Krytac is a solid choice, they're very nicely put together guns. TM high cycle CRB is another decent option, trigger response on them is very fast, which is nice for CQB.

The half cycle thing is a V2 gearbox problem, not just krytac, any AEG M4 without a cycle completing mosfet will do it.

I use abbey predator gas in mine, runs fine and it's got lube in it to stop your seals perishing etc. As for cleaning/lube I just recently disassembled my stock TM glock 17 after about 18 months of zero maintenance, four drops of oil and it was back to peak performance! Holsters are a bit of a pain, since the TM Glock is slightly wider than a real one, Fobus ones fit without mods though and they do a range which will accept flashlights too. Speaking of flashlights, I'll second what proffrink said on the element X300 clones, they're decent for the money. Though if you really want to blind the fuck out of people in CQB go for a genuine surefire X300U, leave people seeing little purple blotches for about 20 minutes

I store mine with a 1 second squirt of abbey maintenance gas, it's not enough to put the seals 'under pressure' but the lubricant in it will keep the o-rings in good health.

yeah, I don't think any airsoft gun is going to kill an EOTech, I used one on a .50cal for more than 500 rounds last year with no issues.

Honestly, spending £350 on upgrades on a SRC gun is the very definition of polishing a turd. Open it up, give the barrel a good clean and maybe spend £10 on a new hop bucking if you require it. Spend the rest on a krytac gun and be done with it.

I shoot at the middle of what I can see, if someone's only sticking their head out then my point of aim is going to be their nose. Likewise if someone's moving quickly and I full auto at them to increase my chances of a hit and some of those shots hit them in the face/head, tough luck. If you don't like getting shot in the face, wear a full face mask. Only time I have ever complained about being shot in the face is when I got a row of 5 full auto shots across my face with my arms up and a red rag on my head from about 15' away while stood in the open. The guy claimed to not be able to tell I was dead... I had a bit of a flash at that.
