  1. Yea, some barrel wobble is OK, I can do the same if the slide is back.
  2. I don't think "Just because it hasn't been done, doesn't mean it shouldn't" applies here...
  3. Well, now that my CQB loadout is almost complete, here are a few pics of me running my training course in my backyard. I wrote alot, so feel free to just skip to the pics. 4. That was actually very well written, and if they feel the need to respond, they may be able to help sort you out.
  5. Just wait for one of the addicts or mods to come along, they know all the ins and outs of UKARA, of which there are plenty.
  6. Alrighty, this isn't really bought, more like gifted... Just confirmed the items Bill Rogers is going to bring over next week. 7. Do you have a mate you could leave your guns with, come here, get your UKARA number, and then have him ship them here? Just a thought, more experienced people than me will come along soon and be able to give you better answers than that.
  8. I can imagine them coming up on someone who has taken disarmament courses and flips the gun on them... That would be funny
  9. Yep, I've got a mixture of gas, from 144a to green gas all the way up to WE Nuprol black gas (not really sure why I bought it, thought it might make my 40mms work better). I'll be using it as my primary at my demo/testing of the Safariland 578 ProFit holsters (which I just confirmed the ones I want Bill Rogers to bring across the pond), so I'll have a better idea of its specs then. I will tell you; it's really fun to shoot. Did you get the one with the QD silencer and kydex mount, or just the gun?
  10. Yes, I had. Reforming the o-ring worked on one, so now I've got three working mags, so 3 outta 4 ain't bad. I'll keep fiddling with the last one, but does anyone know where to get TM mp7 o-rings?
  11. No, it's an immediate vent. I know about the 144a gas, got a can myself.
  12. When it comes to gas mags, I've fixed plenty of GBB WE pistol mags. Turns out two aren't actually leaking; TM doesn't use a silent fill valve, so it seems like the mags are venting, but they aren't. But two ARE leaking, and I've tried rotating the o-rings 90 degrees, soaking them in warm water, and many coats of silicon grease. Overnight, I removed the two o-rings and put them over the back of a screwdriver to try to reform them to circle; I'll see how that does in a bit.
  13. I have a feeling that I may be lynched for posting this in here... But I've never had a problem with him. Bought an mp40 from him, and had none of this drama...
  14. Ok on the internals, and for gas I am using either Abbey gas, but most probably WE green gas. If I should be using something else then I can get it; however all four mags are leaking right now so gas isn't my biggest concern ATM.
  15. Hello all I just nabbed myself a TM MP7 GBB. I have four mags for it as well. I also have just over 1 week until Bill Rogers comes across the pond. I wish to impress him with this MP7, but am unsure about what to do. I get the whole "isnt broke dont fix" thing, so I am mainly looking at externals. I got a sling, silencer, and mount for it, but, as I will be using it at the Mall, I could do with a good pressure torch and maybe a sight. i have seen Eotechs on mp7s and like those. Any advice? Should I touch the internals?
  16. IDK, I kinda just threw out a number. Havent had to buy bbs in around a year.
  17. Ok, where'd you get the firepig? Kinda wanted a device to louden my guns, and you seem to like yours.
  18. Lol, I'm up as well, but if I work on guns at this time the others in the house will use them on me...
  19. Haha, rounds are nothing like paintball. It costs quite abit for paintballs; bbs are much cheaper. You can get around 5000 bbs for around £24, I believe. Haven't bought ammo in forever due to buying bulk, but it should be about that. Also, some sites have a range of guns to rent on a first come first serve basis, but others stick with either M4s or G36s.
  20. Easy, get a rubber knife . Nothing more fun that entering a room, figuring out there are enemies in there who haven't noticed you, and individually knifing that all . In terms of silent guns, foam-lined suppressor a work abit; the one I have in my M4 brings down the noise from the gearbox a tad, but you are gonna have a hard time finding a way to silence a gun... Unless you like throwing bbs, that's pretty quiet (jk).
  21. And yes, Mack, thanks for clearing that up
  22. Before you can buy an RIF, yes, as Mack says. Reading my previous post back it does seem to give that impression of 6 months. You can buy kit and such before that, just not non-two tone guns. I know 6 months can seem like awhile, but if you are smart (unlike a lot of us on this forum when we were new) you will resist the urge to buy a two tone gun, and spend time learning about the guns and retailers, both online and at your games. Feel free to talk to people at your site as well, most people are happy to show off their stuff. I don't know that site, but probably tomorrow someone will come along and give their thoughts on it. Alternatively, there is a 'sites' section of this forum, you could see if anyone has reviewed it there.
  23. To get registered, you must attend at least three airsoft events, and these events must not be closer than two months, but within a year as well. So you could get it in six months if you want. Buying RIFs secondhand is a touchy subject (all I've ever done ), as it is then dependent on the seller to accept whatever defence you have. Mines rather good, as I have been to The Mall four times now, have video footage of three of those days, have receipts from those days, I know the staff, and have others on this forum and others to back me. For you, you still would need to attend a few games before you would have a suitable defence, and by then you could have your UKARA registration number anyway. Once you got your number, then give that to whoever you want to buy from, whether a retailer or a person on here, and they will sell you just about anything.
  24. New soldering kit (not really airsoft, but I will use it for AEG wiring, so...). TM MP7 GBB, QD suppressor for mp7, kydex mount for TM MP7, 3 spare mags. All thanks to Hef.
