Also Check out Careful's builds. He's been making custom VSRs from scratch for a few years now. http://www.airsoftsniperforum.com/30-project-guns/11336-full-custom-build-vsr-10-a.html

Wow he's only charging $100 as well! Thanks for the link UTJ

There is no way he is charging $100 for that babe. More like €500.

  2. Ah yes, RSOV as well. Forgot about them. Cheers M_P.
  3. Damn well this certainly isn't an easy choice (first world / airsoft problems eh) but you guys have really helped! Cheers! I am inclined towards the BAR since I don't skirmish too often unfortunately. Would be better for plinking to use a springer. Like Evil said, there are Glocks about everywhere. I can imagine Gunfire will still have them in stock for a while whereas I'm not so sure the BAR will. It will be good just to say I own one really I've wanted to get into sniping so I'd say this is a good chance to get a rifle. For £85 or under you can only get WELL rifles which aren't very good (apart from the Warrior L96) Depending on how much I get for my GCSEs I may be able to get the Glock in August as well anyway but we'll see. Thanks for the videos UTJ, watching them now. Just for future reference, anywhere you would recommend I could pick one up from? I see eHobby have sold out.
  4. Airsoft Peak is excellent, bought twice from them now. I know eHobby Asia is very good as well. Haven't used WGC Shop / JK Army or ebairsoft but I will be doing in the future as I've heard good things about them. Just found asia airsoft today which does free shipping. Ali Express also has good airsoft stuff but it's like eBay in that it's all different sellers so I don't know how trustworthy it is. They do have ratings and things though. What I don't like is that they don't take PayPal AFAIK, but some Chinese version of it. Finally, GP Airsoft UK I think are okay. Anybody used them? It's in Asia but I believe they add in 20% for tax so you just pay shipping (and of course other charges depending on cost) They do a lot of SHS and G&P stuff.
  5. LiPos are great but you're gonna need a new charger as well, which will probably be £15 to £30-ish.
  6. Need help deciding between these two. Just noticed both are around £85 from TaiwanGun. Now immediately this caught my eye because I know they're hard / expensive to find in the UK and aren't often in stock anywhere (in the EU and Asia not just UK) So I thought I'd do a bit of a cons / pros here and I'd like to know your thoughts. I mean, I know I've been talking about getting a pistol for so long but now....I feel I might miss the chance to get a BAR-10 if I don't go for it if you know what I mean. BAR-10 Cons: Need to buy scope (£15 for cheap China one, £48 for Nikko Sterling 3-9x40 AO IR scope) 0.30g BBs (only £4 for 2000 TaiwanGun P&J ones, but nonetheless extra expense buying a different weight ammo) Internal upgrades pretty much essential (not necessarily straight away but something that I will do - how skirmishable is the BAR-10 stock OOTB?) As a sniper, very useful to have a secondary (due to the 20m MED for precision rifles) Gonna need a new gun bag as well Pistol Cons: Green gas (£5-£9 a can) or propane + adaptor Planned on buying case and extra mags (£45 for couple WE mags, £5-£14 for case etc) If I buy the Glock, can't afford BAR-10 for at least a month or so. Could go out of stock. So IDK guys - please leave any thoughts and criticisms. I think I've always been a bit like Metile (no offence or anything) in that I'm always thinking about buying different guns (and I have been planning on getting £400 guns etc)
  7. So as you guys know I've been wanting to get a WE Glock for ages and I should be able to afford one by Sunday. Thing is now I've just seen the JG BAR-10 for £85 as well....ffffffuuuuuuccccck (can't decide if I should buy BAR instead)

A&K M24,barring the hop up unit has fantastic internals,it;s reliable OOTB. You don;t have to start off at the trigger and piston as you do with a BAR or VSR. Hop up unit and barrel is the main part that needs work. It's fairly popular in eastern europe,I've seen the guts and I'm really impressed

Buy the bar. Theyre like rocking horse poo. Everyone and his dogs brothers best friends cats sisters uncles mother has a glock.

