I've ended up with a G&G combat machine. Convoluted deals and swaps and somehow i've ended up with a rather long, dull looking G&G combat machine. It has the OEM mosfet on board (auto/3 shot) and i've done the shim/greased/compression parts thing, so "it shoots good bruh". Only it looks a little, er, generic m4. Which it is, i grant you. Most of my toys on the wall of joy are different (aug, G3, Ak47, P90, M90x honey badger) but i fancy either painting it in an odd ball colour, ie, silver/chrome or aircraft grey. just as i like things to be a bit different to every other ball slinger on the field. Paint is not an issue, i live near a model shop (where all the lads in there actually do airsoft anyway!). Anyone painted their pew in a different manner to "oem black" or "random rattle can camo"? I'm in the FB group "rattle can that sh*t" but all they seem to be interesting in is camo and toes. ? Its that dull i dont even have a picture of it yet.

Welcome back to the fray. Sidcup is about as far into "Londinium" as i go as i went once and it seemed to be full of strange people, so i avoid it now. And i live in dartford, so i know what strange means.... There's a few sites around north Kent (garden of England my ass!). Ultimate wargames in Fawkham (think brands hatch and you're not far off) Should be my regular site considering its a whole 2 miles from me.. Apocolypse 249 down the M20 near maidstone (sittingbourne, banjo country) my regular site and i like it as i can take the boy on a saturday as they have U18's days. Red 1, Chislehurst. Not been to that one yet, more CQB than trees i've heard. Invicta airsoft, nice site, good food too. Gunman airsoft, down in tonbridge. Yet to try this one and looks to have some interesting takes on milsimmy type stuff.

Take my AUG for example.... Head is RIGHT NEXT to the damn gearbox when youre using it. Original TM gearbox was the typical AEG noise box and wasn't great. Shimmed it properly, new gears (after the sector ate itself with the addition of a new spring ) and a decent splodge of grease (i use CV joint grease on my gears). Sounded ok. So then i went mad and added some dynamat inside (have to say, not the nicest of jobs but it works!) and then a Warhead motor. The barrel stops short of the end of the "suppressor" so it dissipates some of the pop of the tightbore. Its quiet. Not HPAw quiet, but enough to get comments on it. Now if i could just get it to fire in semi, instead of just auto, life would be awesome.... ?

We're trying to print it on its side next. Got one shot out of it and the body snapped in two... -

We had to put the infill up. I think it was 100%. Are your caps held on with bolts or screws? We used teeny tiny screws and I think it weakened it a bit. -

@mightyjebusAre they self tappers or did you drill n tap the holes for the lid? -
Not massively experienced in this but I've recently built up a TM aug with a Warhead 27k on board. Its got a cheapy mosfet on board, 11.1v, tight bore (like silly tight!), 18:1 (ss by 2 teeth) and the usual hop stuff. I got about 5 or 6 compliments on how quiet it was, how snappy it was and how much it surprised people when it lobbed a bb at them. In hindsight, maybe i should have gone faster with the motor, but i was a bit "on the fence" as to how much effect it would have.

I have a problem with aliens....Ever been to a meeting at work where, at the end, someone asks if there's any questions? I turn into Hudson at this point and have to stop myself raising my hand and asking "yeah, how do i get out of this chicken shit outfit?" Awesome Pews, by the way. ?

We've printed a couple of these. just waiting on some cap rings to test them. Had a bit of an issue with the "sear" but superglued some 600 grit to the bottom to see if that helped hold it when setting it. Printed in white too, so i dont lose the damn thing! -

No. Nopety nope. I've thought about taking the Mrs, but she has a real short fuse and would be pistol whipping people if she ran out of ammo.....?? -

I got into it because a mate was playing, dragged us out for the day and that was that. Hooked. I take my eldest along and one of his mates too. My eldest is a cadet and a few of his fellow cadets also play. It's kinda infectious.? He's properly found his inner officer as If I lose him on the field, I just stop and listen for a gobby 13 year old barking orders at grown adults or if not that, listen for the highest fire fight. Hell be in the middle of it! I think the games consoles have an influence too. He wanted a p90 because it was cool on COD784 or whatever it's up to now and realistically they all do the same thing, so why not. I even made him a riot shield which he sports along with his m92 and has a scream. The under 18's day we do (apocalypse 249 on a Saturday) is usually packed with the whole spectrum. The rentals having their first go to the mummy's boy with the Gucci gear and no idea. Also in agreement. "Old fart slow soft" is my speed. Tactical walking. ?? -
I've literally just printed and made one of these. I've superglued a bit of 600grit to the "sear" that goes at the top of the bolt to help it as it was a bit tricky to arm (made with creality oem petg). havent had my caps delivered yet, i'm hoping this week to get some tryouts with it. For £12 and however long it took to print, its not a bad set up.

Had to love spitting image. Even to this day, steve "interesting" davis has stuck in my head....

I picked up a donkey copy (years ago!) of paranormal activity. Turns out there was two endings, one "US" (crappy) and one "everyone else" (not crappy!!!!!!). I shat my pants and couldnt sleep properly for ages. Genuinely jarred me. ?

My dad kept getting this one particular knob head phone him up and try to scam him. I was there one day when the pillock rang so i did a jason bourne on him and asked him for his call in ID. when he got confused, i told him that he had contacted a restricted Ministry Of Defence number and i needed his name, the company name and not to hang up as a representative of the MOD would be there to arrest him and his supervisor for breach of the official secrets act. I said it with such authority that the guy hung up and no one ever phoned back. Was worth it just to see my dad crying on the floor with laughter....

And it arrived safe and sound. I like the flat postage box, make the posties job easier and I don't have to check the doorbell every 5 minutes ?

OK, so having searched on this forum and found countless threads that havent been completed or had some sort of closure on it, i'll end this with my conclusions... They are not as scary as you make them out to be in your head. The Hype is real but at the end of the day, its just a badass motor. Get the proper thread lock. download the manual from the website as the BASE motor doesn't come with any. Fit it carefully and like everyone says, "if it just goes click, disconnect it and check it". I left the heatshrink on the motor terminals as I'm a Muppet and i didn't want to reverse polarity kill it. adjust. enjoy. Can honestly say, its a hoot. not the cheapest mod you can do but for pure perverse enjoyment of those small balls travelling, its worth it. Spent all day skirmishing with the Aug and not once did i regret it. If you're on the fence. DO IT. This has been an AUG public service announcement.

I appear to have spent more money at ak2m4. ?????
