  1. Hey guys I'm pretty set on a JG AUG A2 or A3 as my next gun now (around November though) Are there any common issues with them, and if so what would be required to fix these? If I remember correctly the trigger can be temperamental and I know supposedly the feed nipple (never heard a gearbox part referred to as a feed nipple before) will wear away quickly. I'm not necessarily planning a DMR build but the idea is to improve accuracy. range and reliability (use longer inner barrel length to an advantage) Also considering a silent parts setup and wondering how effective / useful / practical (as in how silent will it really be, will the gun sound much better) this would be if anybody has done this themselves? So the following upgrades at the moment are as follows: 'Replacement AUG feed nipple' off AirsoftWorld - £11.18 SHS AUG CNC Air Seal Nozzle - $4.50 SHS AUG CNC Cylinder Head - $8.50 Madbull 'Shark' or 'Blue 60' Hopup Buckings - up to £16 Madbull 6.03 509mm TBB - £33 SHS or Super Shooter 13:1 Gear Sets ~ $26 SHS or Super Shooter V3 Spring Guides - $9 M90 Spring (Probably SHS?) AIRLAB Sorbo Pad to correct AOE - £5 New piston if needed? SHS Full Steel teeth or Madbull XF MOSFET (to correct trigger problems?) Gate PICO? (any cheap, quality, easy to install ones - will probably get Patrol Base tech to do it with good solder / soldering iron etc) or (instead of other cylinder / cylinder head or piston head) http://uk.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Accessories_AEG_Cylinders_Pistons_Systema_Silent_Head_Set_AUG_SG550.htm http://uk.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Accessories_AEG_Cylinders_Pistons_HurricanE_New_BORE_UP_Cylinder_Set_for_AUG.htm I know Systema are obviously a good brand but unsure about HurricanE, and at the prices they are on offer at, might it even be worth buying those parts right now before I miss out? Any recommendations on which would be the best parts to choose? Appreciate it guys cos although I'm a regular on here I'm really inexperienced with internals. Will be upgrading my MP5 soon as practice actually (gears, spring) I know most upgrades will be an easy drop in but find shimming etc quite confusing and will take practice.
  2. Hmm interesting...Warrior has released some Fast Mag style things (I know ITW aren't the only manufacturer)

      @GiantKiwi - think of the money you'll save! ;)

  3. Just the AUG magazines unfortunately. I wish some manufacturer would make an A3 NATO! Saw a video where a guy modded some PMAGs to fit but it means taking a big chunk out of the back and a portion of the front to replicate the AUG mags shape. There are AUG mags by MAG on eHobby Asia still available at the moment. ~$40 IIRC. Worth bearing in mind they appear to be out of stock everywhere else (in the UK) EDIT - sorry I just saw brotherwood linked the same ones -sorry didn't fully read whole post- thought they'd be available there as well, but yeah they're probably the best for the money. I think I'll buy an AUG sometime as well. Even though I was just gonna go bog standard AR and pimp it up, but if I really want an awesome looking M4 I'll get a GBBR so it's especially satisfying and more unique + no battery limitations (both in terms of where it can go and size you can use) Speaking of customising etc AUGs are great to spray paint (cos of the huge stock / body that is one piece rather than separate receivers / handguard / stock if you catch my drift)
  4. Looks like the pair you'd get in a sportline starter kit like with my MP5. I use them all the time for plinking but that's all they're advertised as and are supposed to be used for - protection against a richochet. Either he's used those or maybe bought them off some 'bb guns' retailer who sell them as super high impact rated military ballistic goggles.
  5. I don't see the SA80 in there but that is one ugly gun.
  6. Kind of bizarrely, if you already own one you don't need a defence. They're not illegal to own, but it would be illegal for the retailer or private seller if they sold a gun to you without an appropriate defence.
  7. Hop up bucking and barrel would help for range and accuracy.
  8. The manual has a parts explosion at the back if that helps
  9. A new gun or a new face mask? And what is this thing you're after?
  10. I think that piece you're on about is the cylinder head air nozzle, they're different lengths on different guns AFAIK, so it isn't that.
  11. Looks like I've broken my Glock slide release :(

Power stroke more-helps preserve the release/catch. Replacing it should not be too much of a hassle, though I've yet to gut one but in general that part is easy enough to replace on pistols

I think it's happened because I had a couple batteries in the case and they got stuck inside the mag well :| Noticed a rod has snapped which means it doesn't go back when cocked straight away (strangely touch the barrel and it does but not the safest thing to do) Hope it's this rod piece which is something I can replace but I knew the release lever itself would be easy to find.

Just found a GunsModify slide release for $12 which looks like it'll come with the piece I need so yh

  12. Ares usually kinda shite but the Amoebas are supposed to be alright. Personally think they're really ugly and look nothing like the real AAC Honey Badger - but whatever floats your boat.
  13. Airsoft GI now doing international shipping

  14. Yeah I was gonna say use Abbey 134a gas (the lower powered stuff) but it seems most people use green gas in theirs. The newer models are definitely more robust and I think Marui have made them so they can withstand more powerful gases. Just really applies to their older guns.
  15. Huh well I posted a status about wanting a 416C and heard they are bad :| or at least the WE is supposedly much better
  16. Not too sure but I think they're lower powered. I've heard the EU / US version is more durable too. Wouldn't recommend you buy it though VFC make shite GBBRs apparently.
  17. Stick an M100 in there. Some sites might allow 351-352 but I doubt they'd allow 355.
  18. KX3 ended up in the right place Gave the Glock a clean and is so much better now Can't wait to skirmish it again
  19. I'd say it doesn't need any upgrading but others may know better. At least I wouldn't bother with the hop rubber, TM hop unit / rubber are already excellent stock. Just read your post again and realised you've already bought the stuff. Welcome to the forum by the way
  20. You'll see a lot of us won't recommend sniping for a beginner. There are lots of people who do and love it but generally people find it isn't what they expected. It would be better to start off with a good AEG in my opinion, because you usually have to spend a lot on snipers to get them to perform well too.
  21. Some will use gas or CO2 (for example the Hakkotsu Thunder B, 12g CO2 in the bottom) Personally I would recommend the TRMR also - although I haven't actually used one they use inexpensive shotgun primers. There's no gas / CO2, you don't need to replace the shell every time, no spoon or pin to get lost either. There's a new one coming out soon but can't remember the name right now.
  22. The Mk12 SPR in the film has a Hogue grip so it's gonna have to be a GBBR unless you can mod one to fit a motor somehow... Don't know about different models of scope so can't help you there but I have a feeling it'll be a Leupold. Standard looking crane stock. Knight's Armament RIS? A fairly standard / generic looking suppressor to me, so you could probably get away with any cheap standard ones or anything with the wrong trades on since it's getting painted.
  23. Welcome to the forums mate! Definitely a good start joining a forum cos I can guarantee it's incredibly helpful.
  24. Oh I thought you meant plate carrier by the title. Case - Cooler Master (G Lite?) CPU - Intel i5 3570k GPU - HIS IceQX 5870 (IIRC) RAM - Corsair Vengeance 4GB DDR5 HD - Seagate Barracuda 2TB Can't remember a lot of the specs No idea on the PSU MBoard - Gigabyte (that's all I remember) Monitor - Samsung Speakers - Creative epic £4 pro gaming mouse beast £4 mat Used to have Plantronics Gamecom 777s (amazing headset but broke quickly cos it was a refurbished model)
