Yh I have had the same frustration as you :/

  2. Discovered it through GunMart back in 1997 when they still had an airsoft section, and started off with a few schoolmates on a friend's farmland. Soon after, I discovered X-ring & airsoft.org then venturing out to one of the few sites that existed nearby at that time. Joined a team down in Sheffield a few years later & eventually here I am now...wondering if it's all still worth it!
  3. It closed down as Op-Tac, and got taken over by Skirmish. By all accounts it's much improved compared to the previous lot (Barring losing part of the site) and much safer than it was.
  4. Quick question: Does anyone know offhand what size the spade connectors for motors are?

If it is 2.8mm that's perfect. Can get them for 16p each in that case.

Component shop sell small ones for 16p a throw but they're not gold plated (although that's actually NOT an issue for motor connections BTW). They're 1/8" hence 2.8mm as SD said.

      Cheers guys. :)

  5. I thought it would. Just wondering as SS called it a non-RIF.
  6. I don't see how that one can count as actually two tone...

  9. They do run a store, but It's online only, AFAIK.
  10. Hi from Hartlepool! Get yourself down to rifleworks airsoft sometime. They're having their opening day tomorrow, and not far from Durham.
  11. Does anybody here have experience with a variety of Sig 552s? I bought one second hand the other week and curious as to what it is. All I know, is it's not TM, and it's been painted so I can't tell by trades or design etc.

      Mystery solved...It's an ICS!

After all the fuss, I noticed an otherwise useless button above the stock that had the ICS logo on. XD

Thats not a useless button its the catch to seperate upper and lower receiver.

I've not tried doing that yet, so I've no idea!

It was never present on the other ones.

  12. Be aware that Madbull buckings can be a right PITA to fit sometimes; they're thicker than most & so can get stuck easily when installing. The nubs are also vastly oversized which can lead to jamming if you don't replace it with one smaller. (But then you'll need to make sure the nub is hard enough to actually exert enough hop without deforming). If I were you, before ordering I would check the nub you have installed to see if it's simply too soft & replace it with something better. Remove the barrel & hop unit and look down the barrel as you increase hop to see if it's actually putting sufficient hop on. I've had similar problems where this has been the cause.
  13. Ohhh Facebook sales groups. You *are* good for a laugh sometimes.

  14. Fair enough then! I'd imagine you'll still have the dreaded parcelforce handling fee though; but otherwise, go for it in that case! (Might be worth messaging them & seeing if they'll drop it to 320/330 instead though; in case you decide to get a TBB at a later date).
  15. It's JG; They're usually quite passable, but will likely be hot out of the box & need downgrading, plus maybey a service & a hop change. If you're not experienced with working on gearboxes, then I'd say add another £60-70 on top of that price for all the work, parts, plus shipping & import fees.
  16. If you can stretch to it; LW have one G&P M16 VN remaining on offer; it would likely end up cheaper & easier than converting an ICS! **Edit. I'm actually tempted by it now, tbh!
  17. The foregrip *may* not be compatible if it's cross-manufacturers. ICS tend to be somewhat different to most other brands, and I can't recall ICS making a Vietnam version off the top of my head; which means it's gonna be taken from another make.
  18. Little photo of it. Cheap & simple. Just like me!
  19. He's saying don't trust the others around you just because they're older than the person TheGrover mentioned. Each and every person can be an idjit given the right circumstances.
  20. For shotgun primers, I use the tubes that inner barrels come in, cut Down to hold around 8. Holds them securely & with no rattle.
  21. The old Marui SR16s used to come with the same style too, I thought it was broken too, when I first saw mine!
  22. Today was the quickest & easiest packing of kit for a game ever! (But only because most of my stuff was all still in the bags from an game that never happened last week). XD

  23. I normally wait for one of my gullible friends to buy one and then I'll see how it performs. No risk then!
