Sorry for the bump but has anyone managed to get a battery compartment extension for this yet?
I don't want to damage my cables anymore. I've removed the spring loaded stock opening doodad which gives a bit more room but another 30-40mm would help....
Yup. 25 years industrial maintenance engineer and I hate house wiring. ESPECIALLY plumbing wiring. Bleurch. Gimme a 3 phase or inverter any day!!
Nice panel by the way Dan. Tidy. π
Good points made by all. Interesting read on ASG too. I'm fairly new to the game and had no idea really, hence the question. π
Makes sense that they don't break down completely unless "composted" properly and I can't see many sites running around with a vacuum cleaner picking them up from the woods πππ
I work in the food industry and that wastes a shed load of money/time/plastic, it just doesn't sit right sometimes. (watches ring doorbell for greta visits.....)
Morning team.
Heard a comment at my last skirmish about bio Bb's and I thought I'd ask the collective.
Game was stopped as someone got a shattered bb in the eye through some mesh, I heard a guy say that the bio degradable bb's can shatter.
I have searched but maybe my search terms were off a bit but I like to use them, considering we throw a lot into the woods (some even hit their targetπ) and 40 odd players lobbing a kilo of plastic balls each is going to get greta thunderbug on a mission....
So, for the semi noob in me, do they? Are they bad news? I don't need guilt for blinding someone cos I was trying to do my bit.... ππ
Sorry to bump a month old one but it's about tools and I like tools. π
Grab yourself a decent set of wire strippers too, if you're doing a few connections. I have some rs ones that have survived about 10 years. I'll dig out the number in a bit.
It's better than using side cutters (although I'm a sparky, so still use them a lot) and makes sure your 1.5mm cable is still 1.5 and not 1.3ish when you accidentally stri off strands. π
Well. It's been eventful!
R4 is dead. Tappet snapped and they appear to be held by unicorns as they're quite difficult to find...
The boy now has an m4 variant (340ft/s out if the box!) and the honey badger now at 351ft/s. Yay!
Took him and two of his mates yesterday to apocalypse airsoft in Maidstone and I think they now have the bug too!!
Boy had a bit of a moment when the smoke he was pulling got caught on his glove and burned his finger but they sorted him out and he's still as enthusiastic as ever!
I may have inadvertently purchased an m58b shotgun while I was there too, you know, "just for emergencies"... ππ
Well, we did it. Spent the day running around like nutters and shooting people π
I'm knackered but what a laugh. Honey badger needs a bit more oomph and I'd get more kills throwing my pistol at people rather than actually shooting it at them.π€£π€£
Game, as they say ON. ππ
Cheers for the warm welcome guys. Much appreciated. Have landed a cheap and cheerful mp7 (R4?) by accident, that needs new batteries so job 1 will be looking at the utterly massive world of what will fit and what not to get. π
I'm an engineer so taking things to bits is the easy bit. π€£
The amount of firing my boy was doing at our first skirmish I think I'm going to need to strip a tesla. π
@gamble just subbed. That chair looks comfy π
OK, so 47 years and excessive pies have put me off doing it but after my youngest got hooked, then father /son hobby was born...
I genuinely don't have a clue. Lol. I've got a mate who is really into it and I'm learning what I can so I don't look like a complete noob, just a partial one... π€£
Going to do a few rentals before buying something interesting too.
I will be annoying, asking random questions that have been asked before (must search first!). Hope to pull the right ideas from your experiences.
Er, "game on" π³
