I can honestly say I've never blown a 'fet. I have fitted several (mostly Gate ones - Nano in my M4, Pico in my AK - and a BTC in my SCAR, plus others in friends guns). Maybe because I used to do this kind of stuff for a living? Peoples complete inability to solder doesn't seem to put them off having a go.

Well...if we keep this curmudgeonly behaviour up we'll have no worries about FB kids joining and spoiling the ambience...

I know there's been a few join today that were on UKAC on FB but I think it's only right they have a fair crack of the whip same as everyone else.

It's a valid point but I always found that ghillie suits are a pain in the arse to move around in undergrowth so unless you have a role that suits being stationary for a while (like being a sniper) they're probably not worth the hassle.
