  1. If you check out Airsoft Zone in London, they are currently out of stock but are almost the same price as LWA
  2. Personally, I think this topic smacks of a lynching posse. The OP has made a post. You might not agree with whats been said and irrespective of whether you decide to join up or ignore the offer, is it fair to snarl, snap and gang-up ? I don't use another Airsoft forum because if you ever say something that isn't liked by the like minded clique that dominate the forum, they gang up and turn on you. Lets not get the same on here.
  3. Looks like same weapon, but with a low cap mag and one with a hi cap mag. Id go LWA - not impressed with after sales service of AW.
  4. Quite a few. Dragons Lair, AWA at Sawbridgeworth. There are plenty of sites the other side of the bridge in Kent, but that can be a pain getting back on Sunday evening. We organise milsims at different locations and the next one is just round the M25 at Kings Langley, which is into Herts
  5. Welcome from another Essex player
  6. RPGs sorted. This is the latest camp
  7. No less. Why would a longer barrel increase range. ?
  8. I think I bought mine from PAS. http://www.proairsoftsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/HI-CAP-530R-Magazine-for-UMG-G-G-G_08_041.html http://airsoftzone.co.uk/magazines/submachine-gun-magazines/umg-magazine-530rnd-hi-cap-gng http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=272&products_id=2275
  9. I would agree with JC. I have experience of G&G, Real Sword, G&P and Tokyo Marui. Ive only ever used WE for GBB pistols and have had no problems but don't use them hard as they are a sidearm. G&P annoy me slightly because some of their rifles don't come with any instructions at all. By comparison, the TM have very good instructions. G&G are a good all rounder and have different build levels for different budgets.
  10. Enjoy. Drove from Jacksonville Fla to Houston once, all down the east coast and have driven from Vancouver across the border into Seattle. Be careful, especially in some of the redneck states and in the bars. Easy guns and hot tempers don't mix. The biggest mistake I ever made in the states was assuming that we all speak the same language. After a lot of misunderstandings, I found the best way to communicate effectively was to speak slow and choose my words carefully.
  11. Welcome. No, I have the G&G version ( T4-18 ) of the 416.
  12. Sounds like a bad joint in the PTT. If this is the case, then its a quality control problem. Cant visualise what you are saying about the plug. Photo ?
  13. No not really - trying to take it all in really as there was always something to notice (even with the remaining exhibitors). My favourite was the re-enactment scenarios - the German WW2 ones were brilliant and a lot of work must have gone into the ruined buildings and detail ones. Noticed Scopeys mob, Socom Tactical, BadgerTac and Airsoft World had stands there.
  14. Went today. Have uploaded the pictures to the Airsoft SOFSIM group on Facebook. Bit disappointed to pass 20+ military vehicles going the other way as we drove down to the show at 9am. Seems a lot of exhibitors were bailing out early. The organisers still charged £20 each to get in and in fairness, there was lots left to see. A lot of the remaining exhibitors were packing up at 2pm, so we wont be going again on the Sunday. Strange to see lots of children walking around with Airsoft weapons in such a public place, but I'm sure somebody was checking to ensure they were without batteries.
  15. War and Peace tomorrow ! RPGs to ID for the Okto Eight milsim in September. Look for some Afghans they said - I'll do my best I replied !
  16. Good luck. Shouldn't be a problem providing its private land with no public access and you keep it to a tight circle of friends and family with no reward. The problems start if the public can walk through when you are playing and complain to the police or if you get bored of playing with the same people and start involving friends of friends.
  17. Preparations are underway for the Okto Eight Milsim to be held at Kings Langley in Hertfordshire on 20th and 21st September. To make the game more interesting for the three teams in the game, there are a number of toys to play with. Some are just non-functioning props and others do things like make big bangs. Here is one of the toys; its a laser designator which can be used to direct air support.
  18. Teeth getting chipped is a real likelihood unless you protect your mouth. Ive got the Lexan flip up shield on one gun and a kill flash on another (ACOG). The killflash looks a lot better and probably offers better all angle protection. Its like an insurance policy for optics but will increase your investment in optics. Good luck with your UKARA - you know you have to do at least three games in more than two months don't you, so its going to take until mid to late September irrespective of how many times you play ?
  19. Ive got a few TopTech weapons and will second that. Airsoft Zone in Romford are good too
  20. Hi. I skirmish occasionally at AWA at Sawbridgeworth and am into milsims, of which the next one is being held at Kings Langley further round on the M25 J20. Welcome to the forum. Not been to Billericay personally, but some of the guys I see at AWA have been there.
  21. There are a few magnifiers on the market, but its difficult to know how they will align with your Aimpoint. I have an Eotech sight with a flip down x4 magnifier and they are fine. Why dont you get your sight fitted and then post the centre dimensions and the type of magnifier you want, to see if somebody has one and can confirm the corresponding centre dimensions ?