  8. Wow, need to order some stuff from altatac (eBay seller) Anybody know if these would fit in a replica helmet? Also check out their Mechanix gloves - they're really cheap.

Mechanix fast fits in Multicam only about £15 shipped, M-Pact Multicam around £24 and M-Pact 3's (with the knuckle pro) about £30.

the headlock system will fit in a replica MICH/ACH helmet, it's not made for a FAST style one.

Sweet I think I'll definitely invest in one soon.

  9. I was just looking at one of those myself (and the LaRue mount too!) Did you buy it from Suffolk Rifle Company, or elsewhere? Just bought a Magpul PTS ACS Stock.
  10. Okay, thanks for clearing that up. That was my understanding based on what I'd been told before.
  11. I can guarantee you a lot of responses will say yes. I haven't had the pleasure of shooting one myself but many members on here say great things about them. I know at least a couple of guys own one so they should be able to give you some good advice. Marui guns have magical hop ups so you get excellent range and accuracy.
  12. ATM I have ASG Strike Systems goggles, ESS Ice glasses and a cheap 'zombie' mesh face mask thingy. In the process of modding my half face mask so that hopefully the ASG goggles will fit better. Would rather just use my shemagh but I'm under 18 so I've got to wear full face. Need to buy some new goggles as well, looking at Bolle cobras.
  13. Right yeah I see! Don't know why I couldn't figure it out haha Cheers Mack
  14. How do you attach things such as grenades and tourniquets to chest rigs and plate carriers (using rubber bands, not a sleeve/pouch etc) I'm thinking of getting something like these at some point for looks: http://www.airsoftpeak.com/element-combat-application-tourniquet-p-9493.html http://www.airsoftpeak.com/smoke-grenade-dummy-grey-p-9196.html This is what I mean: I thought about it a bit more and pretty sure I've figured it out now but if anyone has some tips or something, it would be appreciated. Thanks.
  15. OMG! VFC is making an FNX 45! http://blog.airsoftcommunity.de/cybergun-fn-herstal-fnx-45-gbb Needs one of these on! http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/new-products/osp-range-up-suppressor-silencer-8-fde.htm#.U7awa_ldXWg
  16. I have ESS Ice glasses, not sure if 2.4 or 3 model. Don't really like that they aren't full seal but it shouldn't be bad as a sniper. Last time I looked you can pick a pair up for around £20 or some Bolle glasses from £10+ (although apparently they could be Bolle clones)
  17. http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/new-products/king-arms-bolt-carrier-ornament-plate.htm#.U7U95PldXWg
  18. Agreed. They're manufacturing them in England so no doubt it's a fairly small scale operation. Higher wages than Asia as well...It's a new product too. Nevertheless, even with the price of airsoft in Europe, there's no reason to be charging so much for it. A tracer unit must be more complicated or at least very similar in operation (same kind of thing; a sensor, a few LEDs. Shoved in an aluminium tube) £30 up to £100 for an expensive overpriced Madbull one but still not £120.
  19. G&G put extended followers in their mid-cap magazines as well -so that all the rounds feed- but they're really flimsy and break off far too easily.
  20. Aren't these two the same gun? Thing is, on AW it's 3kg. LWA says it weighs 2.1kg. The AW version includes the 50rnd low-cap, whereas on LWA it comes with a 200rnd hi-cap. I'm assuming both have a bag of 1000 G&G PSBP BBs in the box. http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/airsoft-weapons-c38/electric-rifles-c45/g-g-mp5-a4-with-blowback-p1505 http://www.airsoftworld.net/gandg-pm5-a4-blowback-airsoft-rifle-nylon-fibre.html
  21. So, was supposed to go to my first skirmish in ages last month. Cancelled. Was going to go on the 6th, but now we're not because of le tour so :( Oh well I need a new gun / loadout anyway

Yeah I'm getting a Gen 4 G17 from TaiwanGun for £85. Then saving up for a Fobus holster and couple WE mags.
