  1. Also, you're not going to magically get better range or Accuracy just be switching to a gas gun. What ammo do you use currently? Have a look at switching to heavier ammo to start with, as well as maybe cleaning or even replacing your barrel & bucking. If you're struggling with having to fire excessively to get a hit now, then switching to a GBBR is only going to exacerbate this, but with a reduced magazine capacity.
  2. Why not just take your gun to a store and find one that fits?

Looking for a motor with a medium length shaft. Ideally high torque, but it depends on what's out there, I guess!

    £20

    Hartlepool - GB

  4. This is how it currently is. Not used it in a while though, I have to say. I find DMRs to be kind of awkward, I'm likely to use either a bolt action or a normal AEG more often, I should remedy this in the new year!
  5. I struggled to get any decent performance out of mine with a maple leaf MR or Macaron variant. One of the very basic original 60º Maple leafs seemed to work okay for a while, but not having a range to test it out on, it was a long slow process of 'build up and set for a safe power with no hop' then take it out to a game, set the hop and then test it. Often resulting in being massively under the power limit once I got my hop set for my chosen weight (either 0.32 or 0.36) and then requiring me to come back home, disassemble the gearbox to install a new spring to suit. (Later on I bought an SVD-S that had a quick change spring I could change without taking the gun apart. So much easier!) By now, over a year and a half after originally getting it, I ended up with a 650mm 6.02 tightbore (maybe ZCI, I can't remember?) with a smaller window, and just a basic design bucking. (Laylax 60º blue) That seemed to give a reliable, fairly consistent performance that I just wasn't getting with any of the fancier buckings. Gearbox wise, I got one of the FPS nozzles with o-rings, some piston o rings from @ak2m4 and a guarder M110 that ended up giving me around 1.64J once hop was set.
  6. @ak2m4 with another Christmas miracle!

Ordered some internals for my latest project, not expecting to see them until after Christmas, when they arrived about 15 minutes ago!

    Excellent service as usual 😀

Now, the postman who's seemingly unable to work a doorbell is another matter!

Had to quickly put on some shoes and chase him down the road before he disappeared! 😂

Oh no! The motor doesn't fit! 😩

Apparently it's some sort of weird medium size between a short & long type!

  7. Are you chronoing with or without hop up? And does the chrono have fresh batteries? I've had my own struggles with the Cyma SVD, that took a long time to get anywhere near resolving unfortunately!

As the title says, I'm after a hop unit for either a G3 or Sig 550 series. (I'm 99% sure that they're the same, looking at them side by side). The only thing is, I'm after one from any brand except Jing Gong. So Marui, Classic army or even ICS are all acceptable, but due to dimensions and tolerances I'm not after a JG version. Thanks!

