  1. Tactical Kit are superb...ordered from them loads They own Gunpoint Gear as well Can't comment on the goggles though, sorry
  2. Nowt great, just showing the head setups I have atm Got a good idea of kit I want to buy for a woodland (MARPAT) loadout but not starting it for a while since I've already got this gear (real reason: not enough money) Since I'm under 18 idk but I think there's still the rule on full face pro? So the skull mask is for if they don't allow just wearing a shemagh
  3. I think a G&G Combat Machine would be better...they're not much more (cheapest model £117 from Zero One Airsoft, can get them other places like Pro Airsoft Supplies, Airsoft World, LWA I think) £25 seems really expensive for a two-tone paint job, most places are £10-£15. Zero One does it for free but it is not great quality paint. Probably still better than paying another £10+ oh and you get a voucher included for a skirmish when you buy from them too which is great I don't think either the G&G nor DYTAC come with a battery or charger so might be another £20-£30 for those Worth it in the end though if you can save up the extra to afford it as they will last a long time, and as said in the other thread unfortunately anything cheaper is not very good
  4. Welcome to the forum! You're right there aren't many electric guns with 'recoil' (really just a vibration, but a lot more fun to shoot) There's the Tokyo Marui 'Recoil Shock' range, but they're ~ £450+ Bolt, but apparently they break quickly (ERG RM4 is nicer anyway) Lastly will mention G&P. They tried it but doesn't seem to have been very popular at all (the recoil feature seems non-existent) Downside with the PTS ERG is that I don't know anywhere which has them in stock anymore? Maybe Redwolf...LWA sold out ages ago then suddenly had 2 or 3 back in stock again - went quickly Also if you wanted to swap out the handguard for a RIS there's no space for the battery so you'd have to use a battery box like an AN/PEQ-15 replica KWA were supposed to release a new rear-wired version but never did G&Gs are definitely a good choice as a starter gun, can't go wrong with them at all (I only know ONE exception which is the M416s -called the T418 I think- which come with sh*t MOSFETs) Depends what your budget is really... I'd like to say that parts were interchangeable as with real M4s but really aren't Some guns will be very specific with which magazines they will take (as in how well they actually fit in the magwell and the feeding etc) On my sh*tty CYMA M4 I have tried a PTS ACS stock but it wobbles a lot, yet would probably work fine on a G&G and others You'll probably have most problems with cheaper guns as the better quality rifles are made to more accurately to exact dimensions and tighter tolerances closer to real firearms Hope this helps and it's alright to repeat stuff, it happens all the time from beginners and experienced guys It's a complicated hobby + people learn about guns themselves and all the different airsoft manufacturers and then there's regulations we have don't help - probably puts a lot of people off and especially with the amount of misinformation that goes around about it being a licence and so on
  5. Never known anyone's LiPos set on fire / explode etc Getting a smart charger would make sure they don't overcharge too
  6. TM, and yeah doesn't need any upgrades...cos it's a TM
  7. Nope not The Outpost actually :| got confused (my dad has booked it) First & Only's Khe Sahn Woods in Otley
  8. Usually you have to go to three skirmishes (within a year, can't do all of them in under 2 months iirc) until you get your defence. Not a member of F&O so not sure if it's different if you do that but I'm interested if it means you can get it straight away. Unfortunately I don't think they do have anywhere to change though. My local CQB site doesn't have it and I've never heard anywhere else has this facility. Yep they'll always explain everything Preload as in you can put rounds in your magazines but don't put the mag int gun. They don't like guns loaded whilst you're in the 'safe zone' for obvious reasons. Gas up pistol mags when you get there. Gloves would be a good idea on top of that
  9. Yeah true...I know what you're saying but surely can't be that bad?

  11. I think it's supposed to be alright...I'll see what this is like when it comes but can't say much just from a balaclava - have not owned any of their other gear like jackets I'd imagine it's basically like lower end / mid range tactical gear, a bit like Helikon kind of quality Apparently they have supplied the Greek military so must be pretty good
  12. Pentagon Balaclava in olive...lost my Helikon one somehow :\
  13. Buy an Airsoft Innovations propane kit and you could use Coleman propane
  14. An exception would be the 'Honey Badger' ... it looks sh*t too
  15. Tactical Tailor Mini MAV (Coyote Brown) Helikon USMC MCCUU MARPAT Trousers if I sell anything on here within the next few days
  16. What's Cerberus Airsoft's 'The Outpost' like?

  17. The CYMA Glock 18s (CM.030) are pretty popular. I'd imagine quality is the same so yeah should be good as a first pistol http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft-pistols/asg-glock-18c-electric-airsoft-pistol.htm#.VSpsLfnF-Ps
  18. WE Glocks are good - http://airsoftzone.co.uk/airsoft-guns/pistols/g17-gen4-pistol-gbb-we Downside would be I think they are really common (like how a lot of people all seem to buy G&G Combat Machine M4s) Tokyo Marui pistols are worth considering. They're above budget ~£120+ and you sacrifice some realism (Plastic slides, not metal) but get much better performance and gas efficency. It would cost more in the long term for green gas / propane compared to an electric gun. Also for skirmishing it would be better to have a rifle before a pistol (Unless you are going to be doing indoor CQB rather than outdoors)
  19. I completely understand your reasoning behind buying something cheap, a lot of people don't want to spend loads and / or want to see if they enjoy it (You should go to a skirmish a few times and hire, could get UKARA whilst you're at it?) It also gets pretty confusing with the choice of stuff and legalities (VCR Act, UKARA etc) I realise it's only for target practice, but I don't think a spring rifle is worth spending £50 on. I doubt it will be sturdy and reliable either and it's definitely not a good starter gun. It's probably worth mentioning we don't actually rate JustBBGuns very highly as you can see from thread in the 'Places to Buy' section For that price I'd recommend taking a look at the DE tri-shot shotguns which are pretty decent and skirmishable as well. In the UK the least you could spend on an electric airsoft gun would be £100+, something like a JG G36 as already mentioned, CYMA AK or G&G M4.
  20. SAS / SBS in Afghan would probably be wearing either walking style trousers or Crye G3s depending on the role at that time. There was an article on UKSF load outs not too long ago in AI or that other one
  21. Can't give any experience but I'd take a look at TRMRs, no pin or spoon to get lost like the others. Uses shotgun primers rather than 9mm / 12g Blanks so it's cheaper to run. There's at least two new BFGs coming out soon though as well.
