Another package arrived today and for the first time in a while it wasn't Airsoft related. I decided to take up Axe throwing during this lock down and I have to say there is nothing more satisfying than lobbing an axe around your garden.

BFG Stuff. Primers etc. What are these things and what do I need to use them? Been given a bunch of these things but have no idea how they work, or what they work in.
Anyone help?

BFGs are best for CQB really, woodland not so much unless its timed, but then you have the big risk of losing it in the undergrowth/mud etc . so personally @Asomodai I would suggest not getting one if you havent used and have no desire to field one. I know you dont like CQB much.
Bring the smaller ones to our next game, I will take them off your hands

My Parcel from SurplusStore has gone missing. Was apparently signed for today at 1:30pm with my last name (CoronaVirus rules). But I didn't get a knock at the door or notification. My work desk windows looks out at the front of the house. Didn't see anyone drop anything off, or take anything from my door for that matter.

Probably thought WTF is this stuff and best to give it to you. If it had been something normal you likely never would have seen them.
I bought a RIF once and the seller put the wrong house number on the package, luckily they were not in and it went to the collection office and I managed to get to it before they did. I can only imagine their faces if it had got to them and they opened it
They wouldnt have known who it was for either so I got very lucky. But I still laugh at some little old lady opening up an M4.

the boredom is definately starting to become a thing, contemplating trying to minimise gear noise on the aksu, it's not like i don't have quiet guns either.....

I decided to write this out. I know that this might be an unpopular stance, but I'm not going to change my opinions just because it's unpopular. Airsoft sniping has definitely become more widespread and accessible since I started the hobby, that's for sure, but I'm not sure if I like that or not.

I can see the appeal for some people, but sniping is not for everyone. I had a go on my mates (shitty stock) sniper with a sight on it like the hubble telescope and hated it, I could see the other side of the site through this thing but couldnt hit anyone as the scope outranged the gun
I was frustrated and went back to playing sneaky sniper hunter instead which was more fun imo.
I do appreciate a nice sniper rifle though and am drawn to them so maybe one day I will pick one up, but having no desire or ability to tech or upgrade it myself I also feel I wont. Who knows
A decent article though and I agree and again its mostly why I wont buy a sniper rifle, a DMR on the other hand, your right. You can match or get near as dammit to sniper range in a well put together gun with semi auto and if used right can dominate an area must like a couple of snipers could and im ny opinion would be a more fun way to play.
Nothing beats sneaking up on people using a SMG though

Newbie Suppressor question. Many suppressors for Airsoft call themselves "Fake Suppressors" Is this because they don't actually suppress sound or because they are not used on real firearms?
Reason I ask is that I want to get a suppressor for my bolt action to help dampen the sound somewhat. The only suppressor I own is just an empty metal case and I am unsure if this is what is meant by a "Fake" supressor" Do any suppressors work? -

Used my TM DOR Hicapa for the first time on the weekend. My first Hi Capa. My word what a great pistol! Even on such a cold day it got through the whole mag despite dumping all the bbs in quick succession with still some gas left over. Better range and accuracy then my A&K LMG.
I do still prefer my Strike Warrior 1911 for Trigger response, but the Hi Capa is a better all rounder.
Hope I wont be too dissapointed with my Gold Match when I eventually field that! -

Send them to me, I will act as a middle man. You can both buy your guns back when I list them after running them into the ground at a skirmish
There is a (some say pretty decent, but it also has a shitty reputation) website for this for rare trainers, streetwear bits and designer stuff (bags, watches etc) they act as a middle man but also authenticate items to stop dodgy dealings. For the most part it works well, I know it makes a shit load of money. Shame airsoft is not big enough in the UK for this to be a good enough model and for me to make some money from it!!

I have some sad news...
Spoke to an old friend of mine yesterday and we always used to love the look of airsoft but never actually went (I started going after falling out of contact with him). After a bit of catching up he mentioned that him and his brother and all their mates have since got into paintball... F 😥
Made sure to tell him it was the lesser sport.
He also mentioned about how much kit they had all bought during which he said something along the lines of "spent £1,500 on paintballs between us" and IIRC that got them around 17,500 balls... If ever we needed a better argument for airsoft 😂
