  1. +1 on the polycarb, although cheaper from http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360813914102?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&var=630199623780&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  2. Welcome to the UK! Is airsoft very popular in Slovenia? Beautiful looking country, not sure why you'd want to move over here

    Best bbs?

Lets not get overly dramatic, a plastic bb shattering on mesh will have lost almost all of it's energy, so it's not exactly dangerous. I've had bb's shatter on mesh goggles before, little bit of grit got in my eye, not blinded. Interestingly had a chat with a guy who was sourcing bb's wholesale from China, apparently there's only 4 or 5 factories which make them, so a lot of the brands will be practically identical.
  4. It's all about the midcaps, although having said that I've had to modify all of my midcaps in order for them to work at all. Hicaps are much more reliable, yet less fun. Also hate running around like a pair of maracas.
  5. Oh balls, searched for 'dboys rail' on ebay and I swear that didn't come up... Ah well nevermind, if the cheap ones turn out to be no good I'll get those instead. Cheers
  6. It's like a G36C drawn by a 5 year old, and this is coming from someone who likes the F2000.
  7. Let me clarify what I'm getting at, I understand how vests work in an airsoft sense, they're lightweight and allow you to carry resources in an effective way. But in military terms why do they exist when plate carriers do the same thing but have the ability to take armour? Or are there some situations where military forces use tactical vests instead of armoured options?
  8. ^ Thanks for that, £25 seemed a bit steep and couldn't find a foreign retailer who sold them so I got those (possibly) clone ones instead, will see how they turn out. Next question: This might seem like a bit of a daft one, but please bear with my ignorance. It's been bugging me for a while now, what's the point in tactical vests? I'm presuming that military forces will always be wearing plate carriers which will generally have molle on it, so where do vests without the ability to take armour fit in?
  9. Looks great! Has the person who made it for you done this before or did they base the work on the original furniture?
  10. That feeling when you've dismantled a midcap and finally gotten everything back in the case after 30 minutes of pratting around with springs.

Wow my Dytac's M4 hi-caps are lovely, better than my ICS, SRC & even some G&G stock mags, only got a few makes of mid caps but some of them miss feed when they get near the last 25%. poxy mag problems

On mine the wedge bit which stops bb's from ejecting doesn't come back far enough, stops them from seating in the magwell fully. I have to strip down each one, dremmel out the block which the wedges spring sits on and then put it all back together.

I've also had to round off the top edge of the magazines as otherwise they can stick a bit when going past the magazine release lever.

Tried them on a G&G, WE and King Arms, all had the same problem.

  11. My new WE (aeg) SCAR-L, comes with a removable barrel extension so as soon as I got it unscrewed this and put on a suppressor. Need to get some rail covers and a foregrip (probably magpul). Dunno if I'll get optics or not, although the hole in the rear sight is damn small, can imagine in low light it'll make it tricky to aim.
  12. Can anyone tell me what rail cover this is a copy of please? (I presume it's a clone of something anyway) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400667423463?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  13. Very nice! Would love to have a setup like that in the garden.
  14. Anyone know where you can get a lanyard plug which would fit a G19? Canne find one anywhere.

  15. As far as I know pretty much all of these Chinese made eotech replicas are essentially the same, think it's always going to be a bit hit or miss with them.
  16. Presuming it's using the Magpul rails, they're attached using small plates on inside with regular allen key bolts securing them onto the grip.
  17. Yeah that should still be fine, we were using them in Hero 3's recording at 1080p 30fps and never had any problems. Don't think the requirements will have gone up.
  18. Finally get a box of dytac mids, turns out they dont fit in open pouches very well. Sonofab*tch.

ram them in, then leave them in there for a week or soo. The pouches will loosen

  19. Sounds good, think I might wait until spring but I'll have to pay it a visit at some point.
  20. Welcome! Not trying to derail here but is billericay a good site? One of my workmates goes there occasionally with a group and he's asked if I'll come along as well at some point.
  21. Great video mate, thanks a lot for that. Might be getting ProAirsoftSupplies to order me one in.
  22. Last post: 21 May 2011 - 11:26 AM That's some necromancy right there. Do they have a valid defence for buying a realistic imitation firearm? If not then they can only buy an IF, which would be two tone.
  23. Just sorted out my (partially) homemade eotech lens protector, removed the mesh from a Chinese made guard, got some cheapo 1mm lexan polycarb sheet which I cut to rough shape with scissors and then finished off with a dremmel. Fits perfectly and I can actually see through it quite well now. Also remade my sling adapter for my F2000, main part of the strap was taken from a laptop bag.
  24. Well it's stopped working again. Thought it would probably be like this. But on the other hand trigger response is fantastic now I've got an airfet installed.
  25. It's not as bad as some when wet (gunsmoke was one massive bog), but the parking is on the edge of the lane going past the site. One time I went with a mate his car started sliding off the road, damaged an alloy getting it back up. But Raven's is great fun during the warmer months, large woodland area with some fun cqb sections as well. Safe zone is a bit ramshackle though, could do with some work. Edit @Josh: Afraid not, they've only started doing those quite recently. But with a site that size and a decent turn out I know they could pull off some fun milsim-lite games.
