  1. Looks like it could be Serpa, doesn't look like Safariland
  2. Alrighty mate, well, if those are you favs, then the G36 will be cheapest for ya. I love Tars as well, saving for one now (even though I just bought an MP7 and may be moving in a few months... A big thing to keep in mind; until you get registered with UKARA (oh no I've said it), which is easy to do, you can only buy guns that are not RIF (realistic imitation firearms), which means you can only buy two-tone guns. Not recommended, as you should just rent; if you get a two-tone, and you end up not liking our little game, it's harder to sell a two-tone gun, as fewer people want those. Also, if you buy and and DO like the sport, once you get your UKARA registration number you will be able to buy RIFs, and will never use your two tone again, no matter how much time, care, and cash you've put into it. So I say go rental at least 3 times, get UKARA registered, and go from there.
  3. People lied about their age all the time when recruiting. And a lot of recruiters needed the bodies so badly they wouldn't ask too many questions as long as the kid looked passable.
  4. I use two Hero 3s, a black and a silver. One I mount on the NVG mount on my FAST helmet and the other is for my gun; either using a handlebar mount on my stock or a neat little aluminium RIS mount If I want to rail mount it.
  5. Haha, I'm gonna be in the same boat as you kerby. Also, If you are sending gas mags shouldn't you empty them?
  6. Yea, I know of one funny story from The Mall; apparently a group of guys wanted to throw their paralysed friend an airsoft party. The gave him akimbo G36s and hid behind him; as he has no feeling waist-down, he wasn't required to take hits there. They worked as a unit to carry him up and down stairs and he apparently was extremely happy. So literally anyone can enjoy the sport; my 12yo sister loves taking one of my extra springer pistols and running around in the backyard with it as well.
  7. For helmets, at least FAST style ones, contours mount on the side, and you need an attachment for them. GoPros mount simply in the NVG mount spot. GoPros can mount anywhere, however, as long as it is smooth and semi-flat. Now, GoPros are more obvious; they are larger, and for dark areas the red light can be annoying and give you position away. Contours are smaller and sleeker, but aren't as easy to use (think GoPro app) and afaik are stuck to being side mounted. Spec wise idk, black GoPros probably can capture a bit better, but are more expensive. I have 2 GoPros I use, one on my helmet which works well, and one I mount on my gun with a nice little attachment from antsupplies or something similar.
  8. The hop is fine for me, but I can't really compare; when I bought the M4 it already had the hop needed installed (wish I'd checked this first) so I ended up with two of the hops, and just put in the new one. Until I get my gearbox checked (think its stripped a gear or something) I can accurately compare it to the few others I've used, but this is the first time I've ever replaced a hop, so I'm not an expert.
  9. Only having viable defences, not UKARA, I've gotten all but one of my guns from here in the UK (my G17 I got from the US). I have also picked up some equipment from rafal in Poland and holsters and such from the US, but I'd say around 80% of my cash spent goes back into the UK.
  10. Alright, once it's light tomorrow I'll try to open it up
  11. And it's a gradual curve right, but pretty quickly. At around 30 m I get around 1m off target.
  12. I have cleaned the barrel recently, but I've taken it apart a few time while not knowing what I was doing, so something could be out of place. I'll attempt to take it apart tomorrow and check out the hop and such
  13. Just as the title says. I have thrown a fair amount of time and money at this gun, and recently, it shoots quite a bit to the right, even with .4s. I have set my scope as far over as I can, and it still going far outside what my scope can adjust to. Any ideas?
  14. Hmm, probably should have written that better. I meant replacing my hop, not adjusting it.
  15. I doubt your combat machine only hits 250, if it does then your spring is probably buggered. But anything TM, with their magic hops, is good. ICS also makes some good stuff, as does G&P.
  16. A lot of WE guns seem to be a touch bigger that heir real steel counterparts. Now, fabric or soft holsters will be fine, but hard cases may not fit.
  17. +1 for the g17, my favorite pistol right now. Remember, it won't fit most holsters. I guess when I sell the Safariland holster with the specially made pod for WE G17s, you could try to take it off me
  18. Gotta be gearbox, don't think a little thing like poor packaging would be a reason for putting people off a brand.
  19. Get some oil for it, spray everything that moves on it lightly whenever anything seems dry. Also, use some silicon grease (or 144a maintenance gas) on the mags every 10 mags or so.
  20. I've seen them before - heck, I've used them before, but that was in the US, and 3 years or so back. No idea on where to get them.
  21. Hello, and welcome. Nice piece you got there, nicer than either of my two pistols. The Mall is my primary site; perhaps we will see each other there. As a matter of fact, there are quite a few people on here who frequent The Mall, so just throw out a comment a few days before you go and see if anyone responds. I've met up with Kurtz and one other person there before, and I will definatly recommend it.
