  1. Awesome. 👍 I knew those years studying electronics wouldn't be a waste. I'm a bit rusty but the theory stacks up ok in my head. I'll read it again when I'm awake a bit more tomorrow.
  2. I've got a couple of busted m9's. Not TM but I'll have a look and see if I can find a spring that looks like that 👍
  3. Idea..... (😱) Find out where he plays, when he's playing next. Get a coachload of pissed off people on the hat coach with much singing of Nordic death songs. Drive to said site. Make our own video.....😱 *This is meant as a joke,ok....
  4. (apologies for the caps lock here but...) TAKE THE HOP UNIT APART CAREFULLY AS THE WHOLE UNIVERSE HAS EATEN THE SUPPLY OF HOP UNITS UP. I had to order mine from sixmm in Hong Kong as there's nowt in the UK. I mean, this was 7 months ago and I imagine you've sorted it by now but just trying to help. 😂😂
  5. Ouch. Sounds like someone has had a play and run out of talent. Have a look on the honey badger thread, it's the same gearbox with all the falcony type goodness in it. It might help. Haven't opened mine in ages so can't remember what's going on in there now . 😂
  6. That's the beauty of rifs though. They've been refined already by the real steel version (sa80 MK1/2/3 ah fuck it, just buy the American M4 variant) kinda thing. Strip away all the furniture, they're all pretty much the same anyway. And function over form? Reminds me of my first wife.....😂
  7. I'd like a day off. Like, nothing but films, beers, food. No broken cars, no whining kids, no stressed wife, no work hassles, no broken pews looking at my bank statements giving me a nudge to buy more stuff. Just me, 5.1DTS, Duval/quak, Doritos. Done. Happy. Oh and maybe one of those snow wolf Barrett m82's.... 😁
  8. Oh if you can do it it's monumentalally satisfying. Only sometimes you just have to suck it up and spend more on parts than buying a new one! 😂😂
  9. Some pews just try you, don't they? Boneyard M14. I've learned a LOT repairing this beastie. Only I've just snapped the reciever clean in half on the last knockings of putting it back together. Ping. Feck. My YouTube history goes like this:: M14 gearbox M14 switch assembly M14 why did I do it? M14 screws like wtf? M14 working M oh that's enough Whale music Welding pot metal 😂😂😱😱🙄😢😁 Tis a rollercoaster of a ride.
  10. Ignore this post. it has no relevance. A bit like dripping bumgrain. Move along.....
  11. Having recently rebuilt an EP6CDT engine and a cyma v7 gearbox I have to say that it's a close run thing on which I'd rather work!!!! 😂😂
  12. Gift rif. Grif? RIFT! (does air guitar behind screen) 😁😁😁😂
  13. Find the video on YouTube called "the automatic flash bang dispenser" by Ian at forgotten weapons.... 😱😱😱😱😂 Short for use inside vehicles....😱🤯
  14. You lost me at flange....😂😂😂
  15. I have the JG G3 mc51 ( I think) it's not full size but so far hasn't let me down. Other than my own stupidity (shim holding off the CUL 😱😂) it's been great. I've added a longer outer barrel from a ps90 to make it bigger.
  16. Well, half the order turned up, the other half is still pending, so not all is lost. 😂
  17. I keep buying basket case boneyard things. A £30 AK47 that looked like it had been painted by ray Charles on coke, then managed to shoehorn a load of bits into it that probably shouldn't go into an ak. Than I bought the "crusty little m14" off here. I genuinely don't care about what people do or don't do to their pews, it's theirs, so be it. I like the almost forensic way of fixing them. Although my wife/bank manager may disagree entirely. Crusty m14 is currently in about 50 pieces and awaiting parts from Hong Kong. 😂
  18. I've given my position away a few times after being a sneaky bastard and ending up in the perfect spot, only to stand up, both my knees going "oh no you don't sunshine" and yelping in pain. 😱😆 Hereditary knees (thanks dad! You with your shiney titanium ones) and being a lazy 17 stone engineer has definitely taken its toll. Tactical walking, tuned pews so I don't have to get right in amongst the chaos and carnage and a keen eye for watching what's going on help. Have to say that other than a fractured wrist (watch me climb this barrier to get to the perfect firing position....clunk thud) I haven't ever broken a bone. I let the younglings take the lead and then sweep up when plan A goes to shit. 😂
  19. Cheers chaps. Made me feel a bit better. 😁👍 The bits I've ordered aren't in stock in the UK and I'm not in a rush as Ive got to figure out a v7 gearbox yet 😂
  20. Bugger. Why do I read these things AFTER I've ordered 😂😂😂😂😂😱
  21. Maybe he's having a medical issue and can only reach the 1 on his keyboard
  22. Although they'd hold grease in those grooves....🤔
  23. And there was me thinking binary was dead. 😂 I'll go and relearn my resistor colour code now....🖖😱😁
  24. I'd start at 1500 grit and see how much it takes off. I do paint blemishes with 1500 and thats soft as poo. If you wanna get anal with it, put the wet n dry onto a small piece of flat glass. then sand it. glass=flat.
