28s are not as greasy and do not reek as badly. Pretty okay price at 17 euro a bottle.1 point -

Indeed. A lot of the pistols sold for Airsoft are also available in .177 calibre as Gas Pistols firing steel balls. You can buy them without a defence and no two tone over the counter1 point -

Let us know how you get on with it mate - I'm thinking of getting one later on in the year so some feedback on here would appreciated. P.s. You can also buy an air rifle without the hassle you get buying a RIF lol1 point -

After a hassle getting hold of an OHSIBOOM I stumbled across this beauty, a bit more money but much, much nicer. It's amazing how I can't buy a RIF, but can buy a blank firing grenade.1 point -

Blasters, preferably Blaster Devils for me. I have heard good things about the G&Gs though.1 point -
Thanks mate. Bit small, but still tempting... Had to buy an Element M95 spring because my Falcon 6.03x455mm barrel is giving Morena an average 361.4FPS (with hop on) from her Guarder SP100 spring, but fliers up to 374... :gulp: My plan had been to leave her as stock, to see how long she would last and what would break first when running an 11.1V LiPo, but I'm going to have to do something about that degree of inconsistency. I already have an ali air nozzle that had been for another proj - so I've ordered an SHS V3 spring guide - that and the M95 from Bullseye Country Sport (inc 10% UKAPU discount) £20.23 posted <- can't recommend them enough1 point

Coyote shirt and tan rig arrived (I know they don't match, that's the point ) next up on the list is some CB or desert tigerstripe trousers, a CB scrim scarf and some tan gloves. They were out of stock when I ordered the scarf so it'll wait until I get the other stuff. Quick pic of upper layers of each loadout:1 point -

Buying a gun with a friends UKARA defence?
Airsoft_Mr B reacted to Mr Monkey Nuts for a topic
It's three games in no less than 2 months. So on the 56th day your name can be added to the database and you can buy a "RIF" If you are to play at a regular site that has an affiliation with a shop, ie patrol base, zero one, JD et al. They may have annarrangement where you may purchase the gun but they hold it on site for 56 days. But obviously you are limited to only that site. In reality it's only two months, save some pocket money and rent a gun till you have a UKARA.1 point -

Easter free shipping on Xfire? Nice nice nice. Cheers for the heads up. Defiantly going to stock up some W holds and other VSR parts, I might actually have some money left over from a gun job and the remains of the hicapa fund to pay the stuff. Free shipping is always nice. I like Xfire's ordering system, makes sure everything is double double checked so you can get it. Their customer service is pretty good too. They just need to hire a proper English speaker though, however the Nipponish is readable enough albeit hilarious.1 point -

Decent Chrono advice please.
Ian_Gere reacted to Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies for a topic
Madbulls are friggin dodgy. Chrono'd my gun at the local shop and it kept spitting out 234.9FPS over and over again. Took it to bellurgan park today and got a solid 278-280 and then it started spitting out 240 again. Meanwhile with a mate's Xcortech X3200 it was giving me a consistant 290FPS. Xcortechs seem to give the most accurate readings. Avoid madbull ones.1 point
