If you're 18+ and have a UKARA defence I would say you're absolutely fine to go ahead and paint it. If not, then I would be safe and use camouflage tape to cover up the brightly coloured parts. As long as you only put it on when you get to a site and remove it before you leave then it is okay.

You don't want to be buying any cheap gun from a 'bb guns' website. If they do sell more expensive guns, they are usually over priced anyway compared to other retailers. You're better off saving up for another gun which is much better quality and buying from a proper airsoft website such as Pro Airsoft Supplies, Zero One, Airsoft World, Patrol Base, Fire Support or Land Warrior Airsoft. 2mm is quite thick so you can expect less definition but it should be sturdier. I think most people use 1.5mm or 2mm. Either one should be fine, but I'm not certain.

I think everyone is being a bit harsh. If you don't like his videos, don't watch them. I do have a look occasionally but it's really just to look at loadouts or something because the actual action is kind of boring. LevelCap on the other hand is actually a YouTuber who's airsoft videos I thoroughly enjoy. Whilst he may not know a lot they are very entertaining.

I don't own a G&G Combat Machine myself but IIRC you can't replace the RIS unfortunately. On the other hand you should be able to replace the stock with no problem. You can just take off the original one and put your chosen stock on instead. That said you will probably have to run LiPo batteries if you aren't already since a NiMh won't be able to fit in the buffer tube. Hope this helps.

A good pair of boots would be much better than trainers, and are especially important if you're playing woodlands. Look for a pair on sale at somewhere like Go Outdoors maybe? There's also a surplus store selling army boots for around £20 or two for £35. Can't remember the site though

I was looking on MSM's website a few days ago and saw those decals / stencils. Did you buy them from the US and get your family to ship them over, or do you know of a UK / European retailer? Very annoying that it costs $40 to ship something like a $20 hoodie. Cheers

Whilst I think taking airsoft to the extreme in MilSim games can be pretty over the top. That said, a normal skirmish would not give you the opportunity to do night games for example. From what I know a lot of the more serious games are the ones over multiple days and in unique places such as FIBUA facilities. Ranks and saluting though? Really? That is very sad.

Welcome to the forums! What brand is your MP5 mate? Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of goggles that will comfortably fit over glasses, as far as I know. My dad has to wear glasses and finds it difficult.

Drop leg holsters flap around a lot so they're not great. I would also suggest a polymer / paddle holster like Mack and Lozart. If you have a look on eBay there is an Israeli seller called zahalorg. They also have a website called zahal.org. They do IMI and FOBUS holsters at good prices. You have a couple of M9 pistols right? I know that WE pistols are usually a bit too big for real steel holsters (because they are not completely 1:1 scale) but I'm not sure about other brands. It's a good rifle, I'm looking at buying one myself. I think it will be alright until you can upgrade, but since I don't have one myself I wouldn't take my word for it. You could probably find it a bit cheaper somewhere else. I'm looking at mine from Poland for £100 (I doubt they will do two-tone though) If you're looking to upgrade it, i would recommend ASPUK. AFAIK a lot of snipers like to go for expensive Prometheus / PDI / Laylax parts etc but some brands can be ridiculously expensive.

I'd say a magnifier is pretty useful. Another option would be having a magnified optic by itself, yet it is slower to aim. Plus, your peripheral vision is limited. Alternatively you could have a scope with a Docter sight on top, but they are most likely going to be more expensive. A magnifier can be quickly flipped up or down when needed to adapt for CQC or longer range engagements - and you can aim quicker using a red dot / holographic. By the way I just bought an AFG myself (the one I linked)

When you buy a PTT you just need to make sure it's the right plug so for example it will usually say for Kenwood or Motorola Talkabout.
