  1. It's now got to the stage where I think something's shitted up in the gearbox, this is where I throw in the towel and pay someone else to do it for me
  2. Anyone tried the Warrior Assault systems gloves?

I've read some very mixed reviews of genuine oakleys, some guys in Afghanistan had real problems with them.

Camelbak ones look good, but yeah, pricey.

Pentagon have some reasonably prices gloves, no idea if they're any good though.

knockoff mechanix?! why not just buy the real thing, they're cheap!

Those Macwet gloves that Pro Airsoft sell look interesting. Had my Oakleys about a year now with no issues, but have heard of build quality issues on some.

  3. If in doubt go for eHobby, they're known for good quality of service and although I cant remember exactly how long they've taken to deliver my orders in the past, they were quicker then the other HK based retailers I've tried. Just avoid ebairsoft, they're shite.
  4. As far as I know fuses generally aren't that necessary, they will however protect your gun to a degree if something catastrophic happened (such as the gearbox totally locking up) and you kept the trigger pulled down. I removed the one from my old MP5 as it was a massive pain, never had any issues.
  5. Already a thread open half way down the page..
  6. I suppose switching back to the original barrel + rubber is the next logical step Will give it a go tomorrow and see what happens. Starting to really hate this gun, I fecking hate taking M4's apart, F2000 on the other hand takes seconds to strip down..
  7. It does, but once the gun is fully assembled it appears to have no function at all as the hop unit cannot move whatsoever. It sits right against the gearbox.
  8. Finally got around to having another go at fixing this, chrono'd it last weekend at ~150fps. Removed barrel + hop, checked was airtight, everything fine there. Stripped it down anyway, double checking fitment and PTFE taping the barrel - hop to really make sure it's airtight and to stop the spacer from shifting about. Put it all back together, no change. There's no forward / back movement at all on the hop unit when installed, so I'm not sure what else could be causing the problem.

    M4 hop up

Not sure if anyone's already said this (long day, tl;dr etc) but the G&G green hop up buckings are supposed to be cold resistant, so if you've changed the rubber as well might be worth going back to one of these.
  10. I'm by no means an expert in the law, but if the retailer isn't playing along then you could check out something like http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/england/consumer_e/consumer_taking_action_e/consumer_making_a_complaint_e.htm But if you paid by creditcard / paypal you're much more likely to get a result by going through them. If it's broken twice in a short space of time with no fault on your part you should be entitled to a refund. Unfortunately those mosfets are notoriously shite, and quite a few people seem to be having issues with the TR16's such as feeding and gearbox problems. Which battery are you using in it out of interest?
  11. First days airsoft in a couple of months, M4 shooting at 150fps, F2000 not feeding properly, lost a KSC G19 mag (the only one that didnt leak). BIG SUCCESS!

I had one of those days yesterday; brought 3 AEGs, with the M4 as last resort in case the other two were playing up...I ended up having to use the M4...

  12. Don't think I've ever seen a launcher attached to a Magpul hand guard before! Kind of want one for mine now..
  13. Normally a fan of magpul stuff, but the copy bits they've put on the g26 are all kinds of weird. Can't go wrong with a regular cm18!
  14. Helikon trousers have built in pockets on the knees which can then have inserts, not tried them yet but thinking of getting a pair. Using Blackhawk ones at the moment, not bad but they do occasionally slip down. Two velcro straps aren't really enough to keep kneepads secure all the time imo.
  15. The short answer is, no, you're not going to get into trouble and there's nothing you need to do. The responsibility is on the seller, not you. But if you're living on campus I would strongly recommend not storing it there, I cant imagine the university would take kindly to students having replica weapons on site. Unless they have some kind of exception.
  16. So I had this idea of cutting the mesh out from a flash hider and replacing it with 2 or 3mm polycarbonate, reckon it would work/be strong enough?

Problem I find is that it reduces incoming light by quite a lot, unless the target's well lit you can't see it with your right eye.

i emailed that ebayer and they say they will cut it into circles for us - woohoo!

Nice! Was planning on getting a t1 for my m4 so that'll be very handy. Not decided how to fix it in yet, might try impact adhesive.

  17. Mainly assault SCAR-H, F2000 or M416 Coyote sight goes on everything because coyote sight r best Shorty laser + full choke medi bag + defib M67 Used to only run offensive but now running defensive. Or sometimes Support AWS because it's just daft easymode.
  18. For looks, revolvers all the way. If they made an airsoft version of the MP412 I'd buy that in an instant. But for practicality it's got to be one of the Glock variants.
  19. Need some new mesh goggles, any that you guys rate more highly then the standard chinese knock-offs? Looking for the larger type (not the bullet ant variety).

Used to be able to buy directly through his facebook page. Looks like it is still going, that was how I got mine around a year ago.

Ahh, I see, thanks. That explains why I couldn't find anything, was looking for a retailer.

  20. One of the retailers did 'camo style' two tone as an option, can't remember which off the top of my head, will have a look around. Edit: Meh, cant find it. It looked pretty cool for a two tone, damned if I can remember which company did it though.
  21. I've got a (heavily magpulized) king arms m4. Not bad externals, performance ootb was quite uninspiring but otherwise solid. G&P are better for m4's imo, nicer externally and internally. Although price tag reflects that..
  22. It's done, gas block fitted pretty well although as it lacks the two pins to go into the barrel grooves I imagine that a hard enough wack in the right place would skew it round. Front sight was a pain in the balls to get off, discovered part way through that King Arms make theirs out of some really sh*t quality pot metal (see second picture..), that happened while trying to hammer out the sling pin. Annoyingly my fakepul front sight wont fold down as the handguard gets in the way, will either modify it or just remove it when I get a T1 installed. Also for £8, quality of the gas block isn't half bad, it's a solid lump of metal and the finish is decent.
  23. Not exactly adventurous but - More AEP's! The CYMA/TM ones are alrite and all, but a bit more variety for those of us who prefer cold reliability over having fun things like blowback would be nice. Also a KSG 12, sure it's a pile of arse irl, but it's all tacticool...
  24. Turns out all you need to fix Magpul stock wobble is a small piece of velcro, got to love dirt cheap fixes.

As far as I know the moe didn't really fit any gun that well, probably wrong though. Poor man's ctr, I can live with it

      Adam3088

True with the stock, but both my hand-guard and grip are magpul parts. Had to file down the top of it before it would sit flush with the guard. As far as I know they're both genuine PTS.

      M_P

That is weird then, bad batch maybe? Although you have thought their quality control would've caught that :/

  25. Crappy lighting is crappy. M&P in progress, some more bits and pieces for it in the post.
