  1. I miss The Mall . I am totally spoilt for CQB and indoors now
  2. Ahh, the EVO. One of two guns still on my 'must buy' list
  3. OK, batteries ordered, charger order, all is done... now lets hope they dont explode...
  4. Meh, its $6 more... Ill just get the set anyway. Now to find 7.4V lipos that fit in a buffer tube that are wired to deans (if possible so that I dont need a crane stock). Neither Evike nor AirsoftGI has anything that fits all 3 catagories, I must go exploring (gasp!)
  5. Haha. What I was talking about was that it says power supply not included. Is it talking about a battery like a lipo or nimh, or something else?...
  6. That's what I meant duck; not the whole gun (although I have done that before as well), just the connector. I looked at B6 chargers on hobby king, but they don't seem to include an adaptor... Any help on this?
  7. Ok, deans it is (I'm getting a feeling duck may like that best...), and 7.4 it is. I'll find somewhere to solder then. And I can get deans batteries, just need to rewire my gun. I've retired both guns and batteries before, I know the dangers... (Once accidently hooked myself up to the UK power grid when changeling a light switch - I had to sit down and focus on breathing for a few minutes after that :-/
  8. OK. charger sorted. Back to batteries... How important is it to use deans?... I know they offer less resistance compared to mini-T (or whatever the benefit it). The issue is, I can't solder in my room (really sensitive fire alarms), and I cant exactly take my guns down to the campus workshop to do the change-over there. It's still doable, but if I could get by with mini-T, then id rather do that. Also, one final time: 11.1 or 7.4? For a stock VFC XCR
  9. Depends on the Tar. There are two models, the Competitive (or is it sport? something like that) and the Professional. The pro is a good one, the other... Not so much...
  10. Sorry, but I must. Safariland Universial Magazine pouches. Can fit on belts, Safariland holsters, MOLLE vests, and more. I use them in a variety of combinations. And I plan on running pistols only at Combat City here in FL. Gonna have my Cops and Cartel G17s, as well as my WA 1911... decisions...
  11. Alright, found some I can get that fit my stock. Now, about chargers...
  12. Ok, I measured my stock. It is 14cm long, and 3cm wide. 2 tubes, and the buffer tube can take a battery as well
  13. I also don't have a problem switching out the stock. I don't want to rewire it for a PEQ though. It has a crane stock ATM; I don't like cranes unless it is a necessity for the battery. As y'all may know, my favorite stocks are the Roger's Super Stoc(s), but those offer no space for a battery. I knew I would have to get some upgrades or accessories for whatever gun I got, so I left some spare cash for that reason. I got lucky in that I got a weapon that works with my current attachments, and takes M4 mags. So I have some cash to throw at this, so a stock could be in the cards. So would you recommend the stock and lipo you linked above? Are you sure my gun can handle it without issue? I've never really gotten too techy with AEGs before, as I used mostly gas or stock AEGs in the UK, but with gas harder to get here, I'm having to switch. If you give me some links, one for a battery, as well as for whatever you would suggest, I trust your opinion and will buy it. Whether you think a battery pouch on the stock, a new stock, or batteries chosen to fit the crane, I'll take your advice. And evike, Airsoft gi, or other U.S. Links are preferred; can't do too much with UK links
  14. So for a stock VFC XCR with deans connectors I should use a 20C? Unless you recommend a 25
  15. I keep seeing 15, 20, and 25C on the descriptions. What's this?

  17. I decided to play the Airsoft lottery, and bought one of AirsoftGi's Imperial Resupply Boxes. To my surprise, I didn't end up with one of the cheap Spectres; instead I got a VFC XCR. Pay $170 for a $400 gun? Yes please :)

haha, it was a quick mystery box thing from AirsoftGI. They throw one out there every few months; this one was to hype up their next "story" game for BB Wars

A guy on Reddit managed to fit a Daytona kit into the Spectre, turned out alright with a bit of work

Yea, but I'm not a huge techy guy (unless I'm forced to be). And I prefer a higher cost right away than adding money to a not great product to make it great

  18. As the title says, I am tempted to get some lipo batteries for my new VFC XCR, as I need to get batteries for it anyway. It has a standard crane stock. What do y'all recommend, or should I just stick to 9.6v nunchuck NimHs. And what do I need to know about lipos
  19. There are 2 S&T versions (just clearifying what Candle said), the Pro and another. The pro is good, the other is the one that gets the hate. S&T does make really good guns (PPSH and Tar-21) and some not good ones, sometimes both (like with the two Tar models)
  20. Yes. Oh, whoops, left that letter out :-/
  21. My E&L AKs-74U, "Natalya". Still a WIP, she's going to get some professional work done soon to finish her off. I think less is more in terms of AKs.
  22. Aww... I wanted to try some out... But I can see why, direct impacts would cause some concern...
  23. CQB, they can be a huge help. But outdoors, they are mostly for show only. Unless you use those TAG rounds, which are quite expensive. I use an S-Thunder at The Mall in Reading and Combat City in Florida to various effect.
