  1. Taring Carving is doing a very customized stock for my VSR. It is going to be amazing. Pictures to come.
  2. Thanks to PT247 I'm going to have a really nice stock done for my VSR. Quite excited.

  3. While, I guess, the other person would be at fault, he probably would have tried to pass some blame onto you. As mentioned above, it is almost always a rules of sites that mags must be removed; although i do know of a few sites that allow you to leave mags in holstered pistols...
  4. As long as the outer barrel of the revolver isn't too narrow, and the shells are the same size, it should be fine. Not sure how well it would work, but it could work.
  5. Safariland. Jeez. Get a left hand paddle GLS 578 ProFit from them. Will fit your Glock perfectly, and it's a retention holster - you won't lose your gun. Bonus - it will fit just about every pistol you could put in it. Edit: I just realized that neither Safariland nor HolsterOps ships outside the USA. If you can wait, I can always bring one over for you in August when I return to the UK for a week. (I am Rogers Holster Company's representative in the Airsoft world)
  6. Going for an EDGI kit in my VSR... This is gonna be nice...

Yeah, I'm sure they work too. Precisely, it's the price.

PDI have free shipping until the end of the month I believe. Their barrels are still better than EdGI :)

      Thanks for the tip

  7. Ohhhh, where to begin... Well, I wont include any of the boltie bits yet, as ill do that post when its done. But for now... (For my backup load out / backup KWA SR-10) Flye Tan Plate Carrier Phantom quad M4 pouch Phantom Single Point Sling G&P MOTS 10.75 Inch Keymod Rail G&P Keymod HG Finger Stop My KWA needed some love; it's around 8 years old and still externally stock mostly... (I gave in and bought a replica of my greatx2 grandfather's revolver) Hand-Tooled Leather Holster, 6", Chocolate, Right Hand Galco Holster Bandolier Ammunition Carrier SAA .45 Co2 (GK Custom 6mm Version) Metal Revolver (Antique Black) SAA .45 6mm Shell (6pcs / pack) x2 Also dropped over a grand so far building a FPV drone - could always use it as a surveillence platform in airsoft?... (good luck shooting it down; it's less than a foot long, and should hit 80 mph no problem )
  8. Safariland (or RHC) GLS 578 Retention holster. Between their two models it fits 170+ modern pistols, and AFAIK (and tested) their Airsoft equivalents. Made from Kydex, and with a secure retention system - you won't ever lose your gun from one of them. Don't know, I'll check and get back to you. True. Nor upper rails or optics. If you want to mount a light you are restricted to the 7TS systems, which cost a lot more. But I'm trying to get a light version made...
  9. Just sayin. About to ship some out to Airsoftology, JetDesertFox, and Novritsch. A holster that fits about all pistols isn't something to shy away from...
  10. *whispers* Safarilaaaaaand 578888888....
  11. My VSR build keeps changing bases... First r700, then VSR, than Ashbury, and now I'm going with a Modelworks M40 stock. *sigh

I maybe tempted, but remember, I'm in the U.S...

Doh, would cost me a small fortune to get it there

      SeniorSpaz87

Exactly. I could probably pick one up new here cheaper

  12. Well, I've decided what base gun my boltie will be. I'm going with the VFC Ashbury ASW338LM. Not cheap, but I need the uniqueness aspect on whatever I choose. And, on the plus side - its TM VSR compatible.

      GiantKiwi

TM VSR Compatible - Most parts aren't, had one when they were brand new, really big PITA.

Yes, I've looked into that. Shouldn't be too big an issue. Besides that, how'd it function for you?

Ash bury were the biggest airsoft sniper fail after the WA2000, nightmare things by all accounts

  13. ... Yea, I bet. Life here is, well, normal. A lot warmer. It's sitting mid-upper 20s © here, and it's winter... Airsoft here is good, but different. Made good relations with my local(ish) shop (they are still a 3 hour drive from me), and already making my name known around Florida Airsoft. The Mall's still my favorite site though. I keep turning down offers to play CQB here as I know I'll hate it in comparison.
  14. Why my primaries are DMRs and Bolties
  15. The Mall? Only place I know of that charges that much (25 dollars over here in the states ).
  16. Yea. Think mine is gonna be around $800?... So... Yikes (but worth it - I'll be in Cali over the summer, may challenge Novritsch
  17. Well, that's gonna include the gun itself. Haven't even got that yet...
  18. I'm probably gonna put a lot more that £300 into mine...
  19. Lylax parts in my VSR? Good idea?

    1. Qlimax

      Qlimax

i've heard Laylex is meant to be pretty good for sniper parts.

      Hudson

      Nothing wrong with laylax parts.

Cool. I hope to have a parts list for yall to look over here in the next few days

  20. For iron sights, you must use both eyes, and the sight must be under your dominate eye (not always the same as your dominate hand; I'm right handed, left eyed). For optics, you can use either eye. But keep both open. It allows you to track your targets. Taught to me by a man who deals with shooting in sub-second time windows.
  21. Dave is correct. Ive spent a lot of time with Bill Rogers, as well as having bee to a few of his classes. Always both eyes. Even with a magnified optic. Sometimes I'll wink to refocus, but other than that still both eyes
  22. Yep, moved stateside over the summer. OK, good so far. My other option is to use the G&P M4 I have in the UK with a TROY TRX rail on it and start from scratch; as this will likely be cheaper I thought, why not. true, but ill be upgrading it as well.
  23. of course, i would be upgrading it as well...
  24. Hey guys, ive been after a DMR for awhile, and someone just offered me this: Custom Stoner Rifle with G&G SR-25 front assembly and suppressor. Had this built and never got a chance to use it, just trying to move it out now...over $700 invested as it stands. Here's what she's got: -Hurricane SR-16 Stoner Rifle metal body -G&G SR-25 front assembly w/ suppressor -M140 gearbox w/ MOSFET wired to DEANS -Madbull V.II 509mm 6.03mm tightbore -Madbull hard bucking -Madbull ultimate hop-up unit -180rd short hi-cap w/ Magpul -CA full stock -Leapers 4x32 scope w/ sunshield -SPR full-length riser rail -Magnum motor for 200 USD. How's it sound? Ive always loved SR25s and I prefer the support DMR/sniper role, so i am interested.
  25. Short term... No. Nada. Nope. Run for the hills. Before you dismiss me, let me explain. Out of the box, most Airsoft guns shoot about the same. My G&G combat raider shoots about as well as my VFC XCR, despite the latter being a much better gun overall. Snipers (and let's be politically correct - any rifle used by the 'sniper' role is technically a sniper rifle... - let's call them what they are, bolt actions) are no better out of the box than any AEG. Bolt action rifles are often one of the most expensive projects you can attempt (let's leave HPA out of this for now...), and they need a lot of money and parts thrown at them to get them to that precise status we have come to enjoy with bolts. Heck. My only bolt I've had I probably spent 8-10 times as long zeroing it and testing it in different conditions than I've played overall - and I did very little to it. If you actually want to not have a disadvantage in the field, then don't go for a bolt. If you want a project that you will empty your wallet, max your cards out, and force you to both sell your kidney and your 2nd child, and have a ton of free time on your hands, then go for it. I am going to be starting my first actual build here soon, and I'm already rationing food for the long journey ahead. That said, if you are going to be running around in the garden shooting your mates, then sure, go for it.
