  1. I am starting my Kryptek Highlander loadout - Have found all the pieces I require: All in Kryptek Highlander: CustomInk Embroidered Hat Emerson FAST Helmet Balaclava (one of those multi-option tube wraps) Crew neck shirt Emerson Gen 3 pants PC from China (may suck, but for $50 I figured I'd try it out, who knows?) Hydration pouch from Beez Combat Systems (do a lot of neat stuff) Custom hydrodipped GoPro casing (CarnivourCreations on Etsy) Few Mlice clips Total so far is $314 + the cap (yet to get a quote). Some of it is cheap, but has decent reviews, so I am ever hopeful... I really like the look of Highlander - really all the Krypteks in general. Back when I was just starting out I wanted to get a Typhon setup going for The Mall - but being a 16yo with little income dashed that hope. Now, since I have income, I can fulfill that want. Heck - when I start diving deeper than 10m I will probably get a Neptune or Pontus wetsuit for when I'm spearfishing, and maybe a Typhon loadout for CQB. If I move North my loadout may change to Altitude or Raid (really north for Raid), and if I move West then Nomad or Banshee may be my choice... Who knows? For those of you interested in the different patterns mentioned above, here is the link to Kryptek's Camos page: http://www.kryptek.com/kryptek-camo-patterns/
  2. Im probably going to put a full EDGI kit in my VSR. Do you recommend it?
  3. Newest update for my VSR - Jeez, Taring is just amazing!
  4. Well, I have my first late-afternoon/night game today at Airsoft City (formally Combat City); my VFC XCR is all set up. Weighs a bit, but that doesn't bother me. I have my Eotech 552 with a 3x flip-to-side magnifier as my sight, my RHC Super Stoc, single point sling, and GripPod, my XCortech system for tracer and ammo counting, my Powertac E5 light with pressure switch (for those of you who met me at The Mall, its my blindingly powerful light - 950 lumens), my Mobius velcro'd and zip-tied on top of my Eotech with a 25mm (so 6x zoom?) lens as my scopecam, with my GoPro Hero 4 Silver as my gun cam on the buffer tube (My subscribers want more airsoft videos, so I must oblige). And them my Colt .45 Peacemaker arrived last week; for a pistol, she shoots well, and I can still reload it rather fast. Plus it looks cool. I have a nice leather holster that's been sitting around awhile, and I added a bandoleer to hold 6 more shells so I can reload if needed.
  5. Im not the first person on here to have Taring make a stock. And the custom options he offers are immense!
  6. So many glocks... Anyway, first update from my Taring VSR stock:
  7. Just did the math... It is going to be (Insert pound symbol here - stupid US keyboard)324.23 from start to finish to get my new uniform complete. Going for a Kryptec Highlander loadout in the end, although LBX Caiman was a close second. Now to figure out where the heck I am going to pull all that quid from...

Get the Emerson Highlander gear from CB Shooter Gear. That'll save you a few quid.

      I'll check it out.

  8. A few of us are often in the US. Feel free to ask around as well, maybe one of us can pick up what is needed and bring it over free of cost (I know you found what you are looking for, this is for future issues).
  9. Ordered last week. I was given an estimate of around 3 weeks. I am yet to receive any progress reports.
  10. Taring Carving is doing a very customized stock for my VSR. It is going to be amazing. Pictures to come.
  11. Thanks to PT247 I'm going to have a really nice stock done for my VSR. Quite excited.

  12. While, I guess, the other person would be at fault, he probably would have tried to pass some blame onto you. As mentioned above, it is almost always a rules of sites that mags must be removed; although i do know of a few sites that allow you to leave mags in holstered pistols...
  13. As long as the outer barrel of the revolver isn't too narrow, and the shells are the same size, it should be fine. Not sure how well it would work, but it could work.
  14. Safariland. Jeez. Get a left hand paddle GLS 578 ProFit from them. Will fit your Glock perfectly, and it's a retention holster - you won't lose your gun. Bonus - it will fit just about every pistol you could put in it. Edit: I just realized that neither Safariland nor HolsterOps ships outside the USA. If you can wait, I can always bring one over for you in August when I return to the UK for a week. (I am Rogers Holster Company's representative in the Airsoft world)
  15. Going for an EDGI kit in my VSR... This is gonna be nice...

Yeah, I'm sure they work too. Precisely, it's the price.

PDI have free shipping until the end of the month I believe. Their barrels are still better than EdGI :)

  16. Ohhhh, where to begin... Well, I wont include any of the boltie bits yet, as ill do that post when its done. But for now... (For my backup load out / backup KWA SR-10) Flye Tan Plate Carrier Phantom quad M4 pouch Phantom Single Point Sling G&P MOTS 10.75 Inch Keymod Rail G&P Keymod HG Finger Stop My KWA needed some love; it's around 8 years old and still externally stock mostly... (I gave in and bought a replica of my greatx2 grandfather's revolver) Hand-Tooled Leather Holster, 6", Chocolate, Right Hand Galco Holster Bandolier Ammunition Carrier SAA .45 Co2 (GK Custom 6mm Version) Metal Revolver (Antique Black) SAA .45 6mm Shell (6pcs / pack) x2 Also dropped over a grand so far building a FPV drone - could always use it as a surveillence platform in airsoft?... (good luck shooting it down; it's less than a foot long, and should hit 80 mph no problem )
  17. Safariland (or RHC) GLS 578 Retention holster. Between their two models it fits 170+ modern pistols, and AFAIK (and tested) their Airsoft equivalents. Made from Kydex, and with a secure retention system - you won't ever lose your gun from one of them. Don't know, I'll check and get back to you. True. Nor upper rails or optics. If you want to mount a light you are restricted to the 7TS systems, which cost a lot more. But I'm trying to get a light version made...
  18. Just sayin. About to ship some out to Airsoftology, JetDesertFox, and Novritsch. A holster that fits about all pistols isn't something to shy away from...
  19. My VSR build keeps changing bases... First r700, then VSR, than Ashbury, and now I'm going with a Modelworks M40 stock. *sigh

      Hef Legend

Doh, would cost me a small fortune to get it there

      SeniorSpaz87

Exactly. I could probably pick one up new here cheaper

  20. Well, I've decided what base gun my boltie will be. I'm going with the VFC Ashbury ASW338LM. Not cheap, but I need the uniqueness aspect on whatever I choose. And, on the plus side - its TM VSR compatible.

    1. GiantKiwi

      GiantKiwi

TM VSR Compatible - Most parts aren't, had one when they were brand new, really big PITA.

Yes, I've looked into that. Shouldn't be too big an issue. Besides that, how'd it function for you?

Ash bury were the biggest airsoft sniper fail after the WA2000, nightmare things by all accounts

  21. ... Yea, I bet. Life here is, well, normal. A lot warmer. It's sitting mid-upper 20s © here, and it's winter... Airsoft here is good, but different. Made good relations with my local(ish) shop (they are still a 3 hour drive from me), and already making my name known around Florida Airsoft. The Mall's still my favorite site though. I keep turning down offers to play CQB here as I know I'll hate it in comparison.
  22. The Mall? Only place I know of that charges that much (25 dollars over here in the states ).
  23. Yea. Think mine is gonna be around $800?... So... Yikes (but worth it - I'll be in Cali over the summer, may challenge Novritsch
