What have you made?

Got a bit fed up waiting for the resin delivery and used some cam tape. Will remove and finish all black eventually.

Hopefully the longer curved pistol grip allows smoother cocking and takes the jerking motion off my wrist, need that for… “other things”….IMG_3865.thumb.jpeg.dfeceded7dd18463da641be9969c667d.jpeg

The amount of stuff I've made now is quite long, currently working on a more effective target box the amazon box stuff with rag is getting a little beat up lol.

Sheet contsruction with a replacable A4 target sheet at the front, angle back should deflect any bbs that make it through PVC curtain strips i'll afix to the top plate and foam in the bottom tray should work, I'll let everyone know how it goes :).

Looks really good - I've long been planning to make something similar. Is yours to be made from sheet metal? Mine is more likely to be an MDF creation.

Yeah all sheet metal, riveted except for one side which will be bolted for access, I've got a laser cutter so easier to do things out of metal :), MDF would probably help to be less noisy if any hit the sides though.

Playing about mounting my Kywi pouches with 1” velcro one-wrap and with some off cut paracord made this quick access TQ* mount. Pull down on the red handle and it is instantly accessible.

Probably 1001 things you can do with one-wrap, need to order a big roll as so handy for strap / cable management.

*don’t buy knock off TQs unelss you clearly mark them FAKE. If you carry a real one get some basic first aid training (hint: very little of it involves tourniquets!)

Put some of that sticky car sound deadening stuff inside it, that'd be awesome at shutting it up. :)

Spent a couple of hours “crafting” an adapter out of steel scaffold pipe to allow my SF-DI to accept 12g booms as well as the primer charges

Shall find out on Sunday if it’s a success 😂

Yeah, I will literally be throwing caution to the wind

but in a safe controlled manner

it’s just a shim in a stainless body, I can’t find the manufacturers one for sale anywhere

But point taken, I’ll maybe just use them in the Dynatex which is designed for the 12G’s🙃

I'm just kidding, give it a try a few times in a safe area before game on, I'm sure it'll be fine.

Im sure it would be, the base that holds the charges is far more substantially made than the Dynatex loading cap

The insert is a steel tube that slips into the stainless base of the SF-DI

But as it’d be getting rolled towards someone….. “Safety First”

At least it consumed a couple of hours today, a nice distraction 😂

Actual shotgun barrels that fire shot down them can, comparatively, be notoriously weak when put up against any pistol or rifle barrel; just blasting airsoft grade blanks shouldn't really test any steel that's not just chinese factory floor scrapings mushed together.

Finally started a Crye MR-C build. I've been wanting to make one of these ever since GRAW came out on the Xbox 360 - 3D printing (and affordable design software) is now making happen after being on the back-burner for over a decade.

It's just a wall-hanger/prop. Maybe one day I'll make a functional Airsoft gun but I'm not too bothered on that front.

Still have a good dozen hours of printing, then numerous more hours of sanding, filling and painting.

Stitch bitches should note this takes design elements from the two mock-ups I have found in my searches, and Crye's own low-res 3d renderings (they all differ slightly), along with some small creative liberties taken on my part (i.e trigger and ambi fire selector).

The MR-C is structurally complete. Just needs filling, sanding, filling, sanding...etc...then eventually painting.
