  1. Anybody else had problems getting a Pro-Win M4 hop unit to fit? It won't go by about 1 or 2mm; I'm presuming due to the flat shape of the top section, as opposed to the slanted shape of normal hop units, perhaps?

      The army one is compatible.

I think the problem in yours is that your outer barrel "chamber" is too short and that's why the prowin doesn't fit.

I'll give that a check and see. Cheers!

  2. Gorka and Digi-Flora arrived!

  3. Where in North Yorkshire, and what needs doing?
  4. An M16 mag? First of all; give it a dose of percussive maintenance against something solid (yes, seriously). Sometimes things can just get stuck and need a good whack to free things up. If that doesn't help, look at the bottom of the mag & undo the screw there. You should then be able to just pull the inside of the magazine out through the top; you *may* need to push the two little tabs each side of it near the top in to do so, but it should just slide straight out. Then it's just a case of manually spinning the gears inside to see what the problem is; usually when a hi-cap stops feeding for me, you'll be turning the main wheel and see the small brass gear won't be spinning; or will only be spinning occasionally. Fixing it may need you to take the insides apart completely; but we'll come to that later.
  5. How long ago last year were you playing, and was it at the same site as you are playing at now? If they were less than 12 months ago; you may be able to use one of them as your three games and be eligible already!
  6. It's always this time of the weekend when I actually start wondering if I can actually be bothered going shooting in the morning or not.

New site perhaps - either more serious or more of a chilled laid back back style - either or but with decent fair playing players. A site is only as good as the people and Marshals that play/operate it

I've tried all the ones within travelling distance unfortunately.

I'm just waiting for my main site to re-open now winter's on it's way out.

Sometimes you just need to take a break so you appreciate it more when you go back to it.

  7. So I've heard. G&G perfects are what I use and can recommend.
  8. .28s are what I run and they're definitely worthwhile!
  9. Indeed! I think the small size of the parcel *might* have helped possibly. The shipping was ¥1500, or just over £9 so even if they do sting you you'll only be out by about £4/5 now they have free shipping.
  10. I wasn't charged any import, taxes or anything on mine, and that was about a month ago; but factor it in just in case.
  11. Just checked: It was ¥6684 in total, so just under £42!
  12. It might be worthwhile looking on X-Fire for a Pdi barrel. I ordered a 205mm 6.05 with two PDI buckings and it came out at about £40 in total or thereabouts; a bit cheaper than just a UK based Prometheus barrel alone would have been: and that's shipped from Japan!
  13. Just to check: Under 18s buying & using pyrotechnics on site. It *is* illegal, right?

Really? Huh. I would have thought otherwise!

Ah well, I don't go there, so no great worry to me either way!

      Cheers guys.

when i was under 18, you can get an over 18 to buy the pyro's off site for you and give them to you(like gifting a RIF, no money or services to be exchanged) and use them on, i think its the sale of them which is the issue as its selling pyrotechnics/fireworks to a minor, hence a lot of sites ban under 18's from "buying" pyros but not many specify the age to use!

Given issues of consent to the health and safety risk posed by pyro, I doubt it's a sales issue. It's much more likely to be an issue where an non-adult cannot waive responsibility for any injury liability from the adults/company responsible.

  14. Well he's on here now, too!
  15. Masses of sites in the area. Have a look on the map here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=z2GXXsfQNs9k.kSKs1lEn_I3o
  16. Or even adding onto the new price...?
  17. Well that didn't take long. AA12 for sale
  18. Non airsoft related; but is anyone familiar with trading/sale/purchase laws with regards to Ebay/distance selling? Got a friend having a bit of trouble with a likely scammer and would like some help. Professional knowledge ideally; no 'a friend told me this' etc. Thanks!

Aye, that's pretty much what we've been telling them. Advised them to go down to citizens advice anyway, to get a professional opinion.

      Thanks for the help guys.

Stroppy seller - I'd say forward their details to trading standards but they won't do much on just one notification. But all the same wish they get a visit if selling fake goods at near real prices and buyers getting tucked up after paying good money

Distance Selling Regs have been phased out and replaced with Consumer Contracts Regulations and Consumer Rights Act, but basically a combination of the 2 mean the seller has zero chance of this making it past an initial hearing in court.

  19. I bought the Vz58 compact, simply because they're the only one that makes one currently. Happy enough with it so far (hop bucking was crap as standard though) but I'm always waiting for the moment it's going to go kaput on me!
  20. A Productive evening! AK47s gearbox upgraded and running consistently, and my long-term dead/problematic AKS74 is back up and running! :D

  21. Anyone off to Farmistan this Sunday?

  22. New barrel & bucking installed in the VZ58. See how she runs next Sunday! Also got a disassembly guide for the 58 in progress. :)

Nice what brand did you go with?

  23. Some brands of inner barrels have both style notches, look for one of them.
  24. Do you not have to completely disassemble the front end? Take the front sight and all that off first. It looks a little bit like a CA AK from that photo, which needs all that doing to it.
