Oh. Oh dear. For years i've had a thing for the Welrod. You know, the sneaky bastard WW2 assassins' gun. The boy got a creality for Christmas and has been getting to grips with it and i've just discovered that a cheap n nasty springer can be fitted into a 3d printed shell for a springy welrod....has to be my next project. On top of the other 30,000 jobs i have to do.

Well, there's a daft story behind that. The guy that got me into airsoft has just gone to HPA. At which point i realized the aeg's in my collection are making too much noise when i pull the trigger. So, faster motor and then maybe faster gears. Moar speeds, less noisy. I ran it on an 11.1v for ONE GAME and realized that 22rps was not my kinda speed. Semi is my thing. (OOER!) I may try the 6.00 barrel i got from AK2M4 at some point but i guess that'll poke me over the limit...

Yeah, i know, me again. Sorry. This ones bugging me a bit though. So. I'm not sure i can justify £110 on a motor for one of my pews. I've put it in my basket, out my basket, in again etc. , but part of me is really concerned. Granted they've had rave reviews and they've cured world peace or something like that but I'm worried about dropping a ton on a motor..... Would a 27k make a noticeable difference? I'm running a standard high torque on a 7.4v lipo (yes, it has mA and C but I cant remember what, as I'm at work and my pew isn't ) I've done the usual gearbox stuff (gears, shims, grease piston blah blah) would a 36k cause pre engagement or am I overthinking it? The pew in question is a TM Aug (with replaced cheese gears). £110 is a days pewing with the boy and not sure i can justify it unless you lot convince me.....

Temporary fix...drill, tap, thread lock and grubscrews... The TM v1 doesn't have lugs to hold the cylinder head, it needs a specific head with a step on it.

Just been to sixmm and bought a one piece cylinder and head. Time for some mcguiver stuff.....(ask your dad). 😁

@Asomodai Have you had the gearbox apart on yours? How is the cylinder head held in place? Might have discovered part of my issue. My cylinder head doesn't have this step so I think it's sucking/blowing (🤣) the cylinder head....

Mag had the last of my 0.25's in. Wasn't lobbing, more suggesting that the bb's leaves the barrel..🤣 Ordered one. Cheers for that. I'd tried searching for all sorts and still couldn't find that! Weird. Maybe an excuse to put 0.2's in it 🤣🤣🤣

I've worked on all my pews, v2, v3, v6 & v7 gearboxes and now I'm onto a v1. Now the guy I bought it from didn't touch it from the day he bought it 2nd hand, but someone has been in there as there was a few things different from the Oem TM spec. Got it all swinging pistons but the balls just fall about 8 feet away. New maple leaf+nub in the hop, barrel spotless but the nozzle is perplexing me. The v1 TM box is an oddball with not many parts out there in internetland. The nozzle is a 20.7 BUT has a 9mm base onto the tappet plate (which is huge! I'm going to measure it and see if I can 3d print a spare as this could be a show stopper if it breaks!😱). Now I'm sure there's some guys on here that have played with them before but am I screaming into a bucket here with this one? (No, I'm not going to hpa it 🤣🤣) Taaa. Pic, cos you know, lego. 😁

Well, ak2m4 does it again. Got home from work to a bouncy kid telling me I've got a weird looking parcel to open...😄 Those 6.00's are gorgeous. Just from en engineering perspective they look fantastic! Cheers bud. Now, cue the music ....😄

Whereabouts in londinium art thoust? Down in "pitchfork and torch" laden kent, we have a few. Kent combat (dartford) , platoon stores (chatham) and a few more deeper south. Surplus stores as mentioned above is also awesome. My wallet goes into meltdown near good shops like this.