    NO VALUE SPECIFIED

  9. I actually managed to make a purchase the other day, finally! Someone I messaged a couple of weeks ago and heard nothing from, and once the updates came in I saw that the advert was 8 months old so I figured I'd not hear anything. Then out of the blue, I got a reply and eventually got it all done and dusted!
  10. I bought this on a whim recently, as a small project, and got to the point where I'm wanting to remove the safety to access the air nozzle/ cylinder assembly. Unfortunately, all the guides online don't cover the VM9, And it's just different enough so that the WE/Maruti etc. guides don't apply. I can't remove the safety Switch in order to remove the rest of it, and now I'm a bit stumped. (see photos below) It looks like I should just have to remove the right hand lever, the little securing screw and then rotate the main safety on the left side clockwise so that it's free from the slide and then it should just pop out easily. Does anyone have any experience with this, or suggestions? Thanks! *Never mind! It was the actual nozzle/cylinder unit itself that was getting in the way. That needed to be slid forwards as you remove the safety. I knew that once I'd posted this, I'd end up sorting it! 🤡😂
  11. Try one of these. https://www.bztactical.co.uk/rebel-battery-1450mah-lipo-11-1v-30c-stick-mini-tamiya Looks to be smaller than the one you linked. What gun is it for?
  12. I've had both the clones and TM, and tbh. I'd never go back to a clone nowadays. The trigger isn't as good, the mags are finicky, and the feed lips are more fragile - they don't load as smoothly. Plus, I've always had issues with performance of the clones after a while, where the power drops, and often doesn't feed. Contrast that with the Marui versions that I've had for several years, and had no issues.
  13. A Christmas bargain! Cyma M40A3 For only £400, and no details whatsoever. You don't even get the scope. 🥲 https://prefired.co.uk/ads/cyma-cm-700a-m40a3-spring-sniper-rifle/
  14. As Galvatron says, this is actually a good time in Airsoft to get back into the second hand market sales, with discords updated TOS crushing one of the most popular platforms for sales. Advertising would definitely be one route to add sustainability to it on a financial basis, as well as what some of the other second hand sales sites do; (Either Prefired or Used Airsoft, I can't remember which) which is to charge a small amount weekly for adverts, with the option of additional services, such as highlighting, putting adverts to the top etc. as well as buying a 6 month to a year membership that allows unlimited adverts without paying for each one individually. The platform itself is sound, it's unfortunately just the deficient IQ of some of the users that have made it a pain to use (but this can be said about Airsoft as a whole really!) As an aside @ItsDave had anyone ever messaged you before, regarding the lack of emails/notifications, or was this just an unknown issue to you?
  15. Just had a brief talk with one of the admins or staff of AirsoftHub after an idle message that tbh, I didn't think would actually go anywhere. They've said that the notifications issue should be rectified now, and they've also added dates to all placed adverts so you can see when they were posted now. After this, it goes a long way to seeing why a lot of sellers I've messaged never actually reply; as some adverts were over a year old in some cases! If anyone else uses it, either as a seller or buyer, can you post and let us know if the notifications issue has actually been sorted? It'd be much appreciated. I'd do it myself, but there's nothing on there I can find that I'm interested in, now I can see the age of each advert! 😅 Ah, what timing! 😂 I literally just posted about this and saw that someone had replied as I was typing it out. @ItsDave I'm the one that messaged you earlier, I'll be quite honest, after all the other views and comments regarding the site, I assumed that it was already a dead site, or at least on its way there. I messaged more out of frustration than anything, not expecting to hear back from anyone, but I'm very surprised and pleased to have got such a quick reply, let alone actually having anything done about it, so I'll say thank you for that!

    Try the appraisals section.
  17. You're also missing out on his (undisclosed) ex two-tone HPA L96 with an upgraded motor(?) 🤔 https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/item/58580-hpa-sniper-rifle/
  18. It's useless. Had the same thing recently with multiple people, and no-one ever bothers to check their adverts. Unless they put on a phone number or other way to contact them in their advert, don't even bother.

      Yeah it's a nightmare.

It used to send you an email when you got a message but that feature broke a while back.

You don't get an email anymore when someone messaged you.

Fair enough, and maybe it's just me but if I put up an advert, I'd be certain to check on it regularly.

  20. Well it just came with the gun. Idk if you can source one new separately, so it'd probably have to be acquired second hand.
  21. Adding Mine that have already been on here in a different thread, but why the hell not?
  22. Are WE Glock mags compatible between generations?

Could I use a Gen5 mag in something that uses Gen 3 or 4?

Been so long since I last owned anything Glock shaped I'm out of the loop!

I have gen 3 WE glock 17s (several) and a WE gen5 Glock 19. The gen 3 mags will happily fit and feed in the gen 5 Glock 19 (but i obviously can't test the other way due to the glock 19 mags being too short to fit in a Glock 17). IIRC the only difference in the gen 5 glock mags for a WE is that they have mag release cutouts on both sides, as the gen 5 allows the mag release to be reversed for a left handed shooter.

Ok that's great news. Thank you!

  23. I don't think it's compatible with anything unfortunately. It's a cheap, basic "almost-but-not-quite" VSR that's off-spec just enough to not fit any of the common parts.
