  1. Omw back from the Midlands Airsoft Fair.

It was okay, but not quite as good as the last one in 2019, imo.

Picked up a CYMA AK74U, a few mags & sights and that was about it.

Typical that I realised I could have got myself a railed upper receiver for it there too, only AFTER I'm on the way home. 😤😂

  2. Something like riot shields are going to be very site specific. You'll have to ask the site(s) you're planning on going to to find out.
  3. I've never heard of those terms. Where have you seen them?
  4. Try outdoor and Tactical. They don't do the super heavyweight ammo in bio, but you can get Geoffs naturals up to at least 0.45g. https://www.outdoorandtactical.co.uk/product-category/consumables/bbs/bio
  5. Yeah, definitely chrono with your chosen weight before anything. I know my T10 is/was coming in around 2.1J on 0.45s last time I checked it at home, but last time I played it was doing 420ish on a 0.2, so there's definitely room for some creeping. In other news, I ran my T11 at the last game after a rebuild. (tried one of the modify x range buckings with a modify barrel but it was running like trash) I put in the previous Lambda 6.05 barrel with a 70° maple leaf MR bucking and ran it all day without problem; didn't set the hop up beyond a quick couple minutes but I was reaching out to 92m consistently so I figured that'd do! 😂
  6. Assuming your site is regular limits; 1.13J =350fps on a 0.20 then you'll be fine. Even assuming you're using 0.28s at 270fps you'll be putting out about 0.95J So that should easily be under the limit. 👌
  7. If it's anything like the AA hop unit for VSRs, then turning it clockwise will be adding more hop. You'll want to turn your hop down, not up.
  8. Yes, try heavy ammo as well as adjusting your hop. 0.28s are too light for sniper use. You want to be looking at 0.40s as a minimum, 0.43s and above ideally.
  9. Ahh I saw that one. Not really applicable for me unfortunately, wobble of the dial isn't a problem I've had thankfully.
  10. Do you have that video to hand, please?
  11. Posting as I'm in the same boat. Took it out for its first game on Sunday, I planned to run 0.36s but they were just too much for the standard hop. 0.28s weren't much better either. I've got the combat union hop unit now installed with a maple leaf 60° bucking & nub, just have to wait to be able to test it now. I noticed that the fps can drop massively depending on how much hop is added; at full hop it has dropped to under 200fps, from around 450 on none.
  12. Whilst not in a T10, (Though I do have one, and a T11) I went through similar to you re: shorter barrel & power. I bought A Well MB03, replaced the long outer barrel with a G-Spec length outer barrel and found the Rapax 3J to give me around 2.1J currently, with the AA Hop unit, a Maple leaf 70 MR bucking and TNT 300mm inner barrel combined with an AA Teflon cylinder and SCW 90 air-braked piston.
  13. Problem with getting it from taiwangun is that it'll still be full auto out of the box, and at 450~Fps it's a little spicy!
  14. Ahhhhh, that'll be why then! Yeah that explains it, thanks!
  15. Strange. I get no option at all unless I choose a different country. 🤔
  16. So what's the status on new orders with them currently? Are new orders for UK customers on hold still? I see lots of people having delays, but I've tried filling in an order out of curiosity and I'm not even getting the option to put one through; it gives me "Your shopping cart contains the following errors:Choose delivery method" But there's no option to choose anything.
  17. UKARA set minimum engagement distances now apparently?

    That's news to me. 🤔 🤔 🤔

      Maybe he meant 50 feet...

You know, when you use an inferior unit for measures that relies on fuck all logic :P

Let's just say the head marshal hates snipers.

on a serious note, sites should figure out at what distance a heavy bb fired at 2.3J drops its energy to a "safe" level (say 1J). Your 20m bog standard MED was calculated on a 0.20g bb being fired at 500 fps, we all know that heavy bbs retain their energy for a longer time/distance and that nobody with at least one working brain cell would use 0.2s in a 2.3J gun.

No, he definitely meant metres. "I was in the army, I know distances!" 🤪

Like I say, I've no problem with sites running any rules they want, just the passing bullshit off as fact. 😂

@Skara i did run the math on it, a 2.5j shot with a 0.2gbb has 0.39j at 20m, with a 0.5g bb you're talking 1.27j, which lines up surprisingly well with a 1.3j limit for auto/non MED pews

  18. Haha, too old for that! Some of it was from myself and the rest from the missus!
  19. Got some new bits as a birthday treat, can't wait to actually get out and use them finally!
  20. You can always get a small ring connector for the wire and use the little screw to secure it that way.
  21. Yeah, used them plenty of times and not had any real trouble. Had some sizing issues, but they were good dealing with returns.
  22. I joined the ever-growing AAP owners recently, and treated myself to the AA hop unit. Paired it with a 130mm ZCI barrel from @ak2m4 So I can replace the whole hop & barrel in one go, and keep the original set up if needed. Currently using a flamingo V2, but I've also got a couple of maple leaf buckings on order too. (I thought I had some more spare, but obviously not). Can't wait to get out & use it next weekend!
  23. Thanks guys. In that case I'll go with somewhere else. Much appreciated!
  24. Is it? I tried it, and it's in Portsmouth. bbg4l is in Essex. *edit. Just seen there's two addresses, and the one you mean. Yeah, that's right, thank you!
